Tinyplot: Sentinels

Frank Quaid has posed:
The sun has set in Newark and breezes blows in steadily off the water carrying the smell of salt water. A few factories in the area are still lit and in full-production round the clock. Port Newark itself is bright as daylight under six-storey high floodlights. Several container ships are in port and gantries, five-storey rolling cranes, are transferring containers with the help of longshoremen below. The port itself is a massive paved expanse surrounded in barbed wire with several entrances for trucks going in and out. There are rows upon rows of containers stacked at least three-storeys high everywhere, creating a weird maze of containers with a clear space closest to the ships.

A supervisor drives by the MSC Oscar in their pickup truck. Some of the crew are gathered at the foot of the gangway, talking with a few longshoremen. It is another busy night at they are under time pressure to get the ship unloaded, reloaded and out of the way for the next ship.

The people on the decks and on the port proper near the MSC Oscar look around as a sudden wind whips around. Three 50-foot tall Sentinel robots touchdown on the port and begin scanning. They fixate on the group of people at the foot of the gangway.

"SURRENDER MUTANTS!" one of the Sentinels booms.

People look over in shock and the gantries come to a halt.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller is actually working at the docks. He works as a forklift as one of his jobs. At the words. He stops looking around to see where the sentinels are and if they are looking his way. He will look around for a fork lift that does not belong to the people he works for , no reason to be fired after all. And with one hand he will pick it up, and send it flying through the air at the back of the nearest Sentinel's head.

Green Lantern (Scott) has posed:
Buisness never stops, and buisness is what Alan Scott had been up to. Talking to the manager of one of the warehouses that handles imports for the gear he uses at Gotham Communications he was making his way down to the small luxury car when the three Sentinels make their presence known. putting his keys back in the pocket of his jacket the older man idly thumbs the dark ring on his right hand as he watches to see what exactly is about to happen.

Kid has posed:
Newark was a GRAND place to find pieces of tech as far as Kid was concerned. People weren't going to miss a few parts here, a few parts there. Alright so he was still trying to kick his old habits, and some days are worse than others...but what can you do?
That being said, Kid was in the maze, or more accurately ontop. He was had up an illusion that rendered for all intents and purposes invisible to many people within his range. But when the Sentinels touched down....he smiled.

Yes. Smiled.

He bounds over the crates and gets as close as he can. Kid pulls a pair of binoculars from his pack and looks to the sentinels. He was...studying them. Trying to find out what he can of the outside for when he attempts to get on the inside. He intended to snatch up parts...but doing that to a currently active sentinel is not what one would call easy. And so the rilla watched for now.

Diablo has posed:
Chato Santana was a long way from his territory in New York City. He had been carefully and eloquently carving an empire in the small corridors of Spanish Harlem and the New Lots, bringing some degree of order to the police corruption that the Maggia was involved in. Those neighborhoods were rough to the common criminal, and the average resident was being punished.

Murder, death, devilry, nothing but a method to El Diablo. But corruption?

It was the Devil's place to punish those that lied.

Chato Santana had heard of a corrupt harbormaster that was using undocumented migrants as labor in a human trafficking scheme out of Newark, exporting local women to Oman with the very flesh of the poor that was being used to do the lifting.

It made Diablo want to vomit, but it felt more like a rising fire in his gut that forced him to flare into dreams of larceny and volcanos in his sleep. Somewhere, in another dimension, the fellows of the Aztlan entity inside him roared to him to remedy the offense.

El Diablo, pistol in his belt, loped along the outside of the dock, looking through the fence with the sun glinting across the barbed wire above. As the Sentinel sets down, Chato grins toothily, realizing he has a cover to put a round in the harbormaster's head. He pulls his pistol out of his belt and slams a clip from his bowling jacket pocket into the lock, before pulling the stock back and flipping the safety off.

He stares directly at the Sentinel, who may recognize him on the Metahuman Fugitive List. A costly error, underestimating an automaton.

