New Student Testing CC-1
Date of Scene:	27 June 2019
Location:	Danger Room - X-Men Base
Synopsis:	Colt does well in his first time in the Danger Room.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will have met colt upstairs at the elevator. "Ok today we are going to do some of your more formal testing of your powers." He will push down taking Colt to the sub basement "This is where the more sensitive equipment is kept." He will lead him to a large door opening with a hand press "This is the danger rom, it is used for training, and is not to be used alone. The gentleman here is Josh Foley, I asked him to be here today, as a bit of your testing may need his unique touch."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Colt Cassidy looks at Josh and offers a smile, "Uh, hey there." He says, offering one of his clawed hands to the other man, "Good to meet you. Haven't seen you running around but hey there's so many folks here that's not surprising."

Elixir has posed:
Josh shakes Colt's hand with a big grin on his face.

"Nice to meet you! I haven't been around much for a bit, I live off campus. Looking forward to seeing what you can do though. I heard about the protest. Nice work!"

Josh glances at Sam and back to Colt. "If this guy thinks you're worth testing, you're definitely doing something right," Josh confides to Colt.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Doug, Sibil, and Ah were the ones to bring Colt here in. " He looks over and says "Doug gives the run down on the room better than I can, but if you have seen a holo-deck on star track, your in one. It is designed so you can not get seriously harmed and can be about any place. Today I am wanting to see about testing your strength and perhaps your damage resistance. Part of why I asked Josh to be here, while I do not see anything more than a scratch to you, he is a healer and having him handy is a safety precaution.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Well if he's the healer and I'm taking the damage, does that mean you're gonna DPS?" He asks, looking to Sam. Hey just because he grew up in rural Texas doesn't mean he's never played video games, "But nah, this should be fine. I've been kinda curious about it myself.."

Elixir has posed:
"Yeah, that's about right. But I don't wear robes. Let's get that straight," Josh says, putting his hands in his pockets.

"So, let's get this party started! What's the scenario, Sam? Or is it a surprise?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well with just normal tests today, not planning anything fancy. " He will pull out a tablet, and type on it and a large chair will appear, and says "We know Colt is hand gun bullet proof but does chip. Was thinking first thing we would do is have him see how much pressure he could take on a finger until it hurts, or breaks the skin, if he is comfortable with that. I figure this will let you know what to avoid, and also if your ever needing a shot or medical attention we know what is needed to help you."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Sounds good." Colt replies, "Uh. I mean as far as I know I can't really get any shots or anything..Though I'm pretty sure I'm up to date so I shouldn't get sick." He says, "Though if I needed new one, I dunno.." He moves over to the chair, "So you want me to sit in it or what?"

Elixir has posed:
Josh shrugs with a bit of smile when Colt mentions he should not get sick. He stands nearby watching curiously. These tests are always interesting, and the variety of mutations always astounds him.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is in the danger room with Colt and Josh, and nods "Please have a seat." He will taps tome buttons on the tablet, and what looks alot like a drill press arm will swing out of the chair, "Lay your hand down flat, and we will start with a finger. It will press down on it harder and harder tell us when it starts to hurt, and if it gets to painfull." He brings up a camera view that will show a close up of the point of pressure so he and Josh can monitor closely for is any breaking or shattering starts.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Colt sits down, and puts his hand out flat on the chair, holding it as still as he can and watching that drill start to decend down towards his hand, "Boy if my old shop teacher could see me now he'd probably be saying 'I told you this would happen one day you idiot.'"

Elixir has posed:
Josh chuckles. "If he only knew...."

Josh stays close enough to Colt that he can touch him if need be, and watches the monitor.

"You've got a pretty cool power. It's badass. Like Sam," Josh says only a hint wistfully.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie keeps the pressusre steady slowly increasing and says "I will admit flying is nice, but being able to turn makes it much better. I am just glad I di not have to replace all the dents i put in here

Colt Cassidy has posed:
As the pressure continues to go, eventually the stone skin does start to crack. Colt makes a bit of a face, but he lets it go regardless because it doesn't actually hurt yet. He actually tilts his head a bit to try to get a better view at it, "I can feel the pressure but it doesn't hurt.."

Elixir has posed:
Josh looks a little concerned when the cracks start. He turns his attention from watching the monitor to watching Colt's face for signs of real pain.

