Profile

Despite doing very poorly in school Victor Stone was known through his high-school career as one of the greatest football players in the circuit, with nowhere to go but up. He was drafted right into the XFL, after dropping out of high school, and it looked like his career was set to take him right to the hall of fame with a talent that was completely unrivaled even in the NFL proper.

Now following his brutal and almost fatal accident he has become Cyborg, man-machine on a mission to protect the ones he loves by any means necessary. Also he really likes videogames, pizza, and meat based products, a lot.

Description

This muscular teen is incredibly well built for his age with chiseled features abound. Half of his face, the right side, holds a youthful exuberance, completely natural, with a well trimmed goatee, and a deep brown eye filled with life. The other half of his face is a pitch black metal polished to a mirror shine to reflect the world around, with a blood red glowing eye, which when closely examined looks much more like a glowing camera lens then a human eye. Where his right ear should be is instead dull red glowing light.

Bulky clothing covers over most of his body hiding his muscular shape from view. A thick varsity jacket is draped over his pitch black shirt. The only other sign something may be out of the ordinary is a dull red glow from the center of his chest penetrating even the thick layers of clothing.

History

  • Elinore, and Silas Stone two top STAR scientists marry, and with top of the line genetic manipulation 'design' their perfect son, Victor. Due to the processes used he is considered to be STAR LABS property from his conception, and for most of his early life is kept in a lab under observation.

*The two use Victor to test various intelligence enhancing programs, which have an insurmountable effect on his intellect. They stop at nothing in their quest to make a perfect scientist out of him.

*Resenting his parents for their treatment Victor abandons his studies at school, and obsesses over things like football, and video-games which Elinore, and Silas both see as a 'waste of time and energy'. Often he sneaks out of the lab to play football, or just plays it inside the lab wrecking equipment in the process.

*Growing more rebellious victor falls in with the 'wrong crowd' getting into trouble with the law, and often coming home hurt. The only thing that keeps him out of prison is his status as S.T.A.R. Labs property.

*Victor spends his high-school years as MVP of his highschool team, the Ford Titans. During this time he drinks, sleeps around and lives his life for the moment without a care in the world.

*Through hard work, and a determination to rebel against his parents wishes instead of going through college Victor try's out for the NFL, and though he's denied as per regulations since he's not in his third year of college he is picked up for a different project. The newly reformed Xtreme Football League as a member of the Phoenix Roadrunners during their quarter one draft.

*Victor has a spectacular first season, and proves his chops as a sports superstar. He makes the first season a show for the record books breaking records set in the NFL due to his extremely high level play, and thrives in the incredibly rules light environment of the XFL. He puts on show after show for the crowds, and lands a large number of high profile sponsorship deals in the process putting his face on everything from cereal boxes to car commercials, and a number of toy lines. With everything in between. Over the season he becomes wealthier then he could have imagined.

*Victor takes the first flight home at the end of the season, wanting to see his parents in person wanting to finally show that he was able to make something of himself without using what they were trying to give him. He arrives just in time to be severely mutilated by one of his parents experiments in dimensional travel that winds up killing his mother, and leaving him mutilated seemingly completely beyond repair.

*Panicked and wracked with guilt Silas uses everything at his disposal just to not lose his son and wife in the same day. He resorts to technological theft and deals with several criminal organizations in order to get the technology needed to save his sons life, spending every penny of his families wealth in the process, including every penny of Victors own personal wealth taken right out of his bank accounts, while spending himself into bankruptcy.

*When Victor finally comes to, he is so mortified by what has been done to him, and the thought that he'll never be able to play football again that he breaks out of the lab, running away without giving his father the chance to explain anything. He discards his old name, taking on the new name of Cyborg, and starts his new life living out the back of a stolen prototype S.T.A.R. labs car that he modifies, known as the T-Car.

Personality

Often over the top in his love for all things videogame and sport related, Victor is a generally happy dude who's passionate about what he likes. Though intelligent he often resents it, and his parents that gave him said inhuman intellect, feeling like to them he was more of an experiment then a son. While kind and friendly he often refuses to talk about his life before the incident, refusing to even answer to his real name.

Abilities

ABSORPTION
Due to the way his systems are designed Cyborg can absorb electrical attacks in order to recharge his battery. This would mean that something like a lightning bolt would provide a great deal of power to his systems, and most energy based attacks are fairly weak against him. The only risk they pose is potentially overloading his batteries.

