Tendril has posed:
It's well past dinner at the moment, though there are still a few students, up studying late, who are hanging out in the dining hall. Mostly for the free coffee and cola and other caffeine, or just late night brain food/junk food. Or second dinner. Which is mostly Lexi's thing, as she's claimed a table off to the side and seems to be going for the protein and carbs diet, considering she's got a neat pyramid of cheeseburgers she's stacked on a tray (no plate) and is munching down on them as she reads from a large open book that appears to be showing off various pieces of art...pottery mostly.

From the way her brow is furrowed, she's concentrating pretty hard, a tendril snaking out from her arm occasionally to snag another burger and hold it up where she can munch on it as she leans on her arms, a sixpack worth of soda cans currently stacked up on the other side of the table.

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
The sound of rapid footfalls announces him and he finally slows down once he hits the dining room, having spent the day registering and was ready to get to his favorite part of the evening: Dinner. He looks around and notices a girl and moves over where the girl is sitting and looks her over. "Is it just me or are the girls in this school really hot?" He asks curiously as he gestures to her stack of burgers. "You going to eat all that?" He asks curiously.

Tendril has posed:
The mauve girl blinks, looking up Kaydin. "...huh?" she says, looking a bit suprised. "I....uh...yeah, I kinda was..." she points out a moment later as she focuses on the newcomer. "An' I guess so? Lotsof 'em, anyway." she says in a faintly dry tone. "MIght not wanna lead off with that when meetin' a girl here though for th' first time, ya know?"

Boom-Boom has posed:
"What's that? Who's hot?" comes a voice - the voice of a blonde girl dressed in blue athletic shorts and a plain pink t-shirt. She pokes her head into the hall. "There you are, Foxy." and she heads towards Kayin and Lexi. She doesn't ask permission, she just plops herself down next to the mauve girl. "Hey, you." she says, putting a hand on the other girl's back, a fond thing. She smiles at the guy. "Hiya. I'm Tabitha, but noone calls me that. Niceta meetcha."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin shrugs. "Better then a regular hello." Kaydin says as he watches the girl He then gestures as the girl joined them. "See? Definatly glad I came to this school, the girls here are hot." He says as he nods to Tabitha. "Name's Kaydin." He says and then looks to the mauve girl, as if expecting her to introduce herself.

Tendril has posed:
Lexi hmmms, then says to Boom Boom. "Kaydin here thinks all th' girls at th' school here are super hawt, apparently." she says, leaning towards Tabitha a bit as she sits. "Kaydin, huh?" she says curiously. "I'm Lexi." She tilts her head. "Yer new here, right? Haven't seen ya around before."

Boom-Boom has posed:
Tabitha reaches over to pinch off a bit of bun from one of Lexi's burgers, a silvery charm bracelet jungles on her wrist, a single charm on it. She inhales the quick bite and looks at Kaydin. "Everyone calls me 'Boom-Boom' or somethin' like that. Lotsa reasons, really. Take your pick." She looks over Lex's shoulder. "Whatcha readin', honey?"

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
"Yeah I just arrived here from a small town near seattle. Folks decided to send me here to finish my schooling and to understand my powers a little better. No clue where I am going to live." He says as he looks around and then back to Lexi and Tabitha. He then blurs away, moving with superhuman speed and comes back with a plateful of his own burgers. He then begins to eat them. "My abilities are speed based."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi raises a silvery brow, flashing a quick grin. "No kiddin'." she says dryly, tilting her head. She doesn't object to Boomer grabbing one of her burgers, however, but doesn't try to chase Kaydin away when he seems ready to sit down at the table, though she lets out a little groan to TAbby. "Mmph...art history stuff. Miss Croft suggested it's a good way ta brush up on artifact identification n' stuff, but it's pretty rough. Lotsa stuff about knowin' just what changed over time, an' when, an' why it's important....' She siiiiighs. "I'm sorta gettin' it, but only about half th' time so far."