"Just let us know if it changes," Josh says.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over and says "We may need to check a few other things see if you have a reduced sensations versus other feelings, heat cold, or even touch would be good to know.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"That's a good idea too, Sam." Colt says, before he feels the drill push a bit deeper, "Okay yeah, felt that." He says, "More than just pressure. Like a stinging sensation.."

Elixir has posed:
Josh looks to Sam for him to back off so he can deal with it. If Sam backs the drill out, then he puts a hand on Colt's arm. There is a slight golden glow and a feeling of warmth spreads down Colt's arm to his hand. The pain melts away and the injury knits together and disappears. If he does not back off the drill, Josh waits until there is an opportune moment.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie does just as ask, letting the one with the more medical training judge this one. He will read off how many pounds of pressure it was and give colt a rough idea on what he can resist damage wise

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Okay." Colt rubs his hand a bit after Josh is kind enugh to give him that healing touch, "Wow. I mean...I know that chips and dents tend to heal on their own...But that was a lot faster." He looks over towards Sam to see the reading on the drill, and whistles a bit. Or at least tries to. It sounds more like a growl.

Elixir has posed:
"Don't mention it," he says with a grin and steps back. He glances at the results as well. "Yeah... I'm staying behind you on missions. I won't even need my uniform for protection."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and says "Ok, well we have that base line ready for the more fun one?" He will type away again, and what looks like a giant anvil will lower from the ceiling with a digital read out on the side, saying 00 right now

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"A giant anvil?" Colt asks, looking a bit surprised. But he supposes Sam's not much older than him so...Cartoon classics are not unheard of, "Okay. So I guess you want me to lift it until it gets too heavy?"

Elixir has posed:
Josh grins and makes an unknowing face at Colt. "Just hope he's not dropping it on you!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head and says "Yup, start it at 500lbs and we will work on getting it heavy tell me when you don't think you can handle it again." He will tell the big man, waiting for him to get under it. " He will make a bugs buny voice "What a marooon." Over to Josh.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Colt moves over and gets in position, putting his hands up and grabbing the base of the anvil, making sure he has a really good grip on it and planting his feet.

Elixir has posed:
Josh laughs. "Nerd," he teases Sam light-heartedly. But he watches the big guy carefully as he starts the lift test with just the smallest shake of his head. To be able to max at 500 lbs would be a dream...

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will start going up a 100 poulds at a time, and when he gets to 1k "Half a ton , ok, ready to try a ton?" He looks over to Josh and says "How many songs rock stars written about you?

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Colt gives a nod once Sam asks if he wants to move up to a ton, "Lets do it." He says, once again ensuring his stance is good. He doesn't seem to be struggling at all even at a half ton

Elixir has posed:
Josh crosses his arms and just shakes his head.

"That's sick," he says with a half-grin.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smiles and once he gets up to one ton he will call it out, and then start adding 500lbs at a time 1.5... 2 tons." He will call out as they get to the weight.

Elixir has posed:
Josh crosses his arms and just shakes his head.

"That's sick," he says with a half-grin. "That's heavy hitter range."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
When the system cranks up to 3.5, Colt has to shift his stance a little bit in order to keep it held, it looks like he's starting to struggle. By the time it gets up to 4 tons, he looks like he'll have to let go, "I don't think I can go much further than this.." He says to Sam, looking to be shaking a bit

Elixir has posed:
"Four tons!" Josh notes seeing the lights hit the mark. "Daaamn. What did Colossus hit again?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and will pause it, and suddenly it ways nothing "Ok, not bad for the first time, not bad at all.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
As soon as the anvil vanishes, Colt leans over and puts his hands on his knees, "Damn. That'z crazy. I've never actually lifted that much but...I wonder if I keep at it will I be able to lift more, you think?"

Elixir has posed:
"Like working out? Or do your powers adapt?" Josh asks curiously.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "We can find out will start you on a work out program if you want can't hurt. Bobby got stronger, but not sure if it is power or just getting older or what"

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Probably a little of both?" Colt offers, "But uh, I dunno. I don't really know enough about my powers yet...But I'll figure it out. That's why I'm here right?"

Elixir has posed:
Josh nods in agreement. "Yep, best way to find out."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "If you want to check the temp sensitivity Josh and I should probably head up to the control room.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Good idea. Wouldn't want you guys to get cooked or frozen.." Colt says, as he looks at the two of them.

