Cast of Characters: Slipstream, Supergirl, Mon-El

Slipstream has posed:
The sounds of the ship and the medbay has kept Drake awake all day as he stares up at the ceiling. He has been in and out of sedation, depending on when the medicine will automatically dispense through the tube attached to his arm. The eSport news has been buzzing loudly with questions surrounding what went down. There are rumors that he's dead, or that he's missing a few limbs. His teammate Zapp, his beloved and trusty support player has been non-stop on the interview circuit having full blown panic attacks and begging for his friend to return safe. Dressed in a medical gown without any technology, the thought of killing himself has crossed his mind a few times. It would be better than the cold, sterile feeling of this room. He has not spoken with anyone all day, having most likely been sleeping when anyone has checked up on him.

Supergirl has posed:
Flying up to the station was easy enough. When challenged, the Justice Leaguer explained she was here to visit Drake. Shown to the medbay, she knocks before coming in to his room on the off chance he doesn't want visitors. "Hey....it's uhh, Supergirl." She says in a soft voice, peeking in. She has a backpack in her hands. There's concern in her features, blond brows knit together.

Slipstream has posed:
"Hey, Kara." Drake says as he stares glassy eyed at the ceiling. "You are real, right?" He asks softly in a raspy, tight voice. He rolls his head over towards her, his face bloodshot and pale. He pushes himself up to a sitting position, wincing a bit with the effort. For all intents and purposes, he looks fine. No physical injuries.

Supergirl has posed:
"Wow, you look like you're feeling rough." Kara murmurs. She comes in, setting the pack at the foot of his bed. "Brought you some things...had to ask around a little with your team, but-" She draws out a pair of comfortable looking socks and a warm robe. "So you're comfortable while you're here-I've never liked hospital clothes the few times I was hurt enough to need them." She reaches in again and pulls out a laptop. "For when you get bored." She tells him and sets the backpack on the floor.

Slipstream has posed:
"Wow.. thanks Kara. That is really cool of you." Drake says softly as he lifts up a hand to rub at his face. "My clothes are covered in .. ah .. puke ... and I don't think they have a conventional washing machine up here... or cell service .. or wifi... or ... normal chargers to plug stuff into. But the socks and robe is great." He says as he reaches out with a trembling hand to take the socks, then leans over slowly to begin pulling them on his bare feet. "Did you hear what happened?"

Supergirl has posed:
"Not too much." Kara admits. "Sounded like you got caught up in some alien drama. Some criminal the Legion are hunting?" She guesses and looks at the lap top. "I'll zoom down to earth and get you some dvds or something." Sitting on the edge of his bed she watches him. "You gonna be ok?"

Slipstream has posed:
".. I don't think I'll ever be okay." Drake admits as he picks at the blanket on top of him. "Her name is Glorith. She has this obsessive .. ah .. crush on Lar I guess. She laid out a trap for him but instead I got sucked in. Some type of time prison full of these magical crystals that shows you potential .. ah ... parts of your life. Like different realities. Except you live them." He squeezes the blanket harder, twisting it about in his hands. ".. and .. the memories stay with you. It's hard to tell what's real and what's not. I..." He swallows. ".. I was married to Laurel and we had a daughter. Her name is Lorelei. She was so beautiful.." He says weakly. "And my mother... she was alive and .. and she.." He takes in a deep breath, screwing his face up. "And Lar said none of it is real. That I need to get over it."

Supergirl has posed:
Placing a hand on Drake's wrist, Kara meets Drake's eyes. "Hearts can change." She tells him gently. "Yours, hers, as nice as it was, it's one possibility, others might be just as wonderful." Sitting back, her hands rest on her lap again. "I am sorry you had to experience the sort of twisted tech that's out there. Other planets are sometimes far more advanced, they've had a lot of time to think of horrid things to do to each other out there." She nods spaceward.

Slipstream has posed:
"You were married to Lar by the way. He was my best man at the wedding." Drake says as he gives her a lopsided smile for a moment, then gives his head a shake. "Lar told me that we can no longer be friends. That it's his fault I got hurt and because of that, we can't see each other anymore. I haven't seen him since yesterday, since he stormed out of here." He says with a soft voice. "I don't know if he really meant it .. but .. " He sighs softly. "Lyle says that I'm dying, sorta .. and they're trying to figure out why. My body is falling apart on a .. uh ... molecular level.. I think... like it's shaking itself apart... and the drugs they put in me are supposed to cool me off. I'm .. scared.. you know..." Chewing his lip, he shrugs his shoulders upwards. "I don't want to die."