Frank Quaid has posed:
The 9,000 lbs. forklift sails through the air toward the southermost Sentinel. It arcs impossibly to most observers, and slams into the back of the head of the 40,000 lbs. robot. It staggers forward under the blow. People scramble to get out of the way as big feet come crashing down. The Sentinel steadies itself by catch on to the MSC Oscar, causing a rending creak and cries of alarm as the ship rolls under the sudden weight.

The northern Sentinel, that spoke, crouches a bit so that it is below the tops of the stacks of containers from the direction the forklift came from.

"SURRENDER MUTANTS" It repeats, now raising a hand at the terrified and scrambling people.

The third Sentinel, to the east, turns in the direction the forklift came from. It catches sight of Chato and a scanning beam lances out and over him. Then it ignores him and its rockets flare, sending backwash all over. It takes off into the air over the stacks, looking toward where Joseph is.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller will move through the stacks or cargo containers. He considers one of them, but for now, he starts to climb up onto one. He knows it might put him in the line of fire, but if he is going to do anything he needs to get into arm's reach of the giant robot.

Green Lantern (Scott) has posed:
Brilliant emerald energy wreathed in fire erupts from near the parked car as Alan Scott decides that he should help and intervene tendrils of the flame leading from the ring on his right hand up to three impossibly thick, and long flaming green chains that go flying towards the Sentinel that has it's arm raised as if to use a weapon to wrap around and stick to the palm blocking the port for the weapon.

?You three boys, head on back to where you came from.? Comes the loud voice of Green Lantern, his suit burning away to be replaced with the decades old costume his cloak fluttering in the wind as he rises into the air.

Kid has posed:
Kid went from observing...to acting. He saw the raised hand...and remember what these things are capable of. Before he knows it he is charging forward along the top of the containers. He wasn't going for the sentinel though....no no no. He wasn't THAT dumb. He was going for the gantry!
Thankfully he was quick for knuckle running, but was he quick enough to stop that hand? He had no clue. But regardless, Kid was going to try. The gorilla would quickly try to scale the gantry and reach the controls. Tech was something he was generally quick to figure out...and well, he was tyring to quickly figure out how to work the thing so he can try and whack the sentinel in the arm and redirect it before it blasts anyone

Diablo has posed:
Chato shifts back onto his heel, with his basketball trained stance, his leg relaxing and his pistol hand moving back, as he witnesses the forklift go sailing through the air. Someone else here has juice, and is dealing with these giant robotic pillars of toilet slime. He doesn't a corrupt government agency anymore than he likes a cop beating a kid, but he has a narrow mission, by his own choice of rationale.

Chato swings around as the Sentinels stop paying attention to him, believing his dare has worked, and goes dashing alongside the fence. There's a flare of fire around him in a ball that trails the ground behind him in a pair of burning print-marks for his Chuck Taylors, and he slings himself through the fence, a burst of twisting and screaming metal wire audible as he pitches himself along.

The fire extinguishes itself in a plume of black smoke and he goes running towards the building alongside the seaport, where the tower for the harbormaster alights over the yard.

Frank Quaid has posed:
The eastern Sentinel (Sentinel 3) in the air drifts towards where Joseph had been, lands and looks around. A couple of tradespeople that were working on high voltage box nearby yell in alarm. The Sentinel scans them, raises a hand and fires a stun beam at them. They both go down where they stand.

Emerald green chains spring into existence and latch themselves onto the northern Sentinel (Sentinel 1) with its hand up. The Sentinel's head turns toward the Lantern, followed by its body. It turns at the torso without moving its feet and fires a bolt of ruby red energy out of its hand right up the middle between the chains toward the Lantern.

Crew are clinging onto the MSC Oscar deck for dear life. Those on the ground are scattering in different directions, clearly not paying any attention to the Sentinel's command. The supervisor pickup is racing backwards away from the MSC Oscar.