BOOM TUBES
Cyborg has the ability to rip open boom-tubes to and from most any point towards anywhere on earth. Though he can technically strain to travel off planet the risk is great that he could accidentally wind up stuck on Apokalips, so he tends not to use it unless needed.

COMPUTER INTERFACE
Cyborg can jack into almost any computerized system literally implanting his consciousness into the device allowing him to rapidly and effectively brute force his way through some of the toughest computer systems on the market. While he is still an excellent traditional hacker the direct interface allows him to perpetrate hacks faster and more efficiently then some of the best hackers on the planet, and makes him a wiz at coding new programs and firewalls.

HOLOGRAM PROJECTOR
Cyborgs eye and chest can be used as holographic projectors to show simple holograms at a distance, as well as project entire movies, or his memories for others to see. These holograms react when interacted with allowing someone to scroll through a map he's showing or shift a schematic.

INCINERATOR
While he doesn't need to eat Cyborg still can, and he can eat a hell of a lot. He can still taste food, in fact his sense of taste has been hyper augmented allowing him to detect the finest of flavors. When he does eat food is sent to an incinerator inside of where his GI tract would have originally gone. This incinerator turns food into energy which is stored in his battery and the waste is evacuated the same way it is from a human.

INHUMAN PHYSIOLOGY
On top of not needing to eat or sleep Cyborg also doesn't need to breathe. He has the ability to survive in the vacuum of space or in the depths of the ocean almost indefinitely if need be. His robotic systems provide him all the recycled oxygen he could need.

JUMP JETS
The jets in Cyborgs legs allow him to leap large expanses with relative ease. They require a small charging time between uses but can be used to leap entire buildings in a moments notice or propel himself through space. The further he jumps the more it drains his battery.

NANOBIONIC REGENERATION
A network of nanobots circulating throughout Cyborg's systems allow his advanced network of circuitry to repair itself when damaged quickly and efficiently. When repair systems are activated it causes a hefty drain on his batteries but makes short work of most damages he can sustain.

SHAPE-CHANGE
Cyborg can reshape sections of his body into various weapons and equipment. These range from a finger laser attachment, telescopic eyepiece, sonic disruptor, stun guns, grappling hooks, to winches and metallic tentacles, making him a living multi-tool always carrying his own personal tool chest wherever he goes.

SONIC CANNON
One of the many devices Cyborgs arm can turn into is a high powered infrasonic weapon. On low settings it can cause uneasiness or people with weak wills to leave an area, on higher settings it can cause people to feel sick to their stomachs. On concentrated settings it can form a powerful beam of pure sound energy strong enough to burrow through thick steel beams and fire the length of a football field. Firing it on high concentration gives off a high pitched whine that means it's far from a silent weapon.

SUPERHUMAN DURABILITY
Thanks to a frame made from Promethium, and a bone structure made from molybdenum-steel cyborg is all but indestructible when it comes to most natural forms of damage that could come against him.

SUPERHUMAN INTELLECT
Victor's own genetically enhanced intellect far exceeded that of the normal human, even before his merger with machine to become Cyborg. He has a photographic memory, and a quick processing center of a brain able to make complex calculations almost instantly. He remembers every color, every texture of an environment or object, and can bring it back into the forefront. The computerization of his faculties has enhanced his already superhuman intellect ten fold making him one of the smartest men on the planet, even if he refuses to use it. Its ability to literally record and store information he witnesses even further enhances his already photographic memory and allows him to make millions of advanced mathematical calculations in a fraction of what would be possible with a human brain.

SUPERHUMAN SENSORY ARRAY
Thanks to the extensive cybernetic enhancements made to Cyborgs nervous system he's been granted a fully enhanced range of his 5 senses:

Enhanced Hearing: Cyborg is able to hear sounds up to 3 miles away, and apply various computer filters to his hearing to select specific noise frequencies from a wide array of potential frequencies. He can even use this ability to single out an individual voice out of a crowd.

Enhanced Vision: Optic, thermal and motion sensors are just the tip of the iceberg. Cyborg can see in every visible spectrum of light, and his enhancements even allow him to literally see the wavelengths used for wireless communications. This allows him the ability to literally see telephone calls in process and transmit the information on display into a recordable format for later use.

Tracking/Homing Systems: Cyborgs sense of smell has been highly augmented allowing him the ability to track down scents that are even days old with ease. He also has a homing beacon built into his person that he can activate at any point in time.

