Location: Salem Center
Synopsis: Miyako, Caitlin, Billy Cranston, and Miyako's origami cow carrier meet at the Salem Center mall. Billy is cutely awkward.
Cast of Characters: Origami, Fairchild, Blue Ranger

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore was soaring around earlier, and looking for stuff to do. And there were things, but nothing that really needed assistance at the time. So now she felt like picking up a bite, and the mall happened to be nearby. And well.. 'secret' ID? Don't make me laugh. She's on Google. So she folded an origami cow, because they're box shaped, and dropped her bunker pants and coat and her helmet in it. Because seing people in firefighting clothes in a mall tends to make people anxious.

So there's a spotted paper cow the size of a large dog, with brown crayon spots, following her around and occasionally making a soft "moo" noise. That's something you see every day. really. Because she doesn't want to cause alarm.

Okay.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin Fairchild Is here shopping for clothes, she's got a new job so she can afford new clothes and when your a 6ft 5 glamazon you need clothes! They don't exactly make outfits in her size. So she's in jeans and a top trying to hold together as she tries to find something she can wear.

Blue Ranger has posed:
So, having turned up literally no leads on his little caper that had led him here in the first place, Billy Cranston, the Blue Power Ranger, had decided to take a half-day off of his investigation from Rita Repulsa snooping, and had ventured out from the main part of New York City, wandering out into Westchester County... because, well, why not? This time of year, this part of New York was beautiful, and there *was* a shopping mall that kind of reminded him of a mall that reminded him of a mall back in Angel Grove.

Or, so he was told, anyway.

Stepping into the mall entrance, he looks around, taking in the view... noting the overall look of cobblestone and marble, blinking slightly. "Elegant," he notes to himself quietly, pushing his glasses up. Americans sure do appreciate their elegant building tastes in shopping centers. As he proceeds on in, he begins to note the kinds of people shopping here. It seems like your run of the mill type of people... and he doesn't seem to really notice anything out of the ordina--

Wait. Is that... an origami *cow?*

He stops for a moment, pausing to lift his glasses off of his face, wiping them on his shirt, before putting them back on his face... before squinting slightly. He then tilts his head. "Americans... are *wild,*" he mutters to himself. He notes the figure that it's following, before tilting his head again... "Interesting," he whispers. Of course, he's getting used to seeing these kinds of things. New York and this area seems to be a trove of superhuman activity...

And then, of course, he turns his head again to see the super-tall Redhead. The super-tall redhead from Central Park that took the bullet for Jason.

"Oh. Oh dear."

He begins to turn, seeming to try and find a direction to go opposite of the tall woman... heading toward the origami woman, unintentionally.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore looks around a bit. Hmm. What to eat.. She fishes a huge tube of lotion in a prescription bottle out of the side pocket of her messenger bag and massages it into the mess of scar tissue that is her hands idly, looking around the place. The super tall redhead that she's gone on patrol before gets a smile and a nod if she looks her way. Then there's some random person making his way toward her. That gets a head tilt and a concerned look. "Hello."

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin Fairchild Beams one of those big smiles that can melt ice, towards Miyako giving her a wave as she walks over towards her. The thing about having long legs is you can walk really really fast without walking fast, So she crosses from the clothing store where she was in just a few steps catching up to the fleeing blue very fast.

She doesn't spot him though as he calls out as she walks " Miyako hey! "

Blue Ranger has posed:
Stopping *just* short of running into the slightly shorter Origami woman, Billy blinks slightly as she greets him so calmly, and he pauses to actually assess her garb. He tilts his head. He adjusts his glasses, and he quirks an eyebrow curiously. "Such an interesting fashion choice," he remarks softly, "but... Hello," he greets in return, trying to remain polite, feigning a small smile. He then turns as he hears the familiar voice he heard yelling obscenities just a day or two before.

He turns his head back toward the redhead as he notes the two exchanging pleasantries. Oh dear. They know eachother.

He's caught in the crossfire.

Well, at least Caitlin isn't going to recognize him!