The Sentinel that was hit in the head (Sentinel 2) rights itself and looks around. It has a big dent in the back of its head and one of its eyes is no longer lit. It looks at the people runnind and starts firing red bolts at two longshoremen in particular who are hiding behind the giant wheel of a gantry (not the one Kid went after).

Kid scrambles up the ladders of the gantry until he gets to the pilot house. The two men inside go from staring wide-eyed at the Sentinel in front of them to staring wide-eyed at the Gorilla in front of them.

"What the fuck?!" one of the operators yells, backing away.

The harbourmaster tower is in chaos. People are running inside. Inside the observation deck, seen through the windows from the outside, it looks like people are yelling into phones, radios and at each other. Timothy Clarke, harbourmaster, is easy to pick. Very tall, heavy, and roud, the middle aged man is anything but inconspicuous.

There is another wash of wind and the foot rockets of three more Sentinels can be seen above, descending quickly toward the port. A bolt of ruby red lances out from one of them right at Sentinel 2!

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller will go from running to making a leap from the storage units. He hollars at the bot "Hey Moe, here I am." he is trying to come in swinging and get on the killer machine where it will have problems with hitting him with ranged items.

Kid has posed:
Seriously, you think people would get over the fact that yes, sapiant gorillas exist. Move on already! Kid did NOT have time for this. And as it stands Kid can be...brutish.

And now seemed like the perfect time for a snack.

Kid leaps forward, attempting to grapple one or both the operators. He really doesn't care if one gets away or not...since that wasn't quite the point. Kid was going Drain Their Brains. Not enough to kill them, but enough to A) knock them out and B) Gain (tempoarily) their skills and knowledge which would be useful for operating the Gantry. Again that if he manages to actually catch one of these fools.

Diablo has posed:
El Diablo ducks his head down as someone gets in his way, a shoulder push from his right and a football spin used to circumvent them, pulling around to run again, losing a step that he quickly recovers with a hop and a flatfooted slap onto the pavement. Chato Santana looks up at the harbormaster, his eyes locking on the man that he saw in his dreams.

Feeling the adrenaline in his veins give way to infernal intent, the Fire God inside him demands justice as he feels his lungs burn with preternatural need. It's not fatigue - it's desire. The rage of an ancient deity demands he take justice into his own hands, his chest puffing out as he steps into the doorway at the base of tower. His energy is boundless, driven forward by the darkness that is only held in check by an imagine of La Madonna in black, in his mind.

Pistol out and forward, Chato points it at those inside the office, walking forward with a slick sheen of gibbering rage, teeth shown in a warped grimace along his facial tattoos, his eyes black as heat rises off him in a subtle swelter, steam coming from a nearby frantically bubbling water cooler.

Frank Quaid has posed:
Joseph catches Sentinel 2 with its back turned. He makes a huge leap from the top of a stack of green containers that comes up to the Sentinel's shoulder. The thing starts to turn its head when its audio sensors pick up a voice at an unlikely height, but it had not turned its head by the time Joseph lands on its shoulder. Then the thing lurches sideways and a searing red bolt blasts into the concrete where Sentinel 2 was standing a second before. It leaves a small smouldering crater. Sentinel 2 raises both its hands and fires up into the air one of the flying Sentinels (Sentinel 4!).

Sentinels 5 and 6 land in the port on the opposite side of the gantry from Sentinel 3, which was trying to shoot two longshoremen. The open fire with one hand each, and their beams shoot between the gantry's spindly legs. One catches Sentinel 3 in the shoulder and sends it stumbling backward. It sits down heavily on the MSC Oscar, making the ship rock and groan again. Without hesitating, it grabs two containers in one hand and hurls them at Sentinel 3.

Inside the gantry near Sentinel 1, first there is screaming and then there is silence. The two men go down under Kid's weight, flailing ineffectually. From the smell, one of them pissed himself. Their energy pours out of their brains, drenched with dread. And suddenly the gantry controls all seem familiar to Kid.

