Date of Scene: 16 June 2017
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: 360, Indigo, Viridian, 171, 352

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
It was something that might have been overlooked in the distant future when many ships visit Earth, a small cargo ship slipping in and out of Earth. It would not have been seen by modern Earth systems, the cloaking is sufficient for visible light and Radar. The advanced systems of the Legion Cruiser, built by Braniac 5 and Invisible Kid, are far more advanced. The ship managed to get in and out even so, but not unobserved. Sussa Paka is on the trail. The ship slipped into the Hyperspace bypass and escaped, but she has followed. The ship emerges in the Vega system, a dangerous place to visit in this time.

Indigo has posed:
Indigo, Viridian, and Phyla-Vell are deep-space dancing. It's a habit Indigo introduced Viridian to some time after they met, taking one another out into the vacuum and doing zero-G waltzes. Phyla-Vell wanted to join, and Indigo, ever agreeable, was happy to have the Quasar along. A few hundred meters from the hull of the Milano as it idles in space, they dance. The gynoid's thruster fins are extended from her shoulder blades and her calves, providing the herself and Viridian (Indigo holds to her closely) momentum enough to actually dance in space. It's graceless and barely controlled, but it's also fun to do in no gravity.

Viridian has posed:
Viridian laughs wildly as she spins and twirls with Indigo in the weightlessness of space. She's able to move here and so she does, using her legs to provide momentum as well as the rest of her slender frame. She clings to the gynoid without hesitation, face slightly flushed as her hair shifts from blue to a vivid violet, visible through the faceplate of her spacesuit. Face field, whatever.
Nearby a long, oblong shaped pink thing is watching, wiggling his tail and flippers. Yes, a full-sized dolphin. In space. Pink is a perfectly reasonable colour for a dolphin.
"Phyla, dance with us!" Viri chirps cheerfully.

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Phyla was just floating out in the nothingness under her own power when she gets called to by Viridian and smiles her teeth before responding over the communicator, "I don't know how, but watch out." She says and comes sailing in and dips below the two and grabs both their ankles on her way past, sending both into a moderate spin/flip. The white haired woman starts to spin herself tucking her arms in like a figure skater (Not that she knows about those) and giggles into the vacuum.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Mandora doesn't worry about things like 'jurisdiction'. Well actually she does, but she's gotten the go-ahead from her superiors to pursue; this ship might have been smuggling to or from Earth, and that's something the Nova Corps is not prepared to allow. Now, even the Electrocharger can't survive a trip through a wormhole, so she's had to bring a larger ship through, one she's been cleared to use for this mission. Though her trusty steed is aboard.

Once she gets in range of the craft, however, she broadcasts on an open channel (one that the Milano or other ships in the area might be able to pick up), "Unidentified ship, this is Nova Corpsman First class Mandora. You are suspected of smuggling from an off-limits world. Stop your ship and prepare to be boarded."

She hasn't noticed the Milano yet, though. Her attention is taken up by the ship that she's planning to board.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
On board the Legion Cruiser, Sussa intercepts the call from the Nova Corpsman and says to the computer, "Define please, Nova Corps." The computer responds, "Records indicate they were a froup of intergalactic police who went extinct at about this time or en the near future. Primary base was a world called Xander located in one of the lesser galaxies that orbit the Andromeda Galaxy." Ok, that has some degree of sense, a rival Corps to the Green Lanterns. Well, hopefully she understands Interlac, as she is out of range of the telepathic ear-plug, "Corpsman Mandora, this is Spider-Girl of the Legion of Superheroes, I have followed this ship from Earth to attempt to stop them and will offer assistance as required."

Indigo has posed:
Indigo turns obligingly into the flip, watching the stars fly by and sparing a moment of her processing power to be grateful she has no stomach to turn. Hell, she's having a great time. She releases Viridian's hip but not her hand, letting the half-human, half-Xandarian girl spin out full-length on Indigo's arm, then draw her to twirl back into Indigo; then another release, precisely calculated to send Viridian twirling into Phyla-Vell.
Or at least she would have gone straight there, if not for the subspace shockwave of the wormhole opening distorting space enough to send Viridian off-course.

