Nemean has posed:
Last night, Cody Garrett lead a team of mutants and superheroes to attack a Triad operation and steal something of extreme value to The Foot Clan and the Shredder. The police had been called and had found all the Triad and Gambini family members tied down with webbing and crates full of Hammer brand weapons. But the one thing that was missing from the crates was a small black briefcase with a canister inside of it.

Cody had brought the canister and briefcase back to his apartment, and locked them up inside of a safe in his bedroom, behind a false wall in his closet, which also had several of his guns inside of it. He was going to hold onto it for a few days until the heat died down and then meet back up with Ghost Spider and give her a sample of it.

Shredder has posed:
    Displeased.

It's not good when the Shredder is displeased, and that is what he was last night. The turtles, along with a series of new acquaintances, made trouble for what was supposed to be a quiet and simple shipment. A shipment containing utromium, also known as mutagen.

More displeasing was that the police did not find that shipment. The Triads were not rescued that night as many who have aided him. They will be left to stay in their cells for now as a punishment.

The GPS tracker, however, was still intact. The Shredder was not about to hand the recovery task to anyone, not even Karai. Not where such a precious resource was at stake. No, this mission saw the Master of the Foot's attention personally. He looks up at the apartment complex. "You are certain he is inside?" he asks one of the assassins.

"Yes," she answers with a bow.

"Good. Sifu, your ninja shall watch the exits, do not engage unless he is fleeing." He motions with a blade armed hand, and walks straight to the entrance. He pulls a small pellet from his hand, and casually flicks it off his finger at the entrance. The little black stone emits a pulse, disabling the localized cameras as he crosses the street.

The doorman didn't deserve his fate. He didn't even have the opportunity to greet the steel-coated warrior before another hand flicks a shuriken at his throat, not even breaking stride to do so as he approaches.

Nemean has posed:
The GPS has tracked it to this building, and the guide on the lobby directs that C. Garrett lives on the 8th floor in apartment 802. At the moment he's sitting in his living room watching TV, so he's not exactly expecting anything crazy to happen. If he knew about the GPS tracker, he'd have disabled it, or maybe taken it to somewhere it couldn't be tracked.

Shredder has posed:
The Shredder walks to the stairs, and six of his Foot file in behind him. He points at the elevator, and one of them stops to take up post. He ascends the stairs his cape bouncing behind him as he climbs flight after flight. One of his Foot grows weary of the constant flight climbing, but the master does not slow, a steady pace all of the way up the stairs until he reaches the eighth floor. 802.

The pause is momentary, and then his hands pull back, and focusing his energy he palm strikes the door, sending the wood splintering from the door jam as the latch is torn free, and the five remaining Foot soldiers drive forward like the sea, spilling into the apartment like rushing water.

Nemean has posed:
The door exploding inwards is impossible to ignore. As soon as the door slams against the wall on the other side of the hallway it leads into, Cody jumps up from his couch. He's wearing nothing special, just a t-shirt and a pair of gym shorts. This was supposed to be a night to relax. He rushes towards not the door that the ninjas are rushing down, but trying to get his hands on a sawed-off shotgun that he keeps under the counter there.

He hopes he's fast enough to get to it before the ninjas get to him or this might end up being rough. Someone told him he should keep weapons on him even when he's at home, he really wishes he'd listened.

Shredder has posed:
The first Foot in carries tonfas, spotting Cody and rushing forward and flinging the wooden weapon toward the cop as he makes for the side table. He doesn't know there is a shotgun there, but he knows that if it's the priority upon a breaking and entering, whatever he wants isn't good for them. Shredder and the other ninjas are directly behind, Shredder standing straight and unconcerned despite the urgent scenario unfolding.

Nemean has posed:
The tonfa flies through the air and strikes Cody in the shoulder, knocking him back and away from that table. Still at least now he has a tonfa. That's better than nothing. The ninjas are practically on top of him now, and he grabs that weapon that was hurled at him and wheels around with it to strike the closest ninja.

He can see Shredder behind the others, it's a straight hallway. Even if he gets through all five of the ninjas somehow he doubts he'll be able to take on the big guy. He looks sharp.

Shredder has posed:
The tonfa cracks the first ninja across the face, having not anticipated the reversal with his own tonfa. He falls backward and into the wall, even as the others fan out to block the cop's opportunity for exit, various weapons in their grips.

"Agent Garrett," Shredder says. "It would be unwise for you to resist me," he instructs calmly and casually. "I think you know why I am here. If you have spent time with those abominable turtles, I think you know who I am as well." Behind the mask, his brow raises, as if requesting a confirmation from the law man.

Nemean has posed:
Cody stands there with the tonfa, assuming a defensive stance, but none of the other ninjas come at him yet. Shredder apparently wants to talk, "You know you could knock like a normal person." He says to Shredder.

