Little Costume Shop 6
Date of Scene:	27 March 2020
Location:	Little Costume Shop, Flatbush
Synopsis:	Kitty sleepwalks into the Little Costume Shop. Luckily, she has friends looking out for her.

Red has posed:
The Little Costume Shop is down the road from M-town, not too far. The door showing the open sign, Alice is in the workshop using an airbrush to put some paint layers onto a costume armor for an Ork-LARPer, the hissing of the nozle interrupted by the compressor at times...

Shadowcat has posed:
How many folks show up in a shop sleepwalking? Or, sleep phasing as the case is. Kitty absolutely is. Fortunately she's weearing a nightgown but the snoring is kind of a giveaway. How'd she even get here? She's sleepwalking too and snoring. Poor, pooor Kitty...

All she wanted was to lay down and get some sleep. Instead? She's here. No idea where 'here' is....though cracking an eye open means she's aware of where she is.

"Um....hello" Kitty starts, voice groggy with sleep, stifling a yawn automatically

Red has posed:
Alice shrieks up as suddenly Kitty walks in through the wall, trying to calm down a couple of seconds. "Eh... hello?" she asks, brushing through her red hair as he reaches over with her left to try to hook the airbrush onto its hanger, then turn off the compressor. Only then she takes off the respirator.

"You go out like that regularily?" she asks as she points to the door which reads 'employees only'. "wait, don't I know you? You were at that birthday party of that one with the white streak in the hair..."

Nightingale has posed:
     To see teachers wandering the halls at night over at Xavier's was nothing unusual. But mostly, it was to check up on students, and make sure they were in bed as good little students should be. Sleepwalking, however, was a bit more unusual, and to a healer-in-training, possible reason for concern. Dressing quickly in jeans, boots, and a warm, wine-colored turtleneck, Shannon hustles on up to Miss Munroe's attic and let her know what was going on--hopefully so that the pair might tail Kitty and make sure she would remain safe....

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe was chasing after Kitty once she found out that Kitty was phase-sleepwalking again. Shannon was the one who saw her and informed her. She sighs as she flies after, making haste. She then lands by the building when she sees Kitty (fortunately wearing a nightgown this time) phase in. She sighs softly as she stands in front of the door to the shop. She lifts her arm and snaps her fingers, creating a RATHER loud thunderclap that arcs from the sky to her pointed finger and back - it would sound like there was a lightning strike literally outside the door - the goal is to shock Kitty to wakefulness.

Shadowcat has posed:
The thunderclap gets Kitty to full on blood curdling /scream/ as she leaps in the air and swears profusely. Great. Somebody startled the Kit Kat...and it's hilarious. She starts phasing out of shock as she's affecting the electrical things. Great. She's already killed a few traffic signals that are both red and green, a few hot dog carts decided to grill and blow up, and oh yeah that was just on her way here. Ever seen a cop car turn into a 70s disco party?

Kity lands on her feet and looks spooked. "I didn't know there was a storm!" she pants breathlesssly, getting her breath back she looks to Alice. "Sorry for intruding like this, but I'd like to buy something to make up for it all" she offers meekly.

Red has posed:
"There wasn't any storm till like a couple moments ago... I mean, I've been at this all evening..." Alice notes, glancing over to a clock. "...or rather night." She turns to peek out through the employees only door to the front of the shop, trying to pierce into the night outside. "You were... uh... cat, right? Or something like that. But don't sweat it. I don't think you got your wallet with you though, and costumes can be kinda pricy. By the way, do you know a white haired woman of color and a blonde pale one?"

Nightingale has posed:
     Said blonde, pale girl also looked as if she'd be right at home in the costume shop, with those great big, feathery wings of hers--one of which she extends out towards Alice in some semblance of a wave. "Hello there, miss!" Shannon smiles winningly at her, and dips her head. "If this is all your work in this shop, color me impressed!" She glances between Storm and Kitty, letting the statuesque beauty take point on this one.