Viridian has posed:
The diminutive girl in Indigo's arms can't stop smiling. She dances to and fro, letting the gynoid be the lead as she swirls around through space. She might be human but apparently she too can avoid the sickness that comes iwth whirling through space in favour of breathless excitement.
Viridian twirls easily through space when she's released, giggling wildly. Her hair shifts from green to a vibrant pink as she collides into the Kree, arms tucked against her sides with her hands folded at her navel. She's no doubt expecting to be caught.
The girl actually pauses in mid-spin, her expression becoming one of surprise. Without even being on the correct radio band- ostensibly- she calls out, "We have Nova Corps in the air. And... The Legion? I'm tracing the signal..."
Hopefully Phyla-Vell catches her. Viri isn't paying attention any longer.

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
The call comes over the radio just in the nick of time. To warn Phyla without much time to react. Just as she's about to catch Viridian, when a large ship come by and with a THUNK has a new passenger.

Being dragged through space by the ship, Phyla is quickly leaving the area of the Milano and the two dancers.

Mandora (352) has posed:
As a matter of fact, Mandora doesn't... actually understand the transmission. But she does have an uplink to the Worldmind, so she utilizes it. Looks like she's going to have to download that translation app! The network will compensate somehow. So it does take a moment before Mandora responds, but when she does, it's over the frequency of Spider-Girl's hail.

"Your assistance is appreciated. But keep yourself out of danger." Though she does take a few moments to look up 'Legion of Superheroes' in the Worldmind database. Sounds like they've got training too, at least she hopes.

It's about then that the ship's sensors pick up several objects. Which, after a few moments of button-pressing and she realizes they're people. And at least one looks like they're randomly hurtling into space. Muttering a few words under her breath that are impolite in mixed company, she turns out of the pilot's area of the ship and heads for the cargo bay her Electrocharger is parked in.

In a few moments, the telltale whine of small space engines will herald a motorcycle-riding, be-helmeted blonde woman in a uniform flying up behind Viridian in an effort to catch her.

Indigo has posed:
Viridian's velocity is quite slow. It was a dance, after all, not a torpedo launching. Indigo experiences a moment of panic all the same, an eternity of a nanosecond or so before she detects assistance coming in...and faster than Indigo herself could get there. Whew. Relief and digital calm flood her systems (all of which Viridian can keep track of) before she heads to join her girlfriend. As she approaches Viri and Mandora, she smiles cheerfully and waves, but doesn't speak. Obviously. That doesn't really work in space.

Viridian has posed:
Viridian ends up on the back of a space motorcycle behind a tall blonde police officer. The girl loops her arms tightly around the woman's waist and presses in close.
"Thank you," Victoria calls breathlessly to Mandora on the same open channel she seems to be using, her voice somehow effusive while still being mildly concerned. In reality, the dolphin was watching her, prepared to manage a rescue if none of the flyers were able to manage. But Viri seems pleased for the assist anyway.
"Lot of ships out this way! What's going on?" Viri asks, ignoring the part where she's been intercepting all the transmissions. "Lucky for me. Thank you for the rescue." Mandora gets a squeeze and a dimpleds mile.
It's also turning the girl's hair violet. Homewrecker.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Sussa becomes aware that someone is on the OUTSIDE of the ship she is following, and that the ship is on a course headed towards a large space station. She says, "Run up parallel to the cargo ship and I will bridge over." She has her trans-suit and her flight belt (recently repaired), once the ships are running in sync she can cross between them easily. Sussa Exits the control room and heads for the airlock. She flies to the other ship and says to the other girl and comments, "You do not look like standard equipment on this model of ship, hopefully you are not going to try to stop me from halting this smuggling operation." Sussa can understand perfectly at this range, thanks to her telepathic earplug, though the only language she knows is Interlac...a common language of the Milky Way Galaxy's many races used for interspecies communication.

The computer tells Mandora, "LEGION: Legalized Extra-Governmental Independant Operative Network. A group established by Vril Dox first used to bring down the computer tyrants of Colu, then used to end the rule of the Drug Lords of Kairn. The primary team tends to condsist of one notably skilled and powerful individual of each of the many of the prominant species of the Milky Way."

Phyla-Vell (171) has posed:
Moving a finger up to her ear piece, "I think they're gonna want me off here as soon as possible, cause I'm about to throw this thing into the nearest star." Phyla says in response to Sussa as she appears to have recovered and is 'standing' on the front of the ship.

"Now how do I get off without getting cooked in the propulsion systems?"