Elixir has posed:
"You know, in other circumstances, they'd call this torture," he chuckles as he heads to the control room with Sam. "You're a a secret sadist, aren't you. It's okay, you can tell!" he jokes.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie chuckles, and says "Hey you know how many things were shot at me while Ah was blasting? Besides normally make Doug do all the torturing." Once they are in the booth "Ok, gonna start with a cold blast ready?

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Considering Colt took one of those frost blasts from Storm when she was freezing the Sentinels, he knew he could withstand quite a bit of cold. So he stood towards the middle of the Danger Room to let Sam and Josh do their thing, "Ready when you are!"

Elixir has posed:
Josh chuckles and shakes his head. "So, what do you think. He gonna make your team? Get a codename? Heard he did really well at the protest. Kept his head, even if he didn't listen perfectly."

Cypher has posed:
At this moment, this is when Emma Frost appears out of thin air, dressed in her Hellfire Club furred cloak, thigh-high boots and white corset.

"God damn it who do you have to have assassinated to get a decent *gin martini* in this *hellhole*!" The White Queen says, in a tone a LOT like Mallory Archer.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is in the control rom with Josh, as Colt is in the room itself. He will start a blast of cold at 40 degrees and dropping 5 degrees every little bit "He looks like the could be the heavy hitter for them. "Ah am trying to get a full team together to run them like we were to help them form a family group." He will blink as Emma appears and starts looking over the readouts "What the hell."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
Colt braces against the cold blast, getting ready for the impact. Cold doesn't hurt, really. At least not at that temp. But eventually ice will start to form on him once things get low enough, and it'll begin to slow him down, especially as joints freeze. He seems to be not DYING From any of it though so that's good.

Elixir has posed:
Josh leans forward to see better as the temperature drops. "Man, that's inhum.... Damn! Why didn't I get her in any of my sessions?!"

Cypher has posed:
She doesn't seem to notice the cold.
    A frozen pond appears, and then a hologram of sixteen year-old Sam, ice-fishing with a string hanging off of one big toe.

"Lordy it shore is cold out here, ha-yuck!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and will look around "Ok, where is he?" He will start scanning the room looking for something that looks out of place. He knows who is doing this he is pretty sure "Ok let me know how cold it feels to you as it gets colder, and ignore the distractions.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Hey Sam!" Colt calls out from within the cold, "I think somebody might be messing with your controls!" He seems to be frozen in place now, however. So the temp has probably reached the max he can fight back against.

Elixir has posed:
Josh laughs. "I dunno, I liked Frost better Sam, bring her back!" he teases. He starts watching the tenperature and Colt's expressions more carefully though.

Cypher has posed:
There's nothing out of place IN the room. But somebody IS accessing the Danger Room computer remotely. Quite a trick, considering it runs on an alien computer code. There's maybe three people in the X-Men who could do it. Doing it remotely's even harder.

Professor X and Magneto appear next, skating figure 8s on the frozen pond.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will cut the cold so Colt can start to thaw, and even heats the room up some to help "That gentleman will be Douglas Ramsey's doing, he is our resident hacker, and will be showing you the things you should not use the danger room for today it seems.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"I should have figured." Colt replies, shaking the ice from himself as the tempuature begins to rise, "Hit me with whatever you got. As long as it's not the entire sun, I don't think I can tank that.." Colt muses, watching the holographic display being put on .

Elixir has posed:
"He's pretty hardcore. His cells could have frozen if you went much colder," Josh muses. He smirks a bit sadly at the sight of the Professor ice skating. "You know, i bet he could do that again..."

Cypher has posed:
...The ground under Colt begins to shake, and then the ground underneath him starts to rise into a hill.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 's brow raises and says "Ok, I am not sure, what Doug is up to know." He starts typing looking through the files to see if he can figure out what the other young man is running. He hmms and will try to run one of Doug's own back track programs to see if his friend remembered to make himself invisible.

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Hey Doug, I don't know if I can survive a volcano, dude." Colt says, as he feels the ground shake and start to rise up under him, "That's all melted rock down in there, after all.." He does sound a bit nervous, even though Sam swore he couldn't get hurt.