"Oh my god, he's got a gun!" shouts a man in a hard hat. He ducks behind a desk. Two women in safety vests at the foot of the tower stairs go wide-eyed and back away from the stairs. They eye Chato and the water-colour. The shorter of the two keeps saying 'no no no no' and crossing herself.

The shot from Sentinel 1 blazes toward the Green Lantern. When Sentinels 5 and 6 land, Sentinel 1 walks sideways, dragging the chains attached to one of its hands, to take cover behind a row of containers.

Kid has posed:
It hard to tell what worse, the taste dread, or the smell of piss. He was used to both, since yea, he tended to scare his...'victems' pretyy badly. But hey, they were knocked out and safe from danger....untill Kid saw more sentinels, one of which had broken a Gantry.

He growls to himself thinking 'Frack me!' But on the bright side, there were sentinels...attacking sentinels! he liked the new sentinels, because they were damaging the other sentinels. Win-Win!

Kid takes to the controls of the country as if he has been using them for years. The crane springing to life as he lifts up one of the carriers with it. Once lifted, he sends it careening towards Sentinel 1 hoping to give it one hell of a wack. Granted he sure as hell wasn't doing this according to regulations, moving the container much to fast, and in a somewhat unbalanced weigh to add more heft to the attack.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller will grab his hands into the sentinel's head, trying to stir the thing, but if that does not work, he will try to rip the thing's head off. The large man hoping to take down one of these things and cursing under his breath at the other two landing "Where is the Justice league when you need them. He blinks a moment wondering are the sentinels fighting one another.

Diablo has posed:
Chato Santana stalks towards the woman crossing herself, flashes going through his mind of an old woman in Coast City praying with him, as a little bear, in Native-accented Spanish, the riddles and cards and hymns of sacred faiths from across a sea murmuring inside him. He stands over her, gun pointed down at her, his left hand gripping the right. He looks like he wants to kill her, his arms and shoulders shaking, as he stares down at her.

"You are well to remember your blasphemous Catechism, woman. Remember this day, when you met Death, and he spared you for showing tears."

With that, he snaps away and mounts the stairs, pistol pointed upwards as he climbs in an efficient, but lax manner, looking upwards with the heat in his chest rising as his stomach churns and the world slides about in his eyes. His mind is full of ancient tongues of the New World, Apache and Mayan and Carib blending above fires and suns and birds. He hears a distant roar, shouts from above, thousands of people worshipping the sun as screams riot upwards into the high day.

Frank Quaid has posed:
Alarms go off inside the gantry control room as just about every safety limit is exceeded on the swing. Easily 50,000 lbs. of containers swing around in a slow but accelerating arc. Sentinel 1 is mid-stride when the load smacks into its left shoulder. It was not the speed so much as the inertia that sends Sentinel 1 tumbling through a stack of containers. The green chains holding its one arm. From its back, it fires a shot up into the air at Sentinel 4, not wasting any time.

Sentinel 4 is caught in the crossfire of Sentinels 1 and 2 while trying to land. It spins and then there is an explosion in its chest. The machine falls out of the sky, grinding up the concrete as it furrows a path to within forty feet of the harbour master tower. Inside the tower, the ground shakes enough to rattle anything that isn't nailed down.

The woman is terrified and weeps openly when Chato points his gun at her. She collapses to her knees when Chato turns for the stairs and the other people in the room are too stunned to react. The stairwell is empty. Anyone ahead of Chato has made it upstairs and ain't nobody coming up those stairs behind him. The chaotic din of voices trying to get information and relay commands gets louder and louder as he nears the open doorway of the third floor.

Sentinel 2 tracks Sentinel 4 with its hand. Another ruby red glow starts to form on its hand. It does not turn its body but the head servos try to fight Joseph. There is creaking, grinding, then the screaming of shearing steel and Joseph rips the head clear off the Sentinel. The body stays frozen in place. The inside of the chest looking in from the top is a rats nest of wires, eletronics, relays, motors and more.