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles faintly as she walks in the store, shaking some sparks off of her hand. "Not a storm. Just me, Ms. Pryde. Calm yourself. You were sleepwalking phased out again." She looks around. "I am Ororo Munroe. This is Shannon Lance," she notes gracefully, gesturing to Shannon. "I was simply making sure my friend here didn't stray too far." She then glances to Alice and extends her hand for her to shake. "Sorry for any disruption. What was your name again?"

Red has posed:
Alice chuckles as she points to her left chest, a sticker on the blouse reading 'Hello, my name is...' and then a handwritten Alice below. "Alice, and I did some of the costumes... not the sewing, but the armor and props and such." she explains, brushing through her hair. "Let me guess, you live in M-town?" she asks, roughly pointing towards 'up the street'.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn peeks into the store a few minutes later, relieved to see it's open. "Heeeey, this is awesome! I remember this place!" she giggles as she steps all the way in and starts wandering around, looking at this and that, "Ooooooh this is gonna be awesome! The girls will love it!"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty looks to Storm and blinks a few times. "I was....sleepwalking again? Well" she begins then looks around the others and finally looks to Alice. "I'm so sorry for this" she admits. Then Pixie distracts her.

"I..." she begins looking to the others. Seeing them there relieves Kitty. She's brought them all here, without trying.

Looking over the shop again Kitty looks over them all once more before she looks to Alice. "Hello my name is Alice, is this your shop?" she ass in that dopey 'duh?' way when she's waking up.

Nightingale has posed:
     Smiling warmly at Alice, Shannon sketches a mildly theatrical bow, keeping her wings tucked in neatly behind her. "Pleasure to meet you, miss Alice. Wish I'd have known about this place before, we could talk turkey the whole day!" Kitty is given a searching look, with the younger girl breathing a sigh of relief. Good. Kitty was safe. That... was just strange. So very strange.

     Megan gets a wing-wave and a smile. "Hey... whatcha doing out here so late? You okay?"

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe smiles faintly at Kitty. "If I had more time I would have brought some coffee. Just take a seat. Sorry for waking you up so abruptly. But there's two traffic lights and a police cruiser that were malfunctioning in your wake and it was best to ensure that your sleepwalk ended sooner rather than later." She puts her hand on Kitty's shoulder. "You alright now?"

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty does sit, looking a litle flushed. "Two traffic lights and a police car? So I didn't do anything too bad?" she asks very quietly. "Okay, coffee sounds good. Is there any?" she asks blinking owlishly at Alice. "I remember you, from that party" she offers. "But you weren't Hello my name is Alice then. Did you just get bored and slap a name tag on?" Kitty adds. Sleepy, loopy Kitty.

She's watching Megs out the corner of her eye, too and then Shannon's bow. Ororo gets a blink and a nod as if asking somebody to get them all coffee.

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks and rubs her eyes, "Oooh did I miss something?" she makes a face, "Hmm well I was looking for the ultimate costumes fir me and my band mates!" she grins at Alice, Hiii nice too see you again, got any fairy themed costumes?"

Nightingale has posed:
     Shannon just looks over at Megan and shakes her head very slightly. But, it did seem like she knew the shopkeeper here, so perhaps the timing of asking about costumes for the band was just... yeah. To Kitty, she smiles, and shakes her head as well. "Nothing too terrible. Nobody got hurt. But more importantly, how are -you- feeling?"

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe sighs softly as she extends her forefinger and pinky finger. They are glowing faintly. "Sorry, Kitty." She then pokes her side with those two fingers, sending a low-power jolt into her to try to shock her awake as she pulls her hand back. "We really have to find a way to keep you from this sleepwalking..." she muses softly.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty squeals, "I'm awake. I'm awake now!" she insists and protests. "I'm awake!"

She looks to Shannon and looks relieved, "Phew, good" she admits watching the winged healer, "Got any coffee?" she asks, then digs out her, very much dead, phone. She holds it out to Storm. "I need a new one" she says bluntly, and looks optimistic, she can always grab a new phone and tablet and electrical things. "Now if I could find one that's liking your brand of charging" she jokes "It'd go well for all of us, huh?"

