Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Polaris, Cannonball, Gambit

Polaris has posed:
It was dark outside and a clear night. The wind was soft and it was still cool enough that the bonfire was a nice addition. Everyone could use the morale boost, and plenty of students came and went at the promises of smores and attempts to roast various meats from the kitchen. But now the fire had burned lower as hours passed and most of the kids had taken their sweet treats and fled inside as it grew later.

A few chair were still spread out in a circle around the fire pit and Lorna sat in one. The young Princess of Genosha wore a pair of beaten up jeans and a black sweatshirt, a bottle of something unmarked in her grip as she watched the flames grow low. After all, she'd promised to keep watch on the fire to make sure it was properly put out.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie has been helping make sure there was wood for the fire, with the occasional training outside of the school there is ussualy a decent amount of wood set aside for firewood. He sits on the stump he was using to chop wood on. A small piece of wood in hand as he whittles shavings flying into the fire, as he does not seem to be making anything more than a pointy stick.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau was wearing sunglasses to protect his unique eyes from the intense light of the fire, but now that it has burned down significantly, he's taken them off. He walks over to the cooler and pulls out a pair of beers, and then a third one. "'ey Sam, catch." He calls, giving one of the bottles a gentle underhand toss that will hit the Kentucky boy in the chest if he doesn't. The other two he carries over to Lorna, offering her one and taking a seat in a chair next to her with the other. "Now dis takes me back." He says with an amused smile. He touches his thumb just under the bottles caps and it flys off the bottle like it was shot out of a cannon.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna set the empty bottle a soda's remains on the grass as Remy approached with a beer on offer. She took it with a grin, lazily twisting the cap off with a flick of her finger and a flex of her powers. She sat up from her slouch as she sipped at it, "Thanks Remy." She glanced toward Same briefly and eyed the fire from her spot. "Well I guess the kids are done with the entertainment of a bonfire. So it's just us I guess." She shrugged, and tilted her head to prop her chin up with her other free hand.

"Do you guys wanna tell scary stories or put another log on...?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will catch the beer and use the knife he was whitteling with to pop the cap off it. "Not really sure what counts as scarey stories for us any more." He grins a bit and says "Would it be and the next day teacher evaluations were due?"

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau laughs a bit leaning back and taking a long drink of his beer. "Mos' of mah campfire stories Ah'm sure yah all 'eard a million times." He says amused and shaking his head. "De hook. De man in de back seat. Dat sort of silliness."

Polaris has posed:
A shrug and Lorna exhaled a breath as she eyed her beer in her grip in the fire's light. "Well, what else do you want to do sitting around a fire?" She snorted and rolled her eyes. "We could talk about the horror show of the Sentinels and how people are trying to kill us.. but really, I'm so sick of it. It's all I do in business meetings and dealing with it.." She made a face as she took another sip of her drink.

"I'd love some good old fashioned horror stories by comparison. Don't people think electro-magnetics deal with ghosties and hallucinations about that shit?" She asked, wiggling her fingers. "We could give it a try. See if you see some spooky ghosts."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "I was always more a sci-fi guy myself, but can try them. If the electromagnetic doesn't work we can always try magic or something. Have you ever faught any ghosts or undead?""

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau chuckles a bit, considering. "Well Ah met an immortal witch once when Ah was a kid." He says with a grin. "From an outside perspective it was pretty creepy. Oat's made in blood, torches. Robed figures in mysterious ceremonies..

Polaris has posed:
Lorna leaned forward, and wiggled her fingers toward Sam as if she might do something with her powers, but she didn't. She leaned back, not having actually used any of her powers on either of them and she smirked faintly. "I'm not sure if it would damage your brains or not if I tried it. So, lets not and say we did." She offered lightly as Sam continued to ask if she'd ever fought a ghost or the undead. She shook her head.

"No, that is not in my realm of issues to deal with." She drawled, taking a sip of her beer again as Remy spoke. "Only witch I've ever met is Wanda, and I dunno if she counts?" She arched a brow, and considered Remy.

"So what was up with this witch?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and nods listening to the two. He does not feel the need to remind them hey know a demon sorceress. He will look over and ask "Deep in the bayou?" Not making fun asking a serious question "Always figured they were sorta like the gullies back home, some you don'y go into.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins slightly and shrugs a bit, "Chandra was de original founder of de T'ieves an' Assassin's guild. She's one of de mos' beautiful women Ah've evah laid eyes on, X-Women included. Which is pretty good foh being ovah 500 years old Ah'd say. An when Ah met 'er it wasn' in de Bayou, non. It was in a cemetery. Undah a cemetary actully."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna glanced at Sam and then back to Remy as each one spoke, still sipping her beer as the fire illuminated all of them in a warm orange glow. She leaned back, refolding her legs and making the lawn chair beneath her creak with the movement. "Huh, and here I thought the age gap between my father and Rogue was creepy." She teased, but it was clear she was deeply interested in what Remy had to say regarding this strange woman.

"So you're talking about a legitimate witch in terms of Cajun culture from the south.. right? All those old folklore bits and myths but as real." She mused, her eyebrow hitching upward. "Did she bathe in the blood of kids or something to stay so hot?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will moves to stoke the fire a little with adding another small log to it. "There is usually something those wierd things are based on. I did not see many witches or such, but moonshiners and fueds, yea they are pretty much real back home.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau shrugs. "She's got me convinced as ta 'er Witchiness." the Cajun says with a shrug. "Dare de possibility she some sort of mutant or alien or somet'ing but Ah ain' questioning it." He takes a sip of his beer and adds, "An' non she not aftah dare blood. An' she at leas' wait till dey sixteen, so not sure yah c'n consider dem kids eit'er." He says it calmly, watching Sam out of the corner of his eye to see if he gets a reaction from the boy.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna snorted lightly, as she tried and failed to hide a chortle of laughter as Remy made the comment about the woman and her witchiness. A slow shake her head followed, "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.." She drawled, sipping at her beer still with a quiet calm. She cleared her throat after a beat, leaning back.

"Doesn't matter if she was a mutant or not. She might be, but magic is a thing that exists.. So who knows?" She shrugged once and leaned back in her chair.

"So, if so far, most everything exists.. and Rogue's Dad was kidnapped by Mothman.. does that mean the Jersey Devil exists? What about the Loch Ness Monster?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will shakes his head a bit to Gambit's comment chuckleing softly to that. there are some that do the whole life draining, but not sure about via bodily fluids." He will lean back, and sips his beer thoughtfully.

Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins slightly and nods. "Foh 'er it was about power Ah t'ink. And control. If she wanted yah, she could 'ave yah. If she was gonna kill yah afterwards, she coul' do dat too.. De first time Ah met 'er was ta present my firs' tithe. 'Bout a million wort' of diamonds an' saphires in dis necklace. She accepted it an' Ah became a recognized member of de guild. If she'd 'ave refused it, dare was a man dare ta cut mah 'ead off."

Polaris has posed:
A slow shake of Lorna's head followed as she rose and she downed the rest of her beer. She picked up the empty bottles around her seat and nodded to Sam and Remy. "Well on that note, glad you're still alive. I'm gonna bring in the empties here. I'll be back to help watch the fire later." She smiled as she bent to grab a few more cans of soda that had been left out and made her way back to the Mansion proper.
