Date of Scene: 29 July 2018
Location: Bludhaven
Synopsis: Buffy Summers meet the two wizards of Bludhaven..
Cast of Characters: Harry Dresden, Buffy Summers, Molly Carpenter

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden's office is on the 5th floor of an old brown stone in Bludhaven, the building built back in the 1950's and only moderately updated, an old cage style elevator takes people to their specific floors. Harry's door is your typical noir PI style dore, a dark oak wood with a large smoked pane of glass with black lettering. "Dresden Investigations" in large black lettering above five silver dollar sized Icons, four circular glyphs flanking a pentacle..

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy is out and about. One of the best things about being in college? NOT being so tied to Sunnydale. Yes, she still has to protect it, YES, she still works there. But she can occasionally get out and about. And really, how often do you see wizards advertising. She knows wizards; good ones like John Constantine and Rupert Giles, or nasty ones like Ethan Rayne. So, while she's not planning to jump in there and do any slayage, it's still something you tourist when you're something like her. It's like seeing the dancing bear.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden is sitting in his office, a rather dead day.. no make that week with one client trying to refuse to pay the bill when it turned out his rich wife /wasn't/ having an affair but was visiting a sick family member that was concidered a black sheep, and another who was trying to say a painting he sold had been 'stolen' by the buyer.. "Ahh Bludhaven, don't ever change." he says sarcasticly as he breaks out of his musing. "Hey Molly, toss me a paper back would you?" he asks pointing to the box next to Mouses bed just behind her desk "I wanna re-read one of the Xanthe novels.." he explains..

Buffy Summers has posed:
Which is the point where Buffy knocks at the door. Just for peace of mind, it's on the wood part of the door, not the bit with the pentacles on the glass. Once she knocks, she'll try to open the door, to see what she can see inside. If it opens. It's a business, right?

Molly Carpenter has posed:
Molly Carpenter shifts to cover her mouth with a hand yawning quietly. "You wake the sleeping beast to get them," she shoots back. "What'd you feed him last night anyway?" Mouse is given a look and she shakes her head at him with a cluck of her tongue. "It was Burger King again, wasn't it."

She's thankfully spared from having to hunt for a book for Harry when Buffy knocks, and she turns her attention toward the door with an instant smile. "Welcome!" She greets cheerily before even seeing the woman there. "How can we help you?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden straightens up in his chair at the knock. "Come in!" he says grimacing when he feels like he sounds a little /too/ eager. "How can we help you Miss?" he asks standing up from his chair the tall dark haired man trying not to loom over the petite blonde. 'Need to ask Karrin if she's got a little sister I don't know about.' he thinks to himself when he takes in the petite blonde.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy looks over as she enters the office, checking out the surroundings. Yep. Smells like books. She looks over, not expecting an advertising wizard to have a younger female partner. She smiles a bit, and says "So...you're the wizard?" Getting right to the point.

Molly Carpenter has posed:
Molly Carpenter sweeps a few sheets of paper with scribbling off of her desk to tap together into a pile, and then tuck away in the drawer of her desk, all the while smiling in that reassuring way that one expects of an office worker. "He is," she agrees. "Don't let his appearance fool you. He really is a wizard." Yep. She leans back in her chair letting him take the lead from here.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden's expression darkens a bit at the 'wizard' question "AS is stated on the door." he says already expecting this to be a 'my little brother is having his fourth birthday in three days' sort of situation. "Harry Dresden at your service and my girl friday Molly." he says motioning to the blue and purple dyed woman. "How may we help you?" he asks..

Buffy Summers has posed:
"Buffy Summers." She offers her own name, knowing that she's a pretty well known celebrity in the mystic world. Chosen One and all that. "I don't get up this way often. And I've never seen a wizard actually advertise before. Not that many people actually use a phone book any more." Her eyes take in some of the books, looking to see if there's any she recognizes.

Molly Carpenter has posed:
"Woah, seriously?" Molly stares at Buffy a moment, blinking in surprise at the name. A grin finally cracks her face. "That's awesome. I heard about you in school. I mean, nothing bad, really just..." She shrugs a bit clearing her throat. "Lots of rumors. That now that I think about them mean a lot more than they did to me back then."

Harry Dresden has posed:
The books in the office are in an old tattered box in a corner next to the large sleeping form of his woolly doggosarus Mouse, tattered and abused paper backs, while a small end table has a fan of small pamplets entitled

'Real Witches Don't Float So Good'
     'Magic in the 21st Century'
     'Witches and You'
'Want To Do Magic? Ask Me How!'
'Why Witches Don't Sink Any Faster Than Anyone Else - a Wizard's Perspective'
     'Magic and You'

Keeping his focuse on her forehead just above the center of her eyes Harry doesn't meet Buffy's gaze directly as he clearly doesn't recognize the name himself. "and what brings you to my little corner of Bludhaven?" he asks glancing back over at Molly before turning back to Buffy "If you're some sort of performer, I'm sorry to inform you we don't do party favors." he says in apologetic tones..

