Trouble in Midtown

Synopsis:	Power Girl, Quicksilver, and Beast take on the Juggernaut. Pietro exceeds his speed, Beast annoys Juggernaut, and Power Girl gets her hits in.

Quicksilver has posed:
It was going to be a quiet day in New York, but there's always a bloody supervillain trying to make his name known. Either that, or just wants to destroy stuff. It seems the unstoppable Juggernaut himself, Cain Marko, just ploughed through a bank, carrying the entire vault on his shoulder as he got moving, running through cars and even some people.

...and that lovely coffee shop.

It seems as though no one would try to stop him! Until a blue blur ZOOMS right in front of him, apparently leaving something in the way to cause Marko to slip and stumble, before angrily looking around to see who did it. Standing a few feet in front of him, was Quicksilver! The Avenger stared him down in his full white and blue costume, compliments of Janet van Dyne for the new costume. "Hey Big guy. You mind returning that bank vault? I don't want to run circles around you again, slowpoke." which only serves to make Juggernaut mad.

"Right right, no talking!" and Quicksilver zooms a few feet away from the Juggernaut when the large man tries to smash him. But will Quicksilver have to fight this monster all by himself?! What other heroes will come and save the day?

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy has had a lot of work to do, but something happened this afternoon that put him in a really good mood, so he's whistling as he walks to a coffee shop. Ordering himself an iced mocha, he takes it, and starts to drink when. PLOW! He's still drinking as he bakcs up, reflexively getting is arms on people to get them out of the way of danger. "Not again... Not today."

Power Girl has posed:
After a week of failing at being 'normal' and a oreo-accompanied discussion with J'onn aboard the Watchtower about how 'normal' wasn't much of a thing anyway, Karen Starr had been basking in the enjoyment of being a Kryptonian under the warmth of the yellow sun people probably didn't think about. What could compare to the wonder and enjoyment of weaving through the solar system and through the atmosphere of the planet itself. Even 'PG' had to admit; it was just...cool.

But sure enough, the explosions of bulk through steel and concrete eventually reached her ears. That was no car crash. Looks like a job for Power Girl!

The sound of rushing air and a sonic boom announces her presence before the blonde woman in the recognizable white uniform touches down on the street. It didn't exactly take a genius to figure out which way the badguy went this time. "Little brazen big guy, don't you think?"

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro seems to ZOOM at least three people away when Juggernaut looks at Power Girl. "I'm the most brazen there is, and I'll squash you like a bug!" and he brings his fists down at Power Girl, intending to smash her with his great strength!

Meantime, Pietro brings the people over by Hank, giving Beast a smile. "Hey big blue, long time no see. We'll have to catch up later."

He winks, and zooms off again in a blue and white blur.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy is happy to lead the group. Giving Pietro a salute, as he bellows "Move this way, orderly, Power Girl is on the case. Move this way, move onto the street. Nohting to see here." And once the herd momentum is moving OUT of danger, he gulps his coffee, and comes on out to see what Power Girl is doing.

Power Girl has posed:
Henry's announcement had her blinking, not for the words themselves, but entirely for the appearance of the mutant. It was rather eye-catching, wasn't it? Oh crap, giant fist coming her way! With the other two working their way through the clearing of civillians, Karen's arms come up to 'catch' the fist that has enough force behind it to cause her feet to skid along the ground a little. Magic was fueling that strength? Great.

Shoving the hand aside there's a sudden burst of glowing red heat-vision that bursts from her eyes and slams into the Juggernaut's armored chest before she rushes forwards and brings her own fist slamming into the heated metal.

"Squish -this-!"

Lot to see here Beast!

Though Power Girl is able to repel the Unstoppable Force's attack and blaze into him with her heat vision, she might be surprised that her punch only makes him skid back a little bit until he falls down to a knee, and while Cain was an absolute savage, he was like a smart predator. He reaches up to try and grab Power Girl with his colossal hand. "I'm going to crush you until there ain't nothin' left to be crushed!" and he tries to throw her across the street into a building.

Meanwhile, Pietro is coming in hot at Mach 5, and he punches Juggernaut right in the face, the force of the momentum causing him to step back a few and he's looking around, wondering what just happened. Gives his allies an opening! Even as he comes up for another pass, this time punching Marko in the lower back, causing him to stumble back forward. Somebody stronger than Pietro, please hit him!

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy comes outside, to find himself pretty strongly overmatched. "Oh, is this what it feels like to be a regular person watching this stuff?" he laughs, glancing again to make sure the crowds are backing off, before loostening his tie, unbuttoning his jacket, and approaching. Well, he's not going to take on someone 4 times his weight(!), at least not directly. So he starts by finding the fire escape on the building the coffee ship is in, and starts climbing to get above Marco. If either of the heroes sees him, he'll wink.

Power Girl has posed:
If Power Girl sees the blue acrobatic accademic, she doesn't give a sign of it. Instead, she's busy taking to the air to avoid the grasping hand with a little noise of effort. There's another burst of heat vision, but it seems the ruby offers enough protection to Cain that it's not doing much. There's a noise of the sound barrier being broken, the shockwave through the air and then Pietro's extremely accelerated punch breaks the space between the heroine and villain. A window created!

Rather than punching him across the street, this time Power Girl dives hard downwards with both her feet and attempts to slam her flying form into the staggering villain's chest.