"Yeah I know what you want, though I don't know why you know it's here. Frankly you've been a pain in my ass for weeks now with your whole 'trying to take over all the crime' thing so I'm tempted to not tell you where it is."

Shredder has posed:
"You've been a pain in mine for approximately sixteen hours," Shredder answers, "And that is long enough. You believe that I am 'trying' to take over the crime in this city? You have been woefully under-informed." He holds out his hand casually. "Give me the mutagen." The tone is frightfully even and unemotional, and he says it as if he expects that Cody will do exactly that. No threats, no appeal to reason. Just a simple command.

Nemean has posed:
"So I'm sure that this works on most people but I'm pretty sure you're just going to kill me regardless. So you'll have to forgive me if I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request. Now, you have me outnumbered, but I could probably have backup here in a couple of minutes if I wanted to. So lets try that."

He whips the tonfa towards one of the other ninjas and runs, grabbing his phone as he runs towards his back room, where the safe is. Maybe he can get off a text message or two for help before he gets swarmed.

Shredder has posed:
The ninja raises his arms to block the strike, giving the opening for Cody to run toward the back room. The Shredder is less interested in avoiding any minor bruises, and without seeming preparation, he leaps forward himself, a flying kick aimed to offset Cody's trajectory and send him into the doorjam rather than through the doorway.

Nemean has posed:
It's a solid kick. Because of course it is from a ninja master. Cody slams into the doorjam and falls to the ground with a hefty thud. He grunts loudly, holding his side as he tries to push himself up to his feet. He appears to have lost his phone as he flew through the air, which kind of ruins his plan of calling for help.

Shredder has posed:
As quickly as he burst into motion, the Shredder is again casual in his movements, stepping over toward Cody and gripping his T-shirt, yanking up on it and pressing him against the opposite side of the door jam, his fist bringing the backs of the blades horizontally to rest across the underside of his chin. The other hand pricks the abdomen with the tekko-kagi claws, and holds them there.

"Many people have given such ill-fated claims that they will never talk," he says, his face close, his breath passing odorlessly and hot through the black fabric that hides hif ace. "They do this because they do not know that it can take up to forty-five minutes to die from being disemboweled. It is very painful, but not nearly as disabling mentally as you might think. That means as I search your home and find not only the mutagen, you will watch me find your family. You will watch me find your friends. I will find out who they are and where they are, and what they love. You will understand what is happening as I find the mutagen and as I discover the identities of the people you hold most dear. And then you will die, knowing that your bravado cost not only your life, but theirs as well."

There is a moment in those sable eyes, and he seems to have a thought cross his mind. "But. I am in a generous demeanor. If you right now bend your knee to me, and give me what I came here for without feeble attempts at humor or nobility, I will not kill you, nor shall any of those who serve me." He releases his grip, but does not take a step back from Cody's personal space.

Nemean has posed:
The natural thing for him to do is to fight back, to try to get to one of his weapons, even come up with a witty remark. But the way Shredder is looking at him, the fact that he can see those eyes behind that mask, he knows every word the guy just uttered is true.

"Fine." He says, in a defeated tone, after Shredder lets him go, "The combination is 36 - 42 -25. I'll let one of your goons go get it because there's a few guns in there and I know I'd be tempted to grab one."

Shredder has posed:
One of the ninjas quickly rushes back to the safe, but Shredder does not break eye contact as the ninja starts to open the safe. He continues to stare down Cody. There were two things he said were needed, and the agent has only done one of them.

Nemean has posed:
"I should have figured you meant that literally and not just metaphorically." Damn ninjas. Always with their weird traditions and stuff. Cody takes a deep breath, and then lowers himself down to a knee, lowering his head.

It practically hurts him to do this, but a lot less than it would hurt to have Shredder's blades driven into his gut. How's he going to explain this to Alopex and Leo and the others? They trusted him to keep this stuff safe and he failed miserably.

Shredder has posed:
The mutagen is revealed, and Shredder nods, only passively taking in Cody's obedience. "Take it directly to the scientist," he says. "Do not be delayed." The ninja does as commanded, and closes the briefcase, and rushing back out of the apartment.

"Now stand, Cody Garrett," Shredder commands. "This evening is not over for you." He points toward the door. Apparently this is also a kidnapping.

Nemean has posed:
Great. He should have expected as much. Well at least Shredder's probably not going to kill him. Probably some weird ninja honor or something. But he could change his mind at a moment's notice so Cody opts to go along for now.

He hopes somehow one of the group he's been working with finds out about his being taken. There'll be signs of a struggle. But do any of them even know where he lives? Microchip might, that'll at least be a start. He can't worry about that for now. He'll have to play along until he's sure he can keep everybody safe.