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy looks surprised, as she gets called a performer, and looks back over to Molly. "You're sure he's the wizard, and not you?" Then it's back to Dresden. "Not a performer. Slayer?" she offers, looking over to the taller man. "Just figured I'd see who was handling the magic end of things out this way."

Molly Carpenter has posed:
Molly Carpenter rolls her eyes with a small groan. "I'm a wizard, too, but he's the one with 'experience'," she says as her hands lift to make air quotes. A step is taken toward Harry and she swings a hand out to smack the back of his shoulder reproachfully. "You need to get out more with the younger crowd instead of hanging out in cellars, Harry. She's a vampire hunter." Sighing she turns back to Buffy shaking her head apologetically. "Sorry, he's really actually good at what he does."

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy looks over. "If you say so. Right now I'd go with the millennials being the more skilled one here. What is it with old wizards thinking they can stop learning about things?" She shakes her head, more attention on Molly now. "Nice to meet you, Molly."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden scowls at Molly before looking back over to Buffy "Ahh, a hunter, my mentor knew a few hunters. A Billy, or Bobby something or another." he says simply before he gives a bit of a roll of his own eyes. "A: I'm a millenial, you.." he pauses to motion to both women. "Are post millenials. and B: I'm not that leather bound yet, I hear you really don't get /that/ rigid till you're in the middle of your second century." he explains "You have something popping up on your radar that has you looking for a bit more firepower or lore or something?" he asks curiously "Would you like something to drink? I've got cokes and bottled water, and something SHE likes to keep in the cooler" he says motioning to an old 1950s era coke chest resting in the corner..

Molly Carpenter has posed:
Molly Carpenter offers out a hand to Buffy to shake while grinning. "Nice to meet you too, Buffy." Her own eyes don't meet Buffy's gaze though as she instead decides to stare at around her nose. "And it's a protein shake, Harry. You ought to try one sometime."

Buffy Summers has posed:
"I dunno. You come off older to me." Buffy adds. "And no. Nothing specific. I know the magical side of things that goes on over in Sunnydale, but this is a little outside my area. Figured I'd stop in and see what things were going on. Never hurts to network a little, right?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden shrugs "been quiet around here, the occasional troll tries to set himself up at a bridge, had a group of ghouls try to stir up trouble a couple of weeks ago." he says before turning to look at Molly "You had to deal with those kids with the water guns that dissolved clothes." he comments before giving another shrug "pretty quiet on the bump in the night scene right now." he comments "Hell BCPD hasn't need to consult me in six months." he adds dropping down in his chair.

Molly Carpenter has posed:
Molly Carpenter grimaces a bit. "Oh don't remind me. I can't believe they actually figured out how to do that. Whoever came up with that spell is a total perv." Before she can say more, an alarm clock on her desk goes off drawing her away. It's an old round wind up type that she quickly turns off. "Ah... I'm sorry," she offers with an apologetic smile to both Harry and Buffy. "I promised mom I'd help with the jawas tonight so she and dad could go on a date. So I'll probably be busy all night trying not to hear things from their room." Blech. "Maybe I'll catch you another time," she offers to Buffy with a grin as she grabs her bag and heads out.

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy gives a wave. "Take care!" She looks over to Harry. "Well, that's good to hear. I mean, the quiet. Not the water gun clothesmelty thing. You have a card or something? I mean, in case we need some backup this way, or you need some backup come Sunnydale way?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden nods reaching into his back pocket and pulling out his wallet to produce a buisness card. "that rings my office, if I'm not in I have an answering service that takes messages and I check in several times a day." he explains as he hands it over. 5CUZ3Ik.jpg

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy nods. "Sounds good!" She'll take the card. "I can text you my number, so you can get me. What's your cell number?" she asks.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden shakes his head "No Cell, they don't work around us. You either get me here, or my answering service." he explains "Most delicate electronics tend not to survive their first encounter with me." Which Buffy will find out when she goes to pull out her cellphone later to find it stuck on the boot up screen.... in greek...

Buffy Summers has posed:
Buffy frowns. "Fine, okay." She puts her cell back in her pocket. "Post-it?" she asks, nodding to his desk. "Or, you know, pen and paper?"

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden pulls out both a post-it and a pen "here you go." he says handing it over for her to give him her 'digits' "IT was a pleasure meeting you Buffy but my office hours are coming to a close" he says politely thinking to himself how good a steak sandwich sounds right now..

Buffy Summers has posed:
The blonde nods, and writes her number. "Sounds good. If you get any trouble up this way, especially the fangy kind, let me know." And with that, she'll head out, her curiosity sated.