The longshoremen hiding from Sentinel 3 make a break for it but are knocked down when Sentinel 5 pushes the gantry aside. Unfortunately for it, that just eliminated its cover from the flying containers Sentinel 3 threw from the boat. Sentinels 5 and 6 and hit by containers and step backwards. It is only step but enough for Sentinel 3. lt leans forward off the MSC Oscar so it is standing with knees half bent. Then it unleases a steady blaze of red at the chests of Sentinels 5 and 6.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller wil take the head and tosses it at the trio of sentiels. aiming for the first one (3), but hoping he might be able to pull off the 7-10 split as well. But he does not stay watching the throw, no he jumps down the neck hole of his headless friend, and starts ripping and yanking and crushing anything he can get his hands on working his way down planning on punching his way out one of the feed or at least the crotch.

Kid has posed:
Kid grins with some...ahem...insane glee to say the least. Giant fighting robots, and beating said robots up? This is the most gloriouse day in history! That being said, there were alot of people down there, all panicking to say the least.
Kid sends out a telepathic pulse, carrying a message. Not that his 'psychic voice' was very frirndly, but considering the sitution, it seemed called for. o O("Hey, if any of yalls are still scrambling around outside. Just take a truck and smash it through a fence and get out of here already")
As the message was sent out, he has the container lift up and moves it over sentinel 1. Where he will than attempt to drop and lift the container box multiple times in an attempt to smash it as if he was using a more traditional hammer...in a much less traditional manner.

Diablo has posed:
El Diablo reaches the top of the stairwell, his lung still full despite the climb up to the top of the tower. He's got more than enough rage and hate and infernal bile in him to keep going, plus a lifetime full of street brawling and weightlifting.

Chato places his left hand, timidly at first as he hears the sounds in the harbormaster's vantage, before he strengths his resolve and raises his gun.

There's a lurch as he steps inside, moving to his left with the pistol, then scanning to his right over the barrel, holding it like a police officer by instinct as he looks for the harbormaster in the crowded, panicking office full of people.

Frank Quaid has posed:
The head of Sentinel 2 sails halfway across the port at Sentinel 3. The head slams into its side and it hits the MSC Oscar a third time. This time the lines give way and the ship starts very slowly drifting away from the pier. Sentinel 3 is left with its head and shoulders on the ship, feet on the concrete and a widening gap between them.

Sentinel 2 gets cored by Joseph as he forces his way down through the chest and out the bottom. He notices toward the bottom that it is getting really hot inside that Sentinel really fast. When he punches through the crotch, it about a 1.5 storey drop to the concrete.

When Sentinel 3's beams are cut off by the head strike, everyone can see the damage done to Sentinels 5 and 6. Their chests are blackened and melted, with gaping holes exposing melted and burning innards. Sentinel 5 remains balanced in place while Sentinel 6 tilts and falls. With an enormous crash it hits the edge of the concrete pier and grinds along it as it falls into the ocean.

Unfortunately, the gantry is not doing terribly well after its impact with the Sentinel. The alarms continue to blare and the load is hanging at an awkward angle and is swinging badly. The structure creaks and shudders. It is not a good place to be anymore.

Sentinel 1 has finally managed to get to its feet. It scanning lights dance out and around, touching on some wounded and cowering people. It turns its head to the gantry Kid is in. Then it unceremoniously fires its foot rockets and starts to rise. Containers are pushed aside by the downthrust.

Nobody seems to notice Chato immediately, since they are consumed with their near panic and futile attempts to 'get a handle' on the situation. The harbourmaster himself is the first to notice Chato. His eyes go wide and he drops the radio mic in his hand. He shoves a serious looking woman with greying hair toward Chato and starts backing away in a hurry.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller will dive out of the sentinel, and frowns. He will grab the things food and try to toss it as far out to sea as he can. He makes sure not to angle it towards the Oscar at least. One that is done he is heading for high ground again to get a look at whats going on.