"I'm from out of town," he begins to explain, glancing back toward Miyako, hastily explaining himself, laughing a little bit and trying to play dumb. "Uhm. I'm just trying to acquaint myself with the Mall here. It's rather nice," he notes, looking around.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore ohs! "Well, is there anything I can help with?" She looks down. Interesting? What, the boots? She didn't plan alternative footwear. Hmph.

"I was going to get some pretzels."

She smiles and tilts her head a little bit. Is he.. trying to flirt with her? Badly? "I suppose it's nice. I was just in this part of town."

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin Fairchild Blinks as she walks over closer and peers over at the two " I hope I'm not interrupting? " She says she has a bit of a slouch in her walk or at least tries to make herself look less tall maybe. She puts her arms behind herself as she peers at the two not wanting to get in the way .

Blue Ranger has posed:
"Oh, uhm. Well, I mean."

Billy stammers for a moment, getting a little tongue tied. If he *is* trying to flirt, he is indeed failing. But, no, he isn't. He's just trying to come up with a good excuse to get out of the insanely awkward social situation without his voice being recognized by the tall Amazonian woman, because there's one thing the Ranger suits don't do - and that's modulate their voices. He clears his throat again, and he looks toward Caitlin.

"N-no, ma'am. Not interrupting anything!"

He then looks back toward the Origami Girl, tilting his head. "That's.. uhm, a lovely cow, by the way."

... A lovely cow. Wonderful line there, Billy.

Maybe they'll chalk it up to him being an odd Canadian. "I think I'm gonna go find... uhm... what do you Americans call them? A Chic-Fil-A, *eh?*" He tries to accentuate the "eh," as he begins to turn to try and make his awkward departure.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore ohs, "I don't *think* you are?" She looks a bit concerned at the explosion of social awkwardness directed at her.

Yep. Definitely the most incompetent attempt at flirting she's seen in awhile. Poor guy! It's kind of sweet.

She points in the general direction of the food court. "O-okay! It's really nice to meet you! Maybe we'll talk more sometime." She smiles helpfully, not wanting to discourage the poor guy. Maybe it'll give him more confidence next time.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin Fairchild Blinks " you're better off going to the Mexican food cart outside the foods real " she offers to try to be helpful " Those churros are to die for " She doesn't mention she had like 30 of them.

She also tries to be helpful, she doesn't recognize the voice least not yet as she smiles at Miyako " Out here shopping? "

Blue Ranger has posed:
With that being said and done, Billy is almost tripping over himself, trying to escape in the general direction that Origami Girl had pointed, raising a hand to wave in general toward the two women. "It was nice to meet you, as well!"

As he passes the cow - which moos at him - he blinks, and looks down at it, blinking.

"Americans are *wild,*" he remarks to himself, shaking his head quietly. "And I thought it was strange in Angel Grove and Riverdale..." His remark is quiet, but who knows? He may be awkwardly loud enough to be heard.

And with that, he's making his departure, glancing back at the two for a moment... studying both of them. The redhead... and for a moment longer, Origami Girl. Eh. Fashion sense aside, she *was* kind of interesting.

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore mmhs, "I wanted some pretzels. I think it's the salt. Or the cheese." She contemplates a moment and stops herself from adding 'Or maybe the bread', because, welp. "The only place I know to find pretzels right now is in a mall, so here I am."

She glances after Billy a moment, catching him looking her way, and smiles reassuringly at him with a small wave. I mean, he seemed friendly. Just really, really shy.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin Fairchild While she doesn't have the SUPER hearing of the others she is more than human so she picks that up.

Her head snaps up to lock eye's with billy and he can tell she knows or something cause she just gives him a cute nod

Turn back to Miyako "Still got the cow, it's cute " she smiles "Pretzels are good I would recommend Ess-a-Bagle if you want something like that but they aren't here "

Origami has posed:
Miyako Moore sighs, "Oh darn. Well, they probably have that other place here, and those are good too."

Her eye is drawn to someone running out of a shop. She reaches in her bag, pulling out a sheet of paper, and quickly folds a paper crane, tossing it in the air. It grows to large cat size, flapping its wings and chasing after the guy who's running, screeching and cawing at him from above.

She looks back to Caitlin - the security guards can deal with it from there. "Have you been doing anything exciting?"
