Profile

Born and raised in the good ole US of A, Rick Flag is commonly referred to in military circles as one of the greatest soldiers the United States has ever created. Not blessed with any super powers, he is simply the product of training, dedication, and execution. Protective of his unit and loyal to a fault, he was recruited by Amanda Waller personally to be her eyes and ears on the ground in the Argus Project and Suicide Squad.

Description:

The man before you could be called by some an imposing figure. Nature is full of predators, and it is an innate survival instinct in many creatures to recognize them so that you can react accordingly. Everything about Rick Flag screams the fact that he is one of the hunters. His gaze is one that moves, smoothly, across any scene or target in view with that calculating, steady investigation that comes from years of dedicated training and practice on the field of battle. At just under 6'0", his blonde hair is usually a bit longer than regulation would allow, and his face almost always has some sort of layer of scruff that isn't exactly up to uniform code. His broad shoulders are equipped for carrying a pack or bracing his weaponry. His voice has a natural southern twang to it that could make him seem lazy or slow, though his physique would show that he's likely not lazy.

His attire can be incredibly varied. On a casual day, he'll usually be spotted in a pair of jeans, a hat that has some sort of fishing logo or something patriotic on it, and a t-shirt or flannel. It's safe to say that given how much time he spends in uniform, his personal wardrobe is limited and dedicated to his hobbies. His uniform, well that is something entirely different, and currently denotes his rank when he's wearing it as Captain.

History

History:

Rick Flag is an elite soldier and government agent working in Task Force X. He was the leader of the first Suicide Squad, and Amanda Waller enlisted him when she started a new Suicide Squad using super-villains. Flag is the team's field commander, and he accompanies them on all covert ops missions. His father Richard Montgomery Flag was a hero in World War II, and his son with co-worker Karin Grace is Rick Flag III. (Source: http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Richard_Flag,_Jr._(New_Earth))

Personality

Personality:

Flag is a soldier - that means he knows things. That means it's hard for him to trust people. He has an easy going nature when outside of missions, not wanting to keep that intensity burning too long. However, on missions he is task focused - the objective is all. His knowledge of things he knows that others shouldn't usually hampers his ability to form relationships as he knows too much to be able to trust if people actually are interested in him or his secrets.

Abilities

Skills

Deception:
Rick is good at lying. He's been trained to withstand torture and interrogation techniques so he knows how to bluff, lie, and fast-talk his way out of things.

Vehicles:
While not a pilot, if it's on land or on water he can probably drive it. Tanks, vehicles, boats. Submarines and aircraft are to be added later but not yet in his wheelhouse.

Weapons:

Rick Flag is a weapons expert. While not Deadshot, there is little that can be shot, thrown, or thrusted at a person that he isn't able to use. Not the pelvic sorcery thrusting, more the stabby stabby kind.

Resources

Military:
Let's not forget that in addition to Waller, and in addition to his own stuff, he is also a military man. This includes access to information, intel, military equipment, and other perks befitting his rank.

Own Funds:
He has his own funds. A house down in the south, a few vehicles...not much debt. So when it comes to buying what he wants he does alright and doesn't go outside his means.

Suicide Squad:

Then he has THEIR funds and access to their toys, which is a whole different ballgame.

Weaknesses

Only Human:
He has no super strength, super speed, super resilient anything. He's just a guy good at what he does.

People:

He gets attached. People matter - if he forms a bond it's going to be something that could be used against him.