Boom-Boom has posed:
Luckily, Tabby didn't steal a whole burger, just a pinch of top bun. "You'll get it, I know it." she says. "You're good at that kinda junk, seein' the details in stuff." She brushes her own hair out of her eyes. "Gonna be on a test or is it more for fun?"

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
Kaydin eats his burgers ravenously, finishing three of them in a matter of moments. He stops and comes up for air to look to the two. "You are both friends or more?" He asks as he takes another bite. "Last thing I need is to step on folks' toes." He says as he watches the two girls. "So who are the teachers here?" He asks curiously as he looks between the two.

Tendril has posed:
The silver-haired girl has resumed chowing down on her own hamburger stack, another pair disappearing rapidly in a few bites each, before she raises a brow. "...if I say no, were ya gonna try to ask one or both of us out?" she says, sounding really a mix of amused and irritated. "Sorry bud. Very happily taken, yeah." she confirms, one of her tendrils curling up to brush Tabby's cheek gently. "Plenty of other fish in th' sea here though, if that's yer thing. But might wanna, like, get ta know 'em before layin' th' dating thing on 'em." she says, her golden eyes twinlking a bit as she scoops up another burger to munch on. "Um, any particular type? Cuz there's a lotta classes. There's Miss Grey, who's th' headmistress, there's Miss Croft in History, or Miss Munroe in mythology, or Dr. McCoy for...well kinda all the science stuff. Mr. Wagner for drama and stuff." She shrugs. "Didn't ya get yer schedule yet?"

Boom-Boom has posed:
Boomer reaches up to idly scratch an eyebrow. "Yeah, sorry." she says to Kaydin. "But I know the perfect girl for you. She's really rich and beautiful. Her name is Monet Saint Croix. She doesn't have a boyfriend or anything and I know she's jus' dyin' to date some new blood. I bet you two'd have a great time together. You should ask her out first chance you get... tell her Boomer said so."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
"Right. Well I intend to get to know with whoever I date, last thing I need is to be used by someone." Kaydin says as he eats. He then nods and pulls a piece of paper out of a pocket and shows them. "I should probably look to see where I will be assigned. We do get dorms here, right?" He asks as he eats more burgers

Boom-Boom has posed:
"Oh, I should also let you know that if you hear what you think is a giant tiger wandering the halls or in a room, you're not hearing things. Best not to investigate, though." Tabitha suggests. She's sitting at a table rather close to Lexi Nemo and not too far away from Kaydin.

Tendril has posed:
"Yup." Lexi confirms. "Usually with a roommate. They divide th' rooms by male an' female, but otherwise, same dorm. Though there's a girls an' a boys bath an' shower area, an' a door between the two sides. Though people go back an' forth. They just do bed checks occasionally ta make sure everyone is in th' right room they're supposed to be in." she says thoughfulyl, her arm tendril wrapping around another burger as she takes a bite bite out of it, munching as she swallows it down. "Uh, yeah. Don't mess with th' tiger. She's nice." she adds. "But still, shouldn't bug her if ya see her."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
"Alright then, do not mess with the tiger." Kaydin says as he makes that mental note and finishes the last of his burgers. "Well ladies it was nice to meet you but I need to head out." He says as he watches the girls and begins to head out, leaving as a blur of speed and rapid footfalls.

Thistlewalker has posed:
A large young man ducks under the doorframe of the dinning room.. At least it /might/ be a young man. At over seven and a half feet tall, he is almost a giant, but he has a youthfull lean-ness which sugegsts he is in his teens.

As for being a man, or human.. Well.. He wears a simple cotton shirt and hempen denim slacks, very simplistic and very normal except for their size, just like anyone else would. It's his skin, though, and his hair that is out of whack. His flesh looks like dark polished wood, and seems to be tattooed with green lines in an ivy pattern. His hair is dark green and looks like vines with leaves moxed into the thick strands.. Two larger vine like locks drape down the back of his neck.

He's a walking Tree-Boy!