Mandora (352) has posed:
'Breathlessly' about covers it; there's no air in space! Thankfully Mandora's helmet can pick up short-range communications too. She nods to Viridian's thanks. "Are you all right?" she asks. As for their being ships? "There are. At least one of them has no business being here." Fortunately she doesn't mind the squeeze or the smile. Though she does have a ship to stop.

Mandora's uplink gives her information. So it seems like she can trust this group for this, at least. And also that there's probably drugs on this ship, if this Legion's involvement is any indication. She uplinks her helmet's computer to the control systems of the Nova Corps ship. And on the open frequency, she broadcasts again to the likely smuggling ship, "This is Nova Corpsman First Class Mandora. Unknown ship, you are ordered to stop your engines. I will not warn you again."

Indigo has posed:
Indigo is ignored by her girlfriend and the police. Figures. Wryly, she turns around and flies off in the other direction, giving them time to do...whatever they're doing. She may as well head to the Milano and make sure no one steals it.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Sussa states, "I would not throw the ship into the sun, there may be prisoners or other innocents on board...I could not tell as the inside is sensor shielded. Let us get inside and find out what is going on here." She is apparently standing surrounded in nothing but her costume and a bubble of air, her Transsuit is nearly invisible. It is also built to accomadate her power, as she stretches out her hair to manipulate the controls of the airlock and unseal it.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Mandora returns the rescued girl to her people, and then turns her attention to the ship. Well, it's ignoring her, neither stopping nor responding to hails. So it's time to up the ante a little bit. She catches sight of Sussa, and takes a quick scan for identity, before returning to the Nova Corps ship. She's got a nose to light up. On the way, though, she tries to analyze the scan, to see if she can tell who the girl is.

And sure enough, once she's in the ship's control area again, she aims a blast from the ship's weapons at the unknown ship. Not to hit it, no. Just a zap across the craft's hull, to warn them.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
The computer will note that Sussa appears to be a Terran, though with some genetic abnormalities. Sussa enters the ship and heads towards the engine compartment. She is not sure what species this ship belongs to, as it is not from her native time. Hopefully she can figure out how to disengage the drive.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Well that doesn't seem to have done much either. So Mandora aims a second blast at the smuggling ship, this time aiming at the ship itself. She's looking to disable though, not to destroy. This means she has to doa short scan of the ship, so she'll know where to aim. Where's she aiming? For wherever the propulsion system is located.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
The ship appears to be fairly advanced for the era, and built for a humanoid species. The odds are fair it is either Coluan or Kree in design, in these psarts and time. Coluans use Interlac on their control panels. She studies the layout of the compartment...yep, interlac. Older Interlac, but she can figure out how to read it.

The ship starts to jink and dosge, making targetting difficult, the pilot evidently anticipasted the first shot being a warning shot. The pilot apparently knoes that maneuvering will slow their acceleration and so waited until they expected a serious attack.

Mandora (352) has posed:
"Blast it," Mandora mutters. Sometimes her orders suck; if she'd been able to just fire, that would have been easier. But orders are orders. "Two can play at that game," she decides. Then she starts firing smart. Several shots are fired on one side of the ship, and then as the ship dodges aside, she fires another shot, this one directly in the path the ship has to dodge into!

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Fortunately Sussa knows a Coluan personally and knows how they design things. She grabs the primary and the backup power relaus with her hair and rips them free...fortunately her hair is non conductive. She brings the two cables together, causing a uge arc of electricity and the ship shuts down.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Mandora's lining up another shot when suddenly... the ship shuts down. She blinks behind her helmet. "...Well, that was unexpected." Still a good thing, though. Now that the ship's stopped, she can get back to the Electrocharger and try to board! It's a fast little craft, though it wouldn't make a super-deep space trip unaided.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Given the ship is Coluan, there is a reasonable chance the pilot is also. Coluans are extremely logical, he will know someone sabotagued his engines, and that there is insufficient time for repairs before boarding. He will want to grab part of his cargo and escape. The question is, will he already have part of the cargo placed in an escape pod...It would be the way to bet. She heads towards the front of the ship, the escape pod should be centrally located between the living areas and the control room.