Pixie has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks slowly, looking away from pretty costumes. "Ummm....Wow, I missed something, didn't I?" she catches something about sleep walking and peers at curiously at Kitty. "Oh...Oooh, are you okay? I mean..." and then her phone goes off and she meeps!"Oh that's right, I have an appointment! You sure you'll be ok Kitty?" but it looks like she has others to watch out for her. "Okaay, see you all later!" and she waves and hurried out..

Red has posed:
Alice somewhat belatedly answers Kitty's question. "Nope, just work here. Like, nightshifts and workshop and such. Ok, yea all can take a seat... over there." she instructs, pointing to some chairs in the workshop. "I go get some brain-defreezer for yea from the coffee machine. Just don't complain if yea don't like it black, because black's all I got. Someone used up all the suggar and cream, and I don't need that stuff anyway. Coffe needs to be either a horrible mix of foamed milk and lots of syrup or black."

Rummaging, she manages to get a cup for everybody. "So, lemme guess. All of yea are X-gene carriers, hm?"

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon smiles at Alice and nods, sitting down nearby Kitty and Storm. "Black coffee is just fine, and thank you for the kindness." Other than that, she contents herself looking about, reaching out to squeeze Kitty's hand. "You could look at it this way... at least you picked an interesting place to sleepwalk to....""

Storm has posed:
Ororo Munroe nods slowly and tosses a flipphone to Kitty. "I suspected your phone would be dead. So I borught one. Just call if you need something. I have a class starting soon." She bows as she steps out. "Maybe I'll come by later, Miss Alice. Costumes are always fun." She says that with a straight serene face. "I bear the gene. I will not speka for others." With that, she steps out and a gust of wind could be heard as Ororo takes off.

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty laughs. "Black coffee is good thank you" she nods "And yes, I do try to find interesting places, don't I?" she nods looking impressed to Shannon then pecks with fingers at the flip phone, pocketing it.

Red has posed:
"Yea, I didn't catch your name, but sure, feel free to poke in another time. Here's one of my cards, Ma'am." Alice says as she hands Ororo one of the shop's business cards. "Well, I guess you can't get more interesting than a costume shop, unless you wake up in the center of a Mafia Warehouse or something. Or on a film set."

Nightingale has posed:
Shannon chuckles softly and nods in agreement with Kitty. "Speaking for myself in answer to your question, miss Alice... yes, I do carry the X-gene." With it being quite apparent Kitty is safe, and waking up, she allows herself to look around the shop. "All the times I've been down in this area, and never once stopped in here. Heck, if I wasn't gearing up for medicine, I'd consider working in a place like this."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty is, indeed waking up. She looks amused then to Shannon, then finallly to Alice again. "So, to answer your question, yes I carry the X-gene. What of it?" she adds waiting on coffee and looks over them all again, brown eyes taking them all in.

Red has posed:
Alice shrugs as she moves to the counter, picking up a piece of EVA, which promptly starts to melt and reshape into some armor glove. "Just thought so cause I talked about X-gene carrier rieghts at that party. I take the woman tha just left too? Anyway, Alice, no Miss."

Shadowcat has posed:
"Sounds like it" Kitty sayys with a look over to Alice as she waits on coffee then nods. "Hey I pick interesting places to turn up. Give me credit" Kitty shrugs. Yeah she's awake now and eeying things in the store. She's looking at everything that's caught her eye. Which is, honestly? Most things

She waits, and waits on coffee...not that it's needed now. Thanks Ororo and shock therapy!

Red has posed:
Alice does deliver coffee a couple minutes later, the stuff hot and acidic stuff. "So, you run through walls?" she asks then, carefully eying Kitty up and down. "Sounds like neat. More useful than shaping stuff."

Shadowcat has posed:
Kitty takes her coffee and smiles. "Listen, it's been nice meeting you but I need to get running" she offers and sips her coffee. Kitty makes a face and carries on drinking it. It's not the worst she's had. True, there's worse.

She sets the empty coffee cup down and laughs. "I do phase through walls. Yes" she nods. That's how she exits the store, by going through the wall. Exit stage right. Via phasing.