He stops just inside the door, raises a brow (that may or may not be short grass rather than hair) and slowly looks around.. a bit apprehensively. Under his arm is a bunch of books and pamphlets... school introductory material.

Boom-Boom has posed:
Tabby rises to collect for herself some coffee and anything that's left in the kitchen, probably some sugary cereal and a bit of milk. She sits again next to Lexi. "Sounds like you're having a great time in Croft's class."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi grins. "Yer kiddin' right? It's LARA CROFT. Of course I'm havin' a great time in her class!" She beams. "She even gave me a set of her old archeology gear ta use, an' ta practice with! I mean..when I can find a site ta practice -at-." she adds. The mauve girl shifts, the long tendril sprouting out of her right arm curling around one of the rapidly shrinking pile of cheeseburgers in front of her, all goign to feed the furnace of a metabolism that drives. her.

Her eyes flick over to the newcomer...kinda hard to miss someone that large as the tall boy walks in. "...huh...guess they're doin' orientation for students t'day...." she murmurs to Tabby, then raises her voice a bit. "Ya lost?"

Thistlewalker has posed:
The wooden young giant stares at the few other students around the room, and shyly shifts on his large bare feet. He seems fascinated by everyone, be they completely humanlide or not as human, equally.

When the foxish girl speaks up to (presumably) him he quickly turns his head to look at her and her companion.

"Uhm, guid evenin'..." he says slowly, his voice inhumanly deep, like the creaking of trees bowing in the wind.... If trees had thick scottish brogues. "I nae b'meanin' tae intrude but I was told this is where tha dinin' room was." he says, though it should be obvious this /is/ a dinning room. He steps a few more feet into the room, his almost solid green eyes looking at EVERYTHING.. like it is the first time he has ever been anywhere like this. "This place is like a castle!"

Boom-Boom has posed:
"It IS a big house, isn't it? There are all kinds of nooks and crannies to hide in and smoke or hang out in..." Tabitha says. "Hiya. I'm tabitha, only noone calls me that. Nice to meetcha."

Tendril has posed:
Lexi rolls her eyes a bit at Boomer. "Seriously, just ta smoke in?" she says, amusedly as she reaches over to poke Tabby's side tickling gently, then turning her attention to the tall...tree. Boy. Boy who is a tree. "This is, in fact, th' dining room, too. Though...um, d'ya need some sorta special...food? Or anythin'? If ya do, ya gotta tell the kitchen staff so they can make it up special like. They don't do it unless ya got some sorta special needs though."

Boom-Boom has posed:
"I can think of better things to do in 'em, but I was tryin' not to scare our new friend." Boomer starts, then giggles as Lexi tickles her. "Hey! Watch it, girlie." and she bats at the mauve hands. "Yeah, they can probably make up pretty much anything for you, though."

Thistlewalker has posed:
Thistlewalker frowns slightly, now having walked up to their table, and looks down at lexi. "Special.. food...?" he asks, then ohs, eyes going wide. "Ack., Ah dinnae need special scran.. I mean food." he replies. "I mean, I be /likin'/ food but I nae need it. Just need sum sunlight and water.. Though isnae as fin as eatin', be admit.." he says

He then looks tO Tabitha and smiles. "Yah... It be HUGE! Only ever saw a hoose this big on th' lochs back home." he tells her. Then frowns. "Sorry, Imae bein rude. M'name is Thistlewalker.. Pleasare t'make yuir aquiantence, Miss. Tabith...a... What do I call ye if no one calls ya that?" he asks, then looks to Lexi. "And ye be?"

Tendril has posed:
"Nothin' polite." Lexi promptly says, likely drawing an elbow from Tabby. "Er, I mean, Boom Boom is good, or Boomer. I mean that's what lotsa people call her." "I'm Lexi Nemo. Nice ta meetcha." she says, offering a hand as the tendril sprouting from her forearm shifts to snag another burger. "Ooh, well...if ya like that, there's a big garden ta th' west side of th' mansion. Ya might like it there. It's pretty quiet, mostly people go there ta eat outside, or for quiet times n' stuff."