Elixir has posed:
"This might not be a great time to be really screwing around," says the X-Man. "Doug, knock it off. Joke's over."

Cypher has posed:
The hill stops with a rumble, before it opens into a volcano.

Instead, it blossoms into white winter crocuses that make a smiley face. The door to the Danger Room opens with a hiss, and Doug is standing there, holding his phone. "The volcano's my showstopper, though. Magma comes out of it twirling flaming batons--"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will throw a hand towel at Doug that is folkded up there so should be clean "See what happens when Ah run this thing, Ah get some smart alek hacking my controls." He teases a bit and says "I think we have enough date you can join us up here Colt."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Sounds good." Colt says, as he heads for the control room. He glances at Doug for a second, "Maybe you can show me once I'm safely up in the control room, huh?" He offers a grin as he heads up

Elixir has posed:
"Flaming... Did you design this with Deadpool?" Josh jokes. "I still think the first part was the best."

Cypher has posed:
Doug gives a quirky grin and puts that towel on his head. "I've been running around all day and I needed a laugh. Also, if Amara ever found out about it, I don't know if she'd love it or get me by the ear."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "More likely set ya pants on fire." he says, and looks over to Colt. "But this shows ya somewhat what can be done with the room. He will type something and kid avengers will appear standing on a new york city street, in the room"

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Seems like you guys can do pretty much anything. Which is awesome. I assume this place is pretty off limits without a senior member or staffer or something, of course. Already got deterntion once, don't wanna get it again.."

Cypher has posed:
"Really the computer interface isn't hard to use, the adaptive controls will hold your hand all the way for developing most scenarios, but I like to really get in and play with it and see what the capabilities are." Doug looks to Colt, and says, "It can do a lot of things, but the important thing to remember is that it's not real. It's why the X-Men have rules about how it's used, rules that can be bent but are pretty strenuously enforced." Then he adds, "The safety controls protect people from getting injured so they're pretty liberal with its use, but until you're seasoned, find a Danger Room Buddy."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "Got a few more tests we will want to do but Ah think you had a pretty good showing tonight. He will tell Doug, how well Colt did.

Cypher has posed:
Doug looks up to Colt, and then grins. "You thinking of putting him in the ol' bee suit? I'm thinking maybe the Coyote Kid, too..." He rubs the back of his neck. "We need to update the uniforms, though."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"There are uniforms?" Colt asks, looking to Doug, "I mean when that Sentinel attacked I know the teachers had costumes, but they weren't really uniforms.." He hrms, "Though uh, Miss Munroe did call me Stoneclaw, I kinda liked that as a nickname."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and will type again on the console, and you will see the early new mutants in the yellow and black, fighting the kid avengers "Were we really that young?"

Cypher has posed:
Doug quirks his mouth. "Sometimes I'm surprised when I see how much all of you have changed." He reaches up to lightly tug on Sam's hair. "Like, who knew your hair'd go all floppy when you grow it out?"

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"I think I'd be glad to join you guys, if you'll have me. I wanna help out however I can. That's why I ended up doing what I did with that Sentinel the other day."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, a bit and says "Sounds like a plan, and we will start some training sessions as a group soon." He looks to Doug, and says "thinking I should do the crew cut again?

Cypher has posed:
Doug tilts his head at Sam, and says, "Well, I mean, it would just remind everyone that I am Captain Good Hair" He says, running his fingers through his own coif, before he says, "I just marvel sometimes, at how all of you grew up and it feels like I didn't. I'm working on it though." Then he looks to Colt. "So you wanna be a New Mutant, huh? Well, there's some rules. One, you have to stick up for your friends, no matter what boneheaded thing they do. Two, sneak out, stay up late, get woke up in the middle of the night when crazy shit happens. Three, frustrate your teachers and mentors ENDLESSLY. ...I forget what four is, I think I was asleep for it because I was up all night that night."

Colt Cassidy has posed:
"Is Rule 4 there are no rules?" Colt asks, "But don't worry I can totally do those things, that won't be a problem at all." He chuckles a little bit, "I'm glad you guys'll have me. I'll be looking forward to the group trainings."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to Doug, and says "You do remember we are the teachers and mentors now right?" He reminds his friend. He looks over to Colt, and says "The big thing, love them, hate them fight with them, get in trouble with one another, my main thing comes down to we are family."