Diablo has posed:
Chato draws dead on the harbormaster, El Diablo narrowing his eyes into a cold dead squint of recognition. Gun trained on him, he keeps it on him as the woman is shoved in the path, walking forward in his Chuck Taylors with slow, sure intent.

"So, amigo, I come all the way here, and you make your wife serve me dinner?"

He continues to walk, pointing the gun at the woman and refusing to back down, getting closer and closer, daring her to continue to get in his way.

"I think you should've thought about taking a bribe from a guy with slick hair and a dumpy belly before you stopped looking in the mirror, ese."

Kid has posed:
Kid notices how the structure is shaking and shuddering. The blareing alarms where annoying, but that life. He backs off from the controls as the sentinel begins to lift up. The time to go was now.
But not alone. Kid picks up the two people he knocked out and than leaves. Both stack onto one shoulder with his arm holding both tightly he leaves the Gantry and quickly decendes down it as quickly as he can. Specifically he goes to jump for one of the contains again, since he doesn't think the structure was going to last long enough to reach the bottom the normal way..

Frank Quaid has posed:
Joseph drops to the ground and tries to get a grip on the Sentinel's foot. When he goes to lift it, no matter how hard he strains it does not move. The thing is much heavier than Joseph assumed. There is a growing shriek from inside the Sentinel and there is a massive heat shimmer inside the hole Joseph came out of. Then there is an enormous flash.

The woman that was pushed opens her mouth to yell at the harbour master then sees the gun pointed at her. She drops and slides sideways behind a desk.

"Fuck you!" The harbour master yells and runs at Chato. A stocky woman in jeans and a plaid shirt to Chato's left reaches for the man's gun arm and one of the men on the phones picks up a binder and throws it at Chato. Others yell and dive for cover.

Kid made a good call. He gets about halfway down the gantry lugging to the two unconscious operators and then feels it begin to lean. He jumps off one of the platforms between sets of stairs toward a container stack and lands on top of it.

Sentinel 3 fires its foot boosters but its shoulders are wedged up against the MSC Oscar. Instead of blasting away, it pushes the ship faster making a bigger gap beneath it.

Sentinel 1 accelerates as it rises, blasting off into the night.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller will see whats going before he aint seeing anything from the flash. The big man will head t jump and dive himself into the water if he can't get the explosion away from him, then he has to get himself away from it.

Diablo has posed:
Chato Santa's gun is stripped and it goes flying to the ground, only the gun's machining preventing a random discharge. Chato swings about with a lash of his arm for the woman stripping the gun, sending his left flying at her with a backhand meant to take her out of the grapple.

The binder bounces off Chato, El Diablo grunting and refusing to shed the blood of the people in the office, besides of course the harbormaster. He's here for one man, and he knows he's got these people outgunned (?).

As the harbormaster goes running at El Diablo, the Mexican gangster offers him a sharp look, daring him to come forward and tackle him, to let the harbormaster gain a temporary advantage and isolate the pair of them from the others in the tower.

Frank Quaid has posed:
Joseph makes an enormous leap over a stack of containers and into the ocean behind the MSC Oscar. Then Sentinel 2 explodes in a massive explosion of incadescent white light, followed a fireball and a shockwave that sends containers skidding and toppling.

The shockwave rattles the ground and shatters the windows of the harbourmaster's tower. The harbourmaster takes flying shards of glass in the side of the face. His hands fly up to his face and his charge at Chato turns into a forward stumble in Chato's direction. The woman who grabbed Chato takes the backhand full force and reels backwards. She doubles over in pain.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller knows how to swim, maybe not well but at least some, and he will swim downward for a few before heading back up, and to the surface of the water. He will look around the place sighing a bit as he realizes he is going to need to look for another job.

