Protect Xaviers: Planning Continues

Synopsis:	Buffy takes on the task of getting elder vampire blood for Wanda's spell. Scott, Hisako and Lorna join in the discussion.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda will have let those who are helping with the spell know she's at the school working on some preparations. While she needs those various components for it, there is a lot of other work that has to go on to prepare for the magic that will have to protect many acres of land.

She's currently at one of the tables, with a large map of the school grounds spread out, and is making notations around the perimeter in a carefully written hand.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers had heard about the protection spell and although she had no concrete details, she was determined to help. Afterall she had family and friends here, and it seemed like the right thing to do with all the anti mutant violence going on outside the school.

She omes to the library, looking for Wanda, someone she hasn't met personally but has been directed to through someone else. Noting the tables with the large map, she heads towards Wanda, peering at her thoughtfully. "Hello, are you Wanda?"

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki comes into the library after the assembly and lunch and stuffs. Fixing her bangs to make them perfect, she brings a stack of books in and stops when she sees what's going on. Coming up to Wanda to see what's going on, but not touching anything.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
The woman over at the table hears the voice behind her and turns. Auburn hair, high cheekbones made higher by the smile she gives. A very well-known face, Wanda Maximoff of the Avengers. Ah, /that/ Wanda.

She smiles wider and walks over towards Buffy and Hisako. "Yes, I am. I don't think I've had the chance to meet either of you, have I?" she asks. "I apologize if we did and I forgot. There's so many students and faculty and I only know one or two dozen I think," she says, her words having an Eastern European accent, but subtle enough that it makes her words softer rather than harsher.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers peers at Wanda, and realizes immediately who she is. "Ahh, you're *that* Wanda." she grins and steps forward, offering a hand. "Nice to meet you in person. My name is Buffy Summers." she may just recognize her last name which she shares with certain other faculty of the school. "I had heard something about your wanting to cast a protection spell? I'm not much of a magic caster myself, but I'd really like to do anything I can to help protect this school."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna approached the library after one of the students had caught her attention in the hallway, chattering on about 'the Avenger' in the library. She held a tea cup in her hand, sipping at it slowly as the library door swung open under her magnetic direction. She approached, arching a thin green eyebrow upward as she stopped at the edge of the table covered in books and various other things.

Lorna wore a pair of jeans, high heels, and a loose fitting blouse of some kind that she'd rolled up to her elbows. Her hair tumbling down around her face in a mess of green waves. "Hey Wanda, a student told me that you were here." She glanced idly at the others in the library, but it was clear that most of her attention was focused on her half sister.

Cyclops has posed:
Scott strides into the room with a tablet in one hand and coffee in the other. He takes a seat without jnterrupting the conversation.

"Hello Wanda," he greets the Avenger. He has met her before, mostly in passing, and had made sure to be at the meeting given how important her project was. He says hello to the others as well, giving his cousin a bit of a smile.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda's expression shows some recognition. "Oh, I think you were mentioned to me," Wanda says, emphasizing with a bouncing pointing finger as she goes back over to the table. She digs in the papers on it and pulls one out. "I heard a rumor you might be a person to speak to about one of the components needed for the protection spell. Some particularly potent vampiric vitae. I've yet to locate a suitable subject to extract it from either. I need to find someone well-versed in vampires still to suggest where one might be found," Wanda says, looking down at the component list.

She looks up and smiles as Lorna comes in. "Lorna, are you doing ok? I heard about the bus," she says, moving to give Lorna a sisterly hug of greeting if allowed, with a little extra to show she was concerned.

Scott Summers gets a warm smile from Wanda. "Hello Scott," she says, and then pauses a moment. "I think I saw you in the papers. So nice to be the one on the speaking end of that phrase," she says with a warm chuckle.

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki smiles to those who she's run into. Taking it in quietly. "Hello everyone. I am Hisako. It is a pleasure to meet you Wanda." her accent slight, but very crisp. "A protection spell for the school sounds very useful after we were attacked on the bus."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers arches a brow, perking up when Vampires are mentionned. "..Vampires, huh. That's quite the spell. I suppose their blood could be powerful.." she nods, "They mostly pop up near hellmouths..Bludhaven is the best place to find them but there are other places..I came across a few in Gotham, I guess they're attracted to crime."

She frowns, scratching her head as she ponders, "But I guess you need particularly potent vampire..Vitae?" Buffy's not exactly sure of that word but the essence is probably close. "So, a very special, strong vampire huh..I'll see what I can do..You just need some of it's blood then?"

When others enter, Buffy glances at them in turn thoughtfully, although only Scott is recognized and she smiles and nods to her cousin. "Hello Scott. How's it going?" she nods to Lorna and Hisako as well. "Nice to meet you, I'm Buffy." Mention of a bus attack causes her to frown..She'd read something about it in the papers. "Geez, that sucks..Definitely, I want to help to protect this special school from future attacks like that."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna smiled as she returned the embrace Wanda offered her, giving her half sister a shrug as she pulled back. "I took a knock to the head, that's all. Josh patched me up and I was fine. Go figure that magnetism is directly linked to my brain functioning without injuries. No wonder Dad wears a helmet." She drawled, but there was a forced lightness to her words as she glanced back around and politely smiled and nodded at the others that greeted her.

"Nice to meet you." She offered, and stepped back to glance more at the books loaded onto the table curiously.

"Can't say I know anything about Vampires."