Supergirl has posed:
"He's scared. You're his friend and he cares about you-I know think he's very comfortable with loss." Kara murmurs, glossing over the other bit. "Do you mind if I look at you-like-super vision look-I doubt it's any fancier than what they can do for you here-but it doesn't hurt to try...I mean, on my planet we'd cured just about everything. We had this sort of ball, it would scan and generate the appropriate ummm-I guess you'd call them nanomachines to fix the problem, whatever it was." She's more or less trying to distract Drake now from his woes.

Slipstream has posed:
When she mentions using her super vision on him, Drake instinctively slides his hands down over the top of his crotch, despite being under blankets and his gown. "Uh.. I mean ... just .. don't... judge me .. if you do ..." He trails off with a flush of his cheeks. "I don't know what you'd see that Lyle hasn't found .. he just says my body is kinda .. tearing itself apart.. and .. everything is like .. super speedy. It's why I get fevers and other stuff." He shifts his jaw for a moment in thought. "It still hurt though." He says in regards to the earlier topic.

Supergirl has posed:
"I don't doubt it. Super speedy huh? I have a team mate whose molecules vibrate and is human-well, meta human. Has anyone called Star Labs?" She wonders and shakes her head with a smile. "Don't worry. I won't peek, and to be fair-I've seen human male anatomy, you're fairly proportionate as a species in my experience." She pats his leg, trying to reassure Drake.

Slipstream has posed:
There is a violent blush along Drake's face as she says that last line. "Th... thanks... Uh .. haven't had .. any complaints yet." He says with a chuckle as he rubs the back of his neck. "I don't know if anyone called Star Labs or anyone else. Lyle said that .. he's working on it."

Mon-El has posed:
Lar returns to the cruiser, feeling even worse now than he did before he left due to having almost gotten someone killed yet again. It's a good thing Bombshell had come to the rescue, otherwise...he doesn't want to think about what would have happened.

Upon arriving in medical to check on Drake, he is shocked again to find Kara there. Which again, is kind of weird because shouldn't he have seen her?

    "...K-kara..." he stammers.

Supergirl has posed:
Leaning in, Kara kisses Drake's cheek. "Well, I'll just have to recommend Star Labs to this Lyle. I won't lose my new friend. I'm partial to keeping friends." She informs Drake and nods. "Besides, I had to go bug your game teammates for a laptop so now your like, my Jimmy Olsen." She grins and looks around. "We need to get you some Big Belly Burger or something. No wnoder you feel-" She looks up at Lar and flushes. "Oh umm, hi...."

Slipstream has posed:
The kiss causes Drake to gain a dopey looking grin on his face for a moment as his cheeks burn brighter. "Your Jimmy Olsen? The guy from the Daily Planet? He took pics of our team once." He takes the laptop and opens it up, staring at his login screen with a smile, then taps along the glowing red keys to unlock it. When Lar steps in, he looks up at him for a moment, then frowns as he looks back at his computer screen.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar glances at Drake for a moment, but quickly tears his gaze away, looking back to Kara. "Kara, you have to take me to the Fortress of Solitude." he insists suddenly, his eyes desperate. "I don't know what's all there but I'm running out of options. I've tried everything and nothing is working. And it's not coming back naturally. Please. Whatever has to be done I'll do it. I-I just--I can't keep living like this..." He seems more distraught than ever before.

Supergirl has posed:
"Jimmy Olsen is famously Superman's friend." Kara smiles. "He has an alert watch hits a frequency ears like mine can hear." She tells Drake. "Like a super panic button." Looking at Lar, Kara's shoulders slump. "I'll take you. I just wanted to check on Drake. Make sure he was ok-you know?" She slides off the edge of the bed and looks at Mon El. "He's afraid for his life." She tows Lar into the room. "Visit your friend and I'll let Kal know we're going to the Fortress."

Slipstream has posed:
"Are you getting me a watch?" Drake asks with an amused grin on his face as his fingers tap slowly along the keys for a few moments, keeping his eyes on the screen. He's playing a game of classic Minesweeper, being that he doesn't have internet on the laptop. He has no clue if the station even has wifi or internet he can connect to.

Mon-El has posed:
Lar nods and moves over to the display on one of the machines monitoring Drake's health. He sighs, seeing that it's no different than it was before. "The best we can do is try to find a way to control the molecular dispersion rate as much as possible." he says evenly, shaking his head. "It's not something we can just fix, but maybe we can get it under control enough to allow him to go back to at least a semblance of a normal life." Another sigh and he sinks into a chair in front of the terminal, resting his head on a hand.