Kid has posed:
Kid is glad he jumped when he did! That crane wasn't going to last much longer! But as he hefts the men he jumped with back up, he looks back in time to see the robot heating up, to hear the shrieking...and ultimate to know what was about to go down.
Kid books it like it no ones buissness, carrying the men with him. He soon leaps forward and down and continues running. But he wasn't fast enough. The explosion hit and he and the people he carrying go flying forward, as do the containers around them. As the container go carening, Kid, curls over the men despite the fact it probably won't help if a container does land on them. But at this point it all he can do - it not like he has super strength or speed!

Diablo has posed:
Chato Santana grits his teeth and closes his eyes as the glass sprays into the interior of the tower, the sharp industrial-blown sand cutting up his face as well.

There's a stumble, along with the harbormaster, as he reels with pain, feeling blood trickling out of him, but he's redoubled in his efforts by a roar.

NOW! a voice screams in his head.

His arm whips about to grasp the harbormaster's head in his hand, from the temple, before his palm bursts into an explosion of white colored flame, the hottest hue of fire available inside earth's atmosphere.

Frank Quaid has posed:
Every 100 feet or so there are grimy, rust and seaweed covered ladders that rise up out of the water to the top of the concrete pier above. It will be no problem for Joseph to climb back out.

He does have a ringside seat to the fate of Sentinel 3. The MSC Oscar slides sideways from its berth, engines off and out of control for the moment. Sentinel 3's feet slide off the pier once the ship is far enough away and the Sentinel falls into the ocean with a huge splash that sends out ripples that lift Joseph up and down. The Sentinel sinks out of sight. People onboard the ship can be heard yelling to each other urgently in Tagalog.

Kid's instinct were dead on. Jumping down off the stack of containers kept the brunt of the shockwave from hitting him. The top containers from nearby rows slide off and topple to the ground, spilling electronics, dried food, furniture and probably no small amount of illegal drugs onto the concrete. One of the containers from the stack behind Kid falls toward him when he hunkers down over the unconscious men.

There is barely time for the harbourmaster to scream before the water inside his head superheats faster than it can escape. The head just comes apart under the flame and the arid filled with the stench of burning flesh. The harbourmaster's huge frame drops lifelessly to the ground. The woman that grabbed Chato had been recovering but when she sees what happens she just stands there staring ahead in shock. The man with the binder loses his mind and runs directly away from Chato, clambouring over desks, the control console, and then backs himself right out the window. He scream ends with a wet smack.

Overlord has posed:
Joseph Miller will head to get back to the pier by one of said latters, but he does keep an eye on where that sentinel went down and the ship. He is not counting number one out till it has been a while or the ship is clear of the danger zone.

Diablo has posed:
Chato Santana shows his teeth as he wipes his face of blood from the glass fragments lodged there, before he turns about, tugging his bowling jacket and stalking down the stairs, unfortunately forgetting his blood stained pistol (with his fingerprints) in the harbor office, beside his victim. His Chuck Taylors take him down the stairs in rapid order, with a little hustle, his breath growing deep at the bottom. He stalks out, and takes a look right and left, as he briskly but nonchalantly walks towards the hole he created in the fence.

Kid has posed:
Kids eyes were closed as he heard the crashing all around him. And than...there was silence. Nothing but the sound of waves and seagulls...and stuff spilling. He opens his eyes...and he is damn relief to see the container had miraculouse landed INCHES from where he and the men were...the container brushing his fur. A sigh of relief escapes him, but he wasn't staying put. He'll still drag the two men with him...away from this disaster zone of drugs, scrapnel, robots...was that a drone? Okay, Kid may have SLIGHTLY detoured to stuff a drone in his pack. but back to the matter at hand, he was bringing these fellas to safty...and making sure his human/mutant illusion was appropiately up.

Frank Quaid has posed:
There is no sign of Sentinel 3, even waiting long enough for a tug to start roaring across the harbour to wrangle the wayward container ship.

On the pier it is a mess. Containers are everywhere. People are standing around dazed or making for the perimeter. To add to the confusion, emergency services personnel start driving into the port and running around. Nobody notices any of the three men as they fade into the night, the crowd or back into the office to get some dry clothes.