Mandora (352) has posed:
It's likely that Mandora will find the same way in that Sussa did. If not, there will be some way to get in -- hacking an airlock or something. The uniform Mandora wears protects her from the vacuum of space, so she'll be fine. Once she's in, Mandora begins looking for th pilot, figuring exactly that -- that the pilot is going to want to escape quickly. And just in case, she send a signal to the ship to power up tractor beams and fire on anything ejecting from the ship with enough force to be an escape pod.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Sussa is nearing the probably site of the escape pod when she sees the woman who she had scanned approaching. She greets her, "Greetings Nova Corpsman Mandora." The other responds, "Greetings, Spider Girl, have you located the crew yet." It takes a moment to catch it, the person is speaking in Interlac, it is not a translation. Sussa barely dodges as the imposter fires at her.

In the meantime, a similar scene is taking place on the other side of the Escape Pod...the ship may be Coluan but the crew are Durlans and they are using their shape-shifting to try to overcome the boarders.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Seeing herself on the ship, Mandora frowns. Then she can't trust her own eyes. So away goes the laser pistol, and out comes a much smaller gun, this one connected to a large cannister at her wrist. There's a moment or two to adjust something, and then she starts firing on anything that moves. What comes out of the gun is a sticky, quickly-expanding foam. And by 'anything that moves', that may count Sussa too, since Mandora can't trust that it's not a shapeshifter. Typical police thinking -- detain everyone, sort it out when flak's not flying.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Sussa is using her hair and her flight belt to maneuver...but is having trouble dodging the engery blasts from the Durlan's gun. Well time for some combat maneuvers of the offensive sort, Grab the gun with her hair and wrap the forehead tight with another strand...odds are the antenna are hidden there and hurting them will stop a Durlan from Shapeshifting.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Seeing where Sussa is directing her attacks -- she assumes it's the real Sussa, anyway -- Mandora starts to aim the Catalyzer at the antennae, firing smaller bursts of containment foam. hopefully that will cure any of them from shapeshifting to get out of their bindings!

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Sussa and Mandora soon immobilize the Durlans, though Sussa is worried, "Durlans can look like anything, there might be more around and we would not know." She also thinks it is odd to find Durlans piloting a ship, rather than shape-shifting into one (or parts of one). She allows , with reluctance, Mandora to bind her forehead and demonstrates that she keeps her powers, which a Durlan could only emulate by shape shifting the hair to different forms.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Once Sussa is determined to be the REAL Sussa, Mandora will release her from the foam gladly. And the observation gets a nod. "That's true. My ship should have scanners. And we should be able to do a visual scan ourselves." 'Visual scan', of course, meaning to look through the ship. She needs to see the cargo anyway.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
No other Durlans are found by a visual check, and soon they enter the cargo hold. It is entirely filled with crates...of Chocolate.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Behind her helmet, Mandora raises an eyebrow. "...Not exactly what I expected. But it IS considered contraband on at least three planets in this sector. Alien foodstuffs are disallowed in their trade agreement before chemical testing and approval. And I have a feeling this was stolen."

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Sussa says, "They probably just bought it legally. Though where the got the money is a question. That space station they wre headed for...whatever specie runs it...I wonder what effect this has on them. Many humans find Chocolate pleasant.

Mandora (352) has posed:
Mandora nods. "Chocolate has over three-hundred naturally-occuring chemicals that can alter the mood for the better. Particularly phenylethlyamine," she agrees. "Those chemicals could be toxic to other species." Pause. "The ship's logs should have more information. Maybe they'll tell us where they were taking this." She has no intention of trying to question the crew.

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
"Toxic...or addictive," agrees Sussa. Drugs are, even in the future, a long lasting problem. Something that is a mild euphoric for a human could be a powerful drug to something else.

Mandora (352) has posed:
"That too," Mandora agrees. She will head for the computer to try to discern some information. Not much gain there. "Nothing. Only that the shipment was supposed to go to Citadel Station." Pause, and she raises her hand to her helmet to send a communication to her superiors, a request for an arrest squad to come out and take these guys to jail.

After this, Mandora looks to Sussa. "Thank you. Your assistance is very much appreciated. I've just sent a message to the Nova Corps to bring out a transport for the crew. I would very much appreciate it if you could stay to make a statement. Or if not, let me take one."

Sussa Paka (360) has posed:
Sussa sighs, some things are pretty much the same in any time, "I will answer the questions for you, though some I will not be able to answer." She hass mind block in place that will make certains questions unanswerable.