Supergirl has posed:
Watching Mon-El slump, Kara props her hands on her hips. "Well, I for one recommend talking to the Flash and Star Labs for starts." She crosses her arms under her chest. "And you-you're scared, but you aren't responsible Lar. He was perfectly safe until a criminal caused trouble. That is no fault of his for being your friend, or yours for being his. Don't be cruel." She nods to Drake. "Talk. I'll wait outside."

Slipstream has posed:
"I'm just gonna go to the bathroom." Drake mutters as he swings his legs over the edge of the bed and rises upwards, pulling the gown back to try and hide his bare rump. He also now has warm socks on due to Kara. Snagging the robe that she brought for him, he shuffles through the doors as they swish open for him. He has a wobble in his step, as if standing up right is a bit awkward, followed by a odd jolt of his body that blurs him forward. "Ugh, gonna be sick." Can be heard down the hall as he disappears. He's probably going to get lost and stuck in a janitor's closet.

Mon-El has posed:
"No." Lar says quietly, then raises his voice a bit. "-No-. You -don't- get it! None of you get it! Of course it's not his fault, it's -mine-. And you know why? Because it was -me- Glorith was after. Not Laurel, not Drake, not Lyle. -Me-. I should have found a way to -deal- with her like a -long- time ago, -before- she ever even had a -chance- to sabotage our tech! And I never should have let myself get so close to a human when I -knew- she was on my tail! And maybe, if I could remember my own damn -life-, then I would've been more careful!"

He stands up and paces over to the window, staring angrily out of it with his fists clenched. "It's like I can't go anywhere, or do -anything-, without almost getting innocent people killed. You know what happened earlier? I lost it at this mutant and nearly punched her into oblivion. She would've been -dead- if someone else hadn't intervened. -Dead-."

Supergirl has posed:
Punching Lar's arm, Kara frowns. "You are so self centered. Drake's not ten-he knows heroes draw a lot of fire and he still cares for you. And you care for him. He was so crushed when you said you couldn't be friends. That's so mean of you. You should be here for him right now." Her arms cross under her chest, eyes darkening.

Mon-El has posed:
"You know what? You're right." Lar folds his arms even as Kara punches him. "I am self-centered, and he has every right to hate me. For everything. For ruining his life and for abandoning him, too. I was stupid to think I could ever be anything more than what my arrogant, prejudiced parents raised me to be. Not without remembering the -other- me." he sighs, staring out the window again. "Maybe I should just go home. If there's even a home to go back to...or at least just go back to my parents, wherever they are." He sounds less angry now, and more just grieved.

Supergirl has posed:
"Ugh! You aren't listening. He doesn't hate you. He's sad because you hurt his feelings." Kara blows out a breath, yelling at Lar. "You wanna tuck tail and run home, great. So glad you can-your highness. So you got a scare, your friend got hurt-that could happen to humans too-in normal human friendships and they still have them. If this is your home, buck up and fight for him!" She glares, stamping a foot. "Because he needs you."

Mon-El has posed:
"Sure like he needs someone who turned his perfectly happy and normal life into a cesspool of chaos." Lar mutters, his gaze falling now. "Forget it, just forget it. No one understands, not even you."

Supergirl has posed:
"HE CHOSE IT, HE CHOSE YOU!" Kara grabs Lar, making him look at her. "You're going to watch that monitor and come to me to fix your problems? Will getting your memories back magically make you the hero you think you were?" She taps his chest. "Your heart and pain are still there and you have to chose to work through that. I'm going to help Drake. I'm going to do everything in my power for him because I decided he's my fried. If trouble comes his way-I'll save him, no matter where it comes from. He saw me for me and I won't abandon him."

Mon-El has posed:
"..." Lar stares into Kara's eyes as she grabs him and makes him look at her. Tears start to well up even though he tries to hold them back. "I-I'm sorry..." he finally says after what seems like an eternity of silence. "I'm just--everything I touch...everyone I've tried to connect with...they just end up getting hurt, Kara. And I just can't bear to see it happen again. Especially not to Drake. I don't know if fixing the amnesia will even do anything...But I don't know what else to do. I don't know what to do."

Supergirl has posed:
"Sit here with your friend. He's alone and scared. Be here with him." Kara says softly and shakes Lar lightly. "Go bring him his favorite foods and help him get through this, silly." She looks into his eyes and raises her brows. "You'll hate yourself if you aren't here for him. I need to see about reaching out to Star Labs or my....associate Power Girl. They might have some ideas to help. Then we can go to the fortress."

Mon-El has posed:
"I'm just so afraid..." Lar stares at the empty bed where Drake was a few minutes ago. "What if I get him killed?! Kara, haven't you ever felt this way before?! Haven't you ever been afraid you'll get your friends killed?"

    "How do you do it..."