Boom-Boom has posed:
Tabitha does elbow the mauve girl. "Oooh, I'm gonna get you, babycakes." she says, laughing. "Yeah, what she said." Boomer nods. "The garden's nice, and now's the time to get out there before it gets cold and the only thing it'll be good for is a snow fort."

Thistlewalker has posed:
Thistlewalker watches as lexi's tendril reaches for the burger, intrigued. The two major vine-like tendrils of his own slowly undulate, as if they have minds of their own, and one reaches for the burger plate but Thistlewalker frowns and glares at it.. and it stops.. and droops, like it has been chastened. "Lexi and Boomer, then." he says, smiling back at the pair. The not-bad tendril reaches behind him and pulls up a chair.. It looks like it would not usually be strong enough to hold someone his size but be damned it the wooden legs don't thicken and elonggate somewhat at his touch.. and small branches sprout from the old varnished wood as he sits and sets down his books.

"Aye, I 'eard 'bout th' garden.. There are pictures in th' book. Ah will definitely hae tae see them." he says happily. "An' I am nae worried about th' cold. It cannae get much colder here 'en back in Scotland."

"So, have ye two been at this skool a long time?" he asks.

Tendril has posed:
The mauve girl eyes the plant tendril reaching for her plate, her own tendril curling up a bit, as if she's pondering swatting it like she would a hand, but then it pulls bakc and she stuffs the remains of her current burger into her mouth, as Thistlewalker explains. She swallows, then says "Boom Boom's been her a long time; I've been here...mmm...little over three months. Came in during th' summer break." she explains. "So...do ya like th' full name? Or do ya got a nickname?" Not that Tabby won't give him one given half a chance. "Or do ya go by Thistle or Walker for short?"

Thistlewalker has posed:
Thistlewalker leans back on the his now revitalised wooden chair, testing it, then looks satisfied before he returns to the conversation. "Ya ken jus' call me Thistle.. That's whut m'mum and da call me. M' full name is Thistlewalker Ewan Drus.." he explains. "So, ya... Thistle be fine. Only mah Gran calls me Ewan.." The two larger vines drape down his back, like longer (and very green) dreadlocks.

"So yuir new as well, Lexi? Thats awesome." he then looks at both girls. "Are ya both American?"

Tendril has posed:
"Okay Thistle." Lexi says cheerfully, then nods. "Yeah. New York born n' bred." Which is odd, because she doesn't have a normal New York accent...it's more...odd. "Lotsa types that are from outta th' country though. I know Miss Munroe is from Africa, an' Miss Croft is from England, an' I'm pretty sure Mr. Wagner is from Germany or somethin'."

Boom-Boom has posed:
"Ewan"? Boomer asks. "Like Obi-Wan Kenobi?" she wonders. "I guess you could be 'Treebeard'. she adds. She has a drink of her coffee, which is actually mostly sugar and milk with a little coffee. "I'm American, yeah."

Thistlewalker has posed:
Thistlewalker chuckles slightly. "Mah gran gave me mah middle name... She thought it wuz unholy not t'have a middle name." he says. "And she love Ewan mcgregor in trainspottin though she says it was /her/ granpas name." he tells Tabitha. "And How ken I be Treebeard iffen I ain't got a beard?" he asks, half teasing.

He then looks to lexi and his grassy brow perks up. "Lady Croft?" he asks, surprised. "She teaches 'ere?"

Tendril has posed:
LExi grins. "Yeah! Isn't it cool?" She blinks at a beeping from her pocket, then tendril curling into her pocket as she tugs it out. "Gah...I'm late ta th' study session for her class actually! I gotta get goin'. Um, would one of you guys dump my tray for me? Thanks! See ya around Thistle!" She leans over to give Tabby a light kiss on her cheek. "See ya later hon, don't get in too much trouble!" And with a quick jog, she 's out the door and on her way, her book tucked under her arm as she beats feat to make it to the classroom on time.
