Retaliation: Not Quite As Planned

Synopsis: Fiona thinks she's coming to visit June and be of help. Frank, however, decides that's not happening.

June Connor has posed:
    June's had better days. In a hospital gown, laying on the bed, June has a cast on her right fore leg, and a tube across her face. Under arrest, but under treatment at the hospital for the poisonous gas and her broken leg. She was the only person left when everyone fled the scene, caught in a beartrap in the doorway of Linda Macenzie's room. In her pocket was a broken poison dart. Lab analysis isn't back, but odds are good it's the poison that killed her.

    June's record isn't short. Disturbing the peace, a visit to Juvy when she was younger. A runaway. Member of the Purple Dragons gang. A new entry says that she is a suspected member of the Hand. Disappeared at age 17 with several outstanding warrants including assault, reckless endangerment, shoplifting, and armed robbery.

    The name she gave was Cara Thomas, no criminal record, but wanted for questioning on several misdemeanors. Cara apparently is 24 years old, where June is just 20.

    She sits with the back on the bed, flipping through channels on the TV. "Damn soap operas, who watches this shit?" she mutters.

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fiona meantime is walking into the lobby asking to speak to Cara. She's coming in with her usual clothing on, and she's not brought a gun this time. Not that she needs one, given she can fight. Still she shakes her head and steps toward the reception. "Hey, I'm here to see a Cara Thomas" she says and steps back to take a seat. "Oh my name? Fiona Glenanne." she says and takes a seat. Fi's picking up one of the magazines as she's pulling off the 'looking bored' thing really. She is bored, and.....looks unhappy....mostly due to being bored and waiting and grumpy.

Frank Quaid has posed:
Frank frowns as he leaves the ER recovery wing and reads over a message from the detective-sergeant running the hospital investigation at the moment. It is about someone at the front counter asking to see the in-custody, and the name came back with a brutal criminal record. Frank curses under his breath.

<<Get some uniforms nearby but out of sight>> he texts back. <<I'll handle it.>>

Frank walks down the hall and waves down one of his detectives passing the other way. He gets her handcuffs from her, then goes a bit closer. He waits a couple of minutes until he feels the uniformed members have had time to arrive, then walks into the lobby. He checks in with the person at the front counter. She points at Fiona. Frank walks over.

"Fiona Glenanne?" he asks. "I'm Captain Frank Quaid, NYPD. Do you have some ID with you?"

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fi pulls out her ID and nods. "I got ID, yes" she says. "What's this about, Captain Quaid?" she asks then looks serious. "If you want my input on something then you can just ask me" she says and stands up. "If you don't mind, Captain, I need to speak to Miss Thomas upstairs about a family matter" she says and she's bluffing....though her ID is real...she looks annoyed at being asked for ID when all she wants to do is speak to, as she puts, it...family.

She's got a bad feeling about this, though. She's unarmed. She's done /nothing/ wrong in her eyes. She's not looking happy as she shakes her head. "Hang on though. I'd like to speak to Miss Thomas before you do anything" she points out.

Frank Quaid has posed:
Frank accepts her ID, looks it over and then pockets it.

"Ms. 'Thomas', is indisposed. And you are under arrest for several outstanding warrants," Frank says. "Turn around and put your hands behind your back."

A couple of uniform officers walk into the far side of the lobby out of the hallways. There is nobody between Fiona and the door.

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fiona doesn't move for amoment as if taking it in. "What. They sent a captain to arrest somebody on warrants? I thought you were the big shot for terrorism and all over the news? Isn't this a little beneath you?" Fiona asks, her fiery temper rising, but she's got an idea on how to sort this. "So let's see. You're arresting me on warrants? What warrants?" she asks and moves to do as instructed, though she's quiet, not saying anything that'd incriminate her. She's also keenly aware as of right now....she's not been read her rights. Fi's been in /enough/ trouble to know lawyers

Frank Quaid has posed:
Frank watches Fiona carefully while she rants at him. He does not rise to the bait. When she turns, he moves to try and grab her right wrist and handcuff her.

"We'll get you all the details," Frank assures Fiona as he moves to take her into custody.

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
Fiona lets herself get arrested, though she's made a note she's not been read her rights. Still, Fi wants a lawyer, she's just got to pick which one....well, a lawyer /on retainer/ for afterwards to ensure she's on the straight and narrow. Maybe going through this is a badge of honor, or rite of passage, really. She's got a ton of info that the NYPD /might/ want to hear, but she'll do her best to drive a hard bargain.....or, at the least, think about it. Fi looks unhappy at being arrested, since /nobody/ is happy about getting a set of new cuffs.

Frank Quaid has posed:
Frank secures the cuffs on Fiona and slips one hand under arm to keep a hold of her. He pulls out his phone and starts audio-recording. "This is recording now, by the way. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I've read? Do you want to speak with a lawyer?"

Once he finishes, and before she anwers, he beckons to one of the uniformed officers to come over. People glance curiously at Fiona and Frank as they walk by to other parts of the hospital. A hospital security officer has poked her head into the lobby and is watching.

Fiona Glenanne has posed:
"No" Fiona says. "I'd like to just get this over with" Fi says and looks around quietly. She's been cuffed. No running away now....but...she's a crafty, resourceful woman really. You don't survive as long as Fi has in a nation like Ireland without being a little creative. Still she's playing along for now. ..she's got a feeling this won't go to trial. If by some curveball it does, she's got an idea who to call. Plus, Fi's not fighting. She's absolutely being a model detainee. She's even being polite and respectful.....despite her inner temper.

Frank Quaid has posed:
The uniformed officer takes hold of Fiona, not roughly but certainly firmly. She is escorted out of the hospital for transport to cells for processing on her warrants.
