Cast of Characters: Shredder, Raphael
Tinyplot: Tourney

Shredder has posed:
"But we could show the traitor that we will not let the disrespect go unpunished. I will kill him like that abomination tha the is!" Karai insists to the Shredder.
"Not today," comes the answer as the two walk through the tents to the fighting circle. He raises a finger which parallels one of his spikes. "You will do as I say, Karai. He does not die here." Behind them walk two of the Foot Elites, clay masks peek beneath hoods as they hold their spears at the ready. The very best of the Foot Clan's soldiers attending to their master.

Karai wears her usual uniform, the red sash around her waist on the dark combat uniform, and the thin pauldrons and shin guards, while not bladed, give her an eerie resemblence to her grandfather. Her pair of ninjato are over her back in a familiar pattern like that of Raphael's brother, though her hot temper is more reminiscent of the turtle that shares her choice in color.

Raphael has posed:
Raph was pacing back and forth, red mask covering his eyes, making them appear pure white. But it was impossible to mask the anger emanating from the turtle, dressed like he was in a pair of red kickboxing shorts, the same he wore in his fight against Razorfist. His scars from that fight were already mostly healed, now scabbed over and would not be a factor in this fight.

Curiously, his sai were nowhere in sight, and over his hands and feet were red padded gloves and kickpads, designed less to protect the victim, and more to protect the attacker's limbs to allow them to hit even harder and faster than normally.

"Yeah, I see ya got yer goofy Foots with ya!"

Mikey would appreciate the skater reference, but the angriest of the four wasn't smiling as he cracked that joke.

"So what, after I send you packing, you gonna have those morons jump me, that it?"

Shredder has posed:
Karai curls her lip. "Scum, you cannot hope to beat me. Do I see that you come unarmed? Are you afraid of what would happen should we use weapons?" she asks. "My grandfather has stayed my hand, so you do not worry. I will not kill you today." She enters the ring, not yet disarming her weapons. She's shorter than Raphael, but her stance would say she believes she isn't.

Shredder and his two elite do not answer the barbed remarks, instead behind the mask, the jonin's face remains as steel as his armor.

Raphael has posed:
"I don't need the sais. I didn't come here to fight with weapons. 'Course the first guy I fought had knives fer hands, but what can ya do, right?"

Raph hopped backward a few steps, to allow the woman to enter the 'fighting ring'. Wiping his thumb across his 'nose area' like a certain martial arts legend, he pointed a warning finger at Shredder, and the other goons.

"Yeah, when we heard you died, I knew deep down the news was too good to be true. Why don't you do us all a favor an' go fight the Rhino or somethin'. I'd buy that guy a drink afterward!"

His outburst done, the constantly pacing Turtle looked over at Karai, and his arms raised, while his left went up to tippy toes, knee raised. This was pure Muay Thai, which meant the damage he wanted to do to her(And the monsters she represented) was not of the gentle sort. He was just watching her, bouncing on his feet impatiently, and waiting.

Shredder has posed:
Karai unbuckles her sheaths, and removes the belt. She throws them without looking to one of the Elites, who catches them without a flinch in his open hand. She removes her scarf, pulling the shuriken pack from within, and tosses them to the other. Then she removes her red sash containing her kunai, and they are thrown to the side. Then the pauldrons, leaving her thin shoulders bare, and finally the greaves. Her eyes don't leave Raphael as she does.

"Very well, turtle," she says. "Then if you choose the armaments. I propose terms of victory. There is not a winner until one of us submits, or else is unconscious." She steps up closer, and says under her breath. "Just because I can't kill you here, doesn't mean I can't make you beg me to kill you."

Raphael has posed:
She spoke and the second she made the proposal, Raph was blitzing toward her as fast as a ninjutsu practicioner could move, leaping through the air with a 'knockout knee' aimed for her face. He doubted that would land, but the second he himself dropped down he'd drop down to his shell, taking a page of capoeria from Mikey's book in a 'breakdancing' sort of legsweep. He would be back to his feet before he knew it, but would either of these land? Maybe, maybe not. Part of his brain was hoping that would be it, then he could brutalize the goons. And then...and then Shredder was here. Could he try it?

    Maybe. Maybe. Maybe...

Shredder has posed:
The sudden engagement without the formal bow...probably should have been expected. The fact that it connected would indicate that it wasn't. Karai is caught square in the face by the knee, first blood spraying from her nose as she stumbles backward. She backpedals away from the legsweep, and she fires back forward using her current height advantage to leap toward Raphael, attempting to land on his right shoulder with full force.

The Shredder doesn't react, shows no approval, no surprise, no anger. He just watches.

Raphael has posed:
Truth be told, he wasn't expecting the opening knee to connect. He was happy it made contact and that he got blood flowing, but it meant he landed in front instead of behind her, and it meant that his sweep attempt was far less likely to succeed. He watched her leap up through the air, but while he was spinning there was was no real time to fully react. Her feet came down in a 'mushroom stomp' against his pectoral, and even with the protection of the 'softer' shell along his front, the impact was enough to get him to cry out. Pain was radiating throughout him now, but sadly for Karai, her attack might have an unintended consequence.

Raphael was spinning on the center of his shell. Karai's sudden impact caused it to roll and lurch to the side, and almost mindlessly, Raph rolled with the momentum, his right arm attempting to wrap itself around the girl's ankles so that he could keep rolling and end up on top of her, facedown. If he were a wrestler, of the olympic variety, this would be the death of Karai immediately if it worked. Instead, he'd just push off of her to his feet, with the palm of his hand pushing against the back of her head to do so. Backing away to his feet if all goes well, he watched her with a humorless sneer on his face.

    "Nice trick."