Physiological/Medical Scanners: Cyborg is able to rapidly scan and diagnose most any medical condition with ease due to his vast library of medical information at his disposal. This includes the ability to run x-rays to detect broken bones, and the ability to literally see the toxicity content of a person's blood.

SUPERHUMAN SPEED
Victor can in short burst achieve speeds of as much as 120 miles per hour on foot, by overclocking his servo's. Operating at sustained speeds over this thresh-hold will cause damage to his systems that the nanomachines will have to repair.

SUPERHUMAN STAMINA
As long as Cyborg has a charge he can keep going theoretically indefinitely, he doesn't require sleep in the traditional sense nor does he require food to operate. He can keep going as long as needed to get the job done. (As long as his battery doesn't die on him.)

SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH
In prime condition, on a full battery charge Cyborg can lift and throw 1000 metric tons of weight. He can also throw a punch with the same force. Of course operating at such a high capacity causes a large strain on his batteries.

Skills

FOOTBALL
Cyborg is a champion on the arena of football, one of, if not the greatest player in the sport. Despite being rejected by the NFL he was able to find the chance of a lifetime in the burgeoning XFL, in spite of the odds stacked against him, breaking through as an all star player.

In his single season spent playing professionally he gave one knock down drag out performance after the next, completely blowing the competition out of the water. He was a beast on the field an unstoppable monster of a player.

Though he can't ever play again professionally for obvious reasons the skills he learned trained to be the best of the best have never left him. He can plow through even the toughest, most rock solid, defensive line with the best of them, throw an accurate pass across an entire football field with that perfect spin, and even do a killer end zone dance when all's said and done.

And that was all before any real augmentations were made to him.

HOTRODDING
Cyborg knows how cars work, he knows what makes them tick, and he sure as hell knows how to make them purr. He can take even the worst jalopy and turn it into a dream car come true. Had things turned out differently perhaps he could have opened his own autobody shop. The fact he can hotwire a car in under 30 seconds wouldn't have hurt his autobody business any either.

RACING
Cyborg is a demon behind the wheel of a car, able to redline most any car he's put in the drivers seat of. His computerized brain knows how to take the turns, how to bank and shift at just the right time. It's an unfair advantage that makes him killer on the track.

T-CAR
Cyborg's baby, the car he's currently living out of. This hotrod extraordinaire was originally an experimental driver less car being worked on by S.T.A.R. labs. It's got the capability of running off of traditional fuel, diesel, biofuel, solar energy, or pure electricity, making it a true every car. After extensive modifications made to it by Cyborg himself this bright blue and white beauty of a car this car can reliably hit 275 miles per hour on straight roads in perfect conditions. This car is Cyborg's pride and joy, it's like his own son, and he'd do anything he could to protect it.

Weaknesses

BATTERY LIFE
While in optimal conditions Cyborg could go for about two months without a charge his life style rarely leaves him in optimal conditions. Everything he does beyond normal human capabilities takes a bit of his charge away, and with how much he uses his abilities most the time he finds himself needing at least a 4 hour charge every night. As an example firing his main weapon full force will not only cause minor damage to his systems due to the strain of firing it, but also use up about fifteen percent of his battery life.

Draining his charge completely won't kill him, but it will render him completely inoperable. When without a charge Cyborg has no concept of the passage of time, no understanding of the world around him. He can't function at all without a charge, but when given a charge after an extended period of time without one for him it's as if the time between charge running out and charge returning didn't happen at all.

INHUMAN
Despite his face looking visibly human Cyborg is much more machine then man. There's very little of him that can still be called human, the right half of his face despite looking like his old one is actually a Promethium compound made to look like his original face. All that's left of his original self is his heart, his nervous system, and his brain which itself has been partially digitized and heavily. That he can even be called a Cyborg instead of a robot is but a simple technicality.

LESS THAN STEALTHY
Anyone with significantly advanced hearing can hear Cyborg coming from a mile away. While his servos and mechanics are quiet they're far from silent, and it makes him something of an easy target for those with superhuman hearing.

OBVIOUS OUTSIDER
There's no easy way to hide what Cyborg is, even at a glance it's almost impossible to miss his cybernetic enhancements. The bright glowing eye and black metal skin give it away clear as day. To top it off he's hardly a NICE looking cyborg. He LOOKS intimidating, he LOOKS evil. He glows bright red for Pete's sake. It's not hard for people to get completely the wrong impression about him and assume right off the bat that he's up to no good.

He tries his best to hide what he is, would rather people just forget all together, but there's nothing that can be done to stop people from realizing his condition.