Quicksilver has posed:
Looks like Juggernaut is currently on the ropes! He's shaking his head after Pietro was running the show on him so to speak, and then there's Power Girl slamming down into him, effectively burying him into a crater that was once a public street. Cain looks like he's woozy, and his helmet has fallen off!

If Henry wants to take his chance, this is probably the best one he'll get! In the meantime, Pietro is ZOOMing, and after he comes to a stop, he sees that Wink from Henry, and he just smirks. "Crazy blue." he chuckles.

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy figures he's probably going to take a hit here. But... it's worth one shot. He gets up onto the third floor, and climbs over onto a balconly. ABove MArco, He stretches, limbers up, and make a leap down, trying to land on top of the giant villain. Grabbing onto the head and holding on tight before he inevitably gets flung off. Hopefully the others can use this distraction!

Power Girl has posed:
Even against someone like Juggernaut, there was only so much strength that a Kryptonian could use. It wasn't just about the person she was hitting, enough force would cause shockwaves that could hurt Hank at this range, or even some of the structures around them. How then, does one subdue the Juggernaut? Well, with his helmet off it was certainly a bit easier. As the man's arms inevitably come up to reach for the blinding blue furball of the beast, Karen's fist comes down, aiming for the man's throat with a heavy strike. He still needed to breathe, right?

     Hopefully, that'd take the wind out of his sails a bit.

Quicksilver has posed:
"Wha! Hey! You Blue bitch! get off my head!" Juggernaut tries in vain to get Beast off of his chrome dome, But any effort on the part of the Juggernaut is met with failure, especially when Power Girl nails him right in the throat, and he's coughing.

A Lot.

Its with this that Suddenly Pietro ZOOMS back on through, lighting up the man with punches all over his face when he invariably stumbles, the Beast still on his head, and Pietro just making his face look like a literal speed bag. Eventually though, Pietro gets smacked out of the way in a blind strike from Juggernaut, and he lands on a car. "Ow..." he groans, but he'll be find.

Meantime, Juggernaut is practically suffocating with how much he's coughing, and it has definitely taken the wind out of his sails.

Its almost like a majestic voice in the sky is saying:

'FINISH HIM'

Beast has posed:
Henry McCoy clings on for dear life (well not literally but...) as the man he just jumped onto gets attacked. For good measure, he gives Juggernaught a good two-handed whack on the head, then he jumps off. "Geronomo!" Expecting those in the air have attacks coming he doesn't want to be that cose to.

Power Girl has posed:
He was tired, he was weaker and now Henry was out of the way. Dropping down to the ground, Power Girl's hands come to clench as fists as she inhales a deep breath of air before she exhales the hyper-chilled blast back towards the weakened juggernaut. Hopefully, that 'freeze breath' would hold him. At least until he recovered, and hopefully people that could contain him would be on the scene by then.

Quicksilver has posed:
With Hank out of the way, and the last hit from him as a good farewell gift, Power Girl finishes off the Juggernaut by nailing him with her ice breath! Soon enough, the specialized task force the cops use to handle threats like this finally arrive, and they apprehend Cain Marko to finish this chaotic fight for good.

Pietro then speeds on up next to Power Girl, looking at Hank and giving Beast a two-finger wave, then to PG. "Thanks for showin' up. Would've been hard dealing with him by myself." He smiles at her lightly, then looks to Hank. "and you too Beasty!" he chuckles.

Power Girl has posed:
The next breath that Power Girl exhales? It's one of relief, but the woman is left to look towards the carnage left in the wake of the heist and the battle. Alright, some of it was her fault, like the hole in the street...but most of it was Juggernaut. Slowly, she steps towards the vault now, carefully stepping between shrapnel and the emergency responders before she glances over her shoulder. "Thanks for your help too," she offers before bending down and taking hold of the vault herself.

Considerably smaller in frame, it takes a bit of balance and gesturing to lift the thing above her head. "I suppose I should put this back?"

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro watches as Beast goes off to make sure civilians are alright and to assist with medical efforts. He was a doctor after all! But, in the meantime, Pietro watches as Power Girl strong arms the vault right over her head like it weighs nothing. Jesus Christ.

"Suppose you should. But, I'd like to see you again soon. That was some good work. Very rarely have I seen Juggs get taken out that fast." given, Power Girl had help, but still.

"Like Dinner?" Yes, Pietro will try, but then he's grinning. "Go do what you gotta do. I'll check and make sure there arn't any other Brotherhood people hiding in the shadows. These guys travel in packs, trust me."

Power Girl has posed:
A little laugh comes from the woman before she shrugs her shoulders that still are occupied by the task of supporting the vault. "All bulk and no brains doesn't help much if someone can out muscle you I guess," she grins and gently lifts off the ground. It was a little smoother to 'fly' the vault back into place after all. "Clear a path!" she calls as she begins to move, but his not-so-subtle invitation earns another little chuckle from the woman. "I -think- that might draw a crowd or two."

His comment about the Brotherhood earns a nod as she begins to move away. She couldn't detect any, but what would it hurt to look. "Alright. If you get into trouble just...yell. I'll come save you."

With that, and a wink, she sets off to try and help with the repairs a little by putting the heaviest load back. Someone else could count it later.

Quicksilver has posed:
Pietro seems to laugh a little bit as Power Girl suggests that it will draw plenty of attention. "Not if we wear normal clothes. Not that what you wear is bad.." he winks at her, and when she informs him to yell if he needs her and she'll come save him, he's grinning devilishly at her.

Then she's gone!

"Heh, what a woman." and then Pietro is gone in a blur of Silver and blue.