Shredder has posed:
Karai snaps one foot up as Raphael wraps his arm around her feet, but she still has to be supporting herself with the other, so the end result becomes the same. She lands face first, though she catches herself with her hands. As Raphael rolls up and plants her head into the grass, she grunts, but does not let the disrespect pass without consequence. As he starts to push up, her own hands reach up and snag the hand and wrist, and she twists. The natural course might cause him to flip over back to the ground if he has no counter, but she isn't trying to simply flip him, she's trying to break his wrist. "I have been trained by the greatest master to ever live," she growls. "Not by a rat in the sewer."

Raphael has posed:
"Yeah, well at least my teacher can't rust in the dishwashah!"

He was now stuck in a grappling match in close quarters. Karai was grabbing on to Raphael's wrist, and it was taking all of his strength and power not to 'cooperate' with the impressively strong girl. His teeth were grit as his right hand went out to support his poor left, and to potentially grab HER wrist and apply pressure of his own.

Suddenly, he'd jerk upright, trying to bring her up to a sitting position as well. If he could then he'd bring his knees up, right then left then right, each aimed at the back of her skull. From this position not much energy or force could be generated, but those were still hard knees from densely muscular ninja turtle legs, and the back of the skull was not ever a great place to get hit.

Shredder has posed:
Karai is forced to comply with the maneuver by Raph's strength, , the blood still flowing down her nose and jaw. She turns her head, taking one blow on the ear, which certainly doesn't look like it felt good, but evading the second. She looks him in the eye with a glare, then wrenches her hands, attempting to break both her own grip and Raph's at the same time, and if successful, she uses the move to swing with both hands, aiming to chop at the pressure points where the skull meets the side of the neck, and follow by shoving herself forward for a head butt to the teeth.

Raphael has posed:
Karai made the move and Raph fully cooperated with it, the half-shelled hero not wanting to sit and grapple with someone like her. Yeah he might have certain strength advantages, but she had fingers heading toward a sensitive area that the turtle immediately had to bring his guard up to protect against. Her fingers and her head each slammed into padded, protected forearms, which still hurt, but were much easier to deal with than what Karai wanted to do. The True Master Of Sais On This Island immediately rolled backward, springing to his feet and leaping into the air with a series of backflips, landing on his feet with a bounce as his guard was around his mid-section. This was a bit 'lazier' than the earlier Muay Thai stance, but it was more free-flowing, easier to improvise with. He could more easily lash out with a knockout kick from a variety of situations, which he personally liked.

"I see that Shredder there never taught ya that nobody wins with a headbutt. Might explain yer personality if that's a favorite technique!"

Shredder has posed:
Karai mirrors the maneuver that Raphael makes, also springing to her feet. "Ineffective against those who are thick-skulled, so perhaps you are right," she sneers, wiping the blood from her nose across her forearm. She darts forward like a cat, then spins for an extra force of a roundhouse kick to his lower soft front of his shell.

Except she doesn't. At the last moment her leg twists upward, turning into a monkey kick toward the head, the entire maneuver designed to bait a defense to the mid-section and away from the head.

Raphael has posed:
When she was throwing the kick, he was already dancing to the side of it to potentially light her up with a combination, so that the trick angle completely caught him by surprise. Yeah, Karai might have been a small woman, but she was a powerhouse when it came to striking, and Raphael was hit so hard that he almost flipped through the air, landing on his shell and rolling to his feet. He was still reeling and lurching when he went high, leaping upward to bring his elbow downward atop the crown of her skull. He was not very balanced right now, but up in the air where he could let gravity generate the power? Him seeing tweety birds wasn't the end of the world.

Shredder has posed:
Having the moment that she needed to be prepared as Raphael came forward gave her the advantage, watching the Turtle come flying at her like a bull through the air. As a matador, then, she tucks to one side, rotating to deliver a back kick up into his descending midsection, using both her striking power and his momentum as her tools.

Raphael has posed:
Raph, in the air, had no choice but to take that kick coming down. He was launched backward, again rolling with the impact, but this time he was on his knees, forcing himself upright and forcing himself not to hurl. (Not to ralf, in fact?)

He didn't think anything was broken, but that definitely winded him, the struggle now was getting air back through his lungs.

"Y'know, yo..." followed by coughing. Well, the intent of the quip was probably hilarious. The execution, not so much in this case.

Shredder has posed:
"Oh, I know," Karai says. She doesn't let him catch his breath, and instead, presses the attack. She doesn't go for a knock out blow, though, instead going for a disabling strike, an open finger jab at a pressure point on his right arm, followed by a brutal kick to the side of the knee, potential to dislocate it.

Raphael has posed:
He had enough wherewithal to grab at Karai's wrist before the fingers hit where they shouldn't, even as he sprung to his feet, probably preparing to judo throw her. Sadly, as he got up her kick ended up sweeping out his ankles from under him, causing him to let go of her wrist and land hard on his side with an 'OOMPH!'. Shaking his head, all Raph needed was a moment to center himself, and maybe he could still win this!

Shredder has posed:
A moment is not what Karai wants to give the mutant. As he lands she comes down with an elbow, aimed at an eye socket with all of the vitriol she can manage.

Raphael has posed:
    "NO!"

Raphael sees the elbow coming down, and moves upward to intercept, to try and counter or dodge, but all that happened is he took that elbow to his skull somewhere, instead of his eye socket. Now instead of getting crushed, he was just completely knocked out, with the referee watching this exchange immediately waving a flag and stepping in.

It was over. Raphael had lost.

Shredder has posed:
Karai gives another kick in defiance of the referee, a useless kick against the turtle's shell. "Abomination," she growls. She goes down to crouch near him. "Tell your brothers, the Foot is beyond you. Hide in your sewer like the slugs you are, or we will kill you." She stands back to her feet, and walks back to Shredder, who still silently watches with approval.