Cyclops has posed:
Scott frowns and colours slightly at Wanda's comment. He tries to hide it by taking a sip from his coffee. He puts on a polite smile by the time the cup comes down, then settles back to wait. He pointedly avoids looking in Lorna's direction.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda Maximoff gives Hisako a warm smile of greeting. "Very nice to meet you, Hisako," Wanda tells her. "I'm glad the situation at the bus wasn't worse. I understand there were serious injuries but they were healed successfully." There's a subtle look of anxiety from Wanda at the mention of the healing, though it would be easy enough to miss for anyone not attuned to such things.

Wanda nods to Buffy. "Vitae is their blood. And yes, I need some from a particularly potent vampire. One that is ancient compared even to others of their kind." She glances to Scott. "I don't mean to send your students and staff into harm's way," Wanda says. "Certainly not something that should be undertaken alone, but you know your people better than I if you want to decide who might best accomplish it," she says, looking back to Buffy.

Wanda nods and looks to Lorna's head. "He mentioned it. Said you still did a number on the attacker even with it," Wanda says approvingly.

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki bows her head to Buffy. "Good to meet you as well," she adds. Shifting the books in her hands, she listens to all of this magic talk. "Vampires. I didn't know we had to worry about vampires. The smell of death...."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna cast a curious glance at Scott as he ducked his head and settled down to sit. She sipped at her tea, arching an eyebrow over the rim of her mug as she flipped through a few of the book's covers to see what each were. She glanced back to Wanda briefly, as she sat down by the table. "Josh really pushed himself hard to heal people there. He deserves a break." She murmured, and tilted her head back toward her half sister.

"Wanda, what else do you need?"

Cyclops has posed:
Scott makes some notes on his tablet while Wanda describes that she needs vampire blood. He watches Buffy's reaction to the request to gauge the difficulty of what is being asked for. Then when Lorna asks what Wanda needs, he turns his attention to the Avenger.

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda tells Hisako, "They exist, but hopefully we don't have to worry about them most of the time. Though, it sounds like some of the school are familiar with them," Wanda says, glancing to Buffy and smiling to her.

Wanda looks back to her sister. "There's a list of different things here if you want to help out with one of them. This necroplasm will be difficult to get. It's extremely corrosive so getting a sample is treacherous enough, despite the fact the one that produces it would be trying to hit someone with it. Wonder Woman is willing to lead people to a location with Stymphalian birds," she says.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy Summers nods to Wanda, frowning softly. "A truly ancient and powerful vampire..Like the Master, huh." she laughs a bit, shaking her head. "I suppose there might be one as powerful and as ancient as him out there." she glances at Hisako, "No worries, it's kinda my job to keep people safe from vampires." she nods to Wanda. "Don't worry, leave it to me. I'll get your vampire blood as soon as I can find a suitable subject.."

Armor has posed:
Hisako Ichiki smiles to each of them "If you need assistance fighting vampires attacking the school, I will be happy to help." She bows to them, then to Scott and Lorna. "Good afternoon Mr. Summers. Miss Dane."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna hmm'ed under her breath as she sipped at her tea, looking over the content list of things that Wanda needed for her protection spell. She shrugged once, "Where ever you need me to be, I'll head that way, Wanda. Though people who can fly might be at an advantage when dealing with birds. Well, if they're not flightless?" She tilted her head as she glanced to Wanda in question.

"I don't know jack all about any of these things. I feel like Illyana should be here to get some thoughts on some of these.." She murmured as she looked to Scott in question.

"What do you think?"

Cyclops has posed:
Scott nods in agreement with Lorna. "This is not my area of expertise. But we will task out anyone you need to make this happen and get these ingredients. I can't tell you how much it means to everyone here that you're doing this," Scott says. "We will go down the list and put together teams who have the right skills."

Scarlet Witch has posed:
Wanda Maximoff has a tablet on the tablet. She grabs it and manipulates it while she talks. "Sounds like you /are/ the right person for the job then," Wanda tells Buffy with a smile. She manipulates the tablet and shows Lorna some grainy footage of a dark figure. Chains lash out across the alley, appearing to hit one person, and wrap around another and throw them. "That's possibly our source of necroplasm," Wanda says.

She pulls up footage of the Stymphalian Bird attack on Central Park recently. It shows Wonder Woman riding on the back of one giant, metallic feathered bird with her lasso wrapped around its throat, while Black Panther is jumping out of a Wakandan Jet and shredding another's wings as he freefalls past it without a parachute.

Wanda's phone chimes and she checks it. "Pardon me, I need to go take this," she says, moving off to speak on the phone.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna flashed Wanda small smile, sipping at her tea. "So chains or metal feathered birds. Well, sounds like I can actually be useful on a mission for this." She arched a brow as she glanced back to Scott. "Because I was beginning to think most of this would be over my head. Magic is not my strong point." She drawled and as Wanda's phone chimed she shrugged, nodding to her half sister as she excused herself.

"Well, I'm gonna go get something to eat from the kitchens. Maybe bake some cookies if I'm feeling up for it."

Cyclops has posed:
"Have there been any missions where you weren't useful?" Scott asks curiously. It is not flattery, he really cannot think of one.

Scott checks the time and grimaces. He scrawls his contact information down for Wanda and includes some access codes for a shared mission planning board he set up so she could share information freely.

He nods to her and makes his way out after Lorna.
