Profile
He was a normal kid until he lost his mother when he was about 6. After that, his father delved into gathering information on the supernatural and turned himself into a hunter- raising him and his brother the same way. With his father gone often as they were taken around on his hunts, Dean spent a lot of time helping to watch over and raise his little brother. The two were inseparable until Sam decided to make a life for himself outside of 'the hunt', and went to college. Continuing to work close with his father, Dean lived his life on the fringe of 'existence', always using some fake name or scammed identities to get by. He's learned a lot of tricks of the trade and knows how to stay just on that edge. Free. No ties. Always on the road and always something to hunt and someone to save. That is, until a splinter cell of 'Blue' people decided to start murdering parents on the edge of the coast in New York and he went to investigate. This is where he disappeared for almost a year. His father on a long hunt, his brother out of contact- he wasn't really missed, was he? Enduring a long haul of torture of the creatures, he finally was freed. On solid ground and recovering losses, he's getting back on his feet to get back into the game and find his brother and father. This isn't something he can be the lone rider on anymore.
(OOC NOTE: For those unfamiliar with the character, Dean is about as Non Politically Correct as is possible. You've been warned.)

Dean stands at a lean 6 feet even, lightly tanned hinting to not being a stranger to the outdoors. Sporting an ivy league haircut, it is clean cut with that same light roguish sense of dark brown hair that fits his personality. Green eyes with the darkness of a forest of night almost always have a glimmer of some humor or mischief that he surrounds himself with. A sharp jaw, shaven but with an almost constant 5 o'clock shadow and slightly full lips make up the rest of his facial features. There are a few faded scars on his jaw and temple from previous scuffles along with one on his neck- a year or more old.
On his lean and muscular build he dresses casually, but with what he considers a cool look. A black t-shirt slightly hugs his chest and arms, showing a teasing of the cut body beneath. Over this is a dark grey-green collared button up shirt that remains undone and untucked, the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. When it is chilly out, he sports a brown, slightly weathered leather jacket over this. Though one thing remains constant in his attire- blue jeans and black boots.

January 24th, 1997, Dean Winchester is brought into the world kicking and screaming in Lawrence, Kansas, his hometown. His childhood was like any other- he was happy, it was a happy life, happy family. When his brother was brought in to existence, he was about to turn 7. Six months later, everything changed.
He watched as their mother burned on the ceiling, he carried his little brother out of the fire at his father's order- and then.. the happy life was over. His father obsessed with finding the demon responsible, he was changed from a boy into an adult rather quickly. Trained in various fighting techniques, reading mythology and learning about supernatural creatures and their weaknesses, even having a gun of his own as early as 9 years old.
Living on the road with his dad, he took care of his brother. Staying behind to help raise and tend to him while their father went off to battle the evil that plagued the world- all on the crusade to avenge his wife. He went to school after school, never staying in the same place long, always having a different last name and learning quickly that to keep his brother safe, he has to basically not exist to everyone else. His brother and father quickly became all he had as he never could have real friends outside of them.
Growing into a young man, he was angry when Sam left for college. While he understood his brother's want to have a normal life, doesn't mean he agreed with it, or the fact his brother abandoned them and the work they were doing. Dean was always hardcore into the Hunter's life and adopted it like a second skin without regret. He never understood why Sam didn't.
Four years later, his father abandons him as well, leaving his journal behind with a cryptic clue of coordinates pointing to New York City. Investigating a problem on the coast led him into a bad scuffle with the Blue People, creatures that live deep in the ocean. A splinter cell, bent on bad things- he learned. Overpowered and drug under, he spent close to a year in torture as they wanted to know if there were others like him- who he worked for, who he was affiliated with, anything to lead them to protect themselves from losing more of their kind to Hunters. Of course, he never gave up anything. He even started to give up hope of ever leaving the underwater prison.
That is, until Aspen appeared and saved him. Even saved his Impala from the ocean's floor. Recovering on the edge of town, with her help, and getting back on his feet- he is determined to find his brother. Right some wrongs- make sure he is alright and return to the family business and find their father.

Dean is a lot more complicated and intelligent than he puts off, and generally people take that for granted. With his upbringing, he has a keen perception to the world around him and things that are off. Just the same his training in investigation has taught him to gently interrogate through multiple personas without giving any of his true self or past away. Though sometimes, he may offer a truthful revelation about himself if it will help him get what he needs.
While not considered a bleeding heart, the hardened soldier of a Hunter does care. When people are in danger, he doesn't run away, and will jump into the fray to protect them.
Generally, though, he comes off as slightly immature, mischievous, funny, but an understanding guy. Generally has much better luck with ladies than his younger brother, not quite being a womanizer, but the type to enjoy the fairer sex without attachments. He also has an affinity with communicating with children, helped by how he aided in raising his brother- he has that gentler protective older brother feel.
One thing about him is that he could be fairly considered Old School. Almost stuck in the 90âs. The way he dresses has that somewhat feel, the putting out of a cool guy front to easily fit in. SURVIVALIST
Raised on street-smarts and a con artist, Dean knows how to live on the fringe of society and do so well. Credit card scams, cheating, impersonating, hustling, even stealing... Whatever it takes to survive and get the job done. Not to mention, have money for food, the upkeep of his impala and a hotel room to sleep in when he can for a real bed.

Another thing that was drilled into him from a young age was fighting unarmed, or Hand to Hand Combat. Trained by his father and various of his hunter network allies along the way, he is able to hold his own in a fight without weapons. This includes a small touch into various martial arts, wrestling, and general scrap-bar fighting.
