Fantomex is Weapon XIII. Though unlike his predecessors, which were attempting to experiment on amplifying mutations for their own vile deeds, Fantomex was created out of the rather creative idea of experimentation with technological humanoids. Or, cyborgs, to be more precise. Fantomex was created and grown artificially in an enhanced testing area to train super soldiers known only as 'The World'.

Fantomex was known by Charlie Cluster-7 as his model and codename (initially) though he's taken to the name of Jean-Phillipe, which could have been his -actual- name. Though perhaps only those who made him know his true identity.

As it stands, Fantomex is a Mercenary and Assassin. With a a pretty wicked French accent.

The man that stands before you is averagely tall, standing at about 6'1" with clear blue eyes and long black hair that comes down to his shoulders. He has a very light beard that grazes his face in a very stylish manner that only seems to add to his apparent charm. He has a strong, square jaw with normal cheekbones. All in all, a beautiful man.

In terms of a physique, he's extremely fit, as per his being a super soldier. Every muscle looks like it was chiseled out of the finest marble. All extremely defined and all very well kept up to par. Peak human condition, if it were put into a short phrase.

When in his normal attire, he often wears a black longsleeve shirt with blue jeans and combat boots. Though sometimes to fit in with his environment, he'll put on either a Yankees baseball cap or a black beanie on his head. Underneath that shirt? Oh yes, you guessed it. Lots and Lotsa nd -LOTS- of guns.

As Fantomex, he wears a black and white armored bodysuit with a popped collar and a longcoat of the same color patter and design. Over his head is a lightly armored mask with eye holes so he can see without any of that fancy tech that's been going around. Full gloves cover his hands and a utility belt where he can store his ammo and weapons and other gizmos is around his waist.

Fantomex is Weapon XIII. Or, cyborgs, to be more precise. Fantomex was created and grown artificially in an enhanced testing area to train super soldiers known only as 'The World'.

Fantomex was known by Charlie Cluster-7 as his model and codename (initially) though he's taken to the name of Jean-Phillipe, which could have been his -actual- name. Though perhaps only those who made him know his true identity.

Some people say he's from France...but no, he just sounds and acts like he's French to annoy people. He's English, but in terms of his true identity, that's all that's really known.

Ultimately, his origins are a complete mystery, leading many to wonder who in the hell this guy actually is....but what he would tell you? He's an Assassin. A Super Soldier. A Mercenary. The guy you call in when you screw up so badly, that you're willing to pay a price to get back out.

Not liking to be controlled, Fantomex eventually broke free from Weapon Plus and went his own way. While he still hates them with a vengeance, he's teamed with other groups, various as they are, in helping take care of the filth that rids the world. and other times? Other times Fantomex -is- the filth.

Just depends on what day you catch him on.

Personality

Fantomex, in a word, is extremely insufferable to most people who come across him.

While he can be generally compassionate and always willing to lend a helping hand, more often than not he works to his own ends and his own benefits. Though at times he has his selfless act where he helps out a team beat up the bad guys, at the end of the day, he's still a soldier and he's still a mercenary. He enjoys manipulating and messing with people as a personal form of entertainment and he has no problem with killing people.

He has a soft spot for kids.

ENHANCED SENSES
Fantomex's senses, due to him having three brains, are incredibly heightened. He has the nose of a bloodhound, the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox, to put it in laymen's terms. His sense of perception is so strong that he can often notice beings who aren't normally able to be noticed by even superhuman senses.

It generally makes him -extremely- difficult to sneak up on and rarely ever is he genuinely caught by surprise.

ENHANCED SPEED
Due to his super soldier training and E.V.A, Fantomex can run with greater proficiency than the average human, able to run at peak human physical ability and then some. At his best, he can run up to 30 mph, though he can speed up to 40 for short bursts.

ENHANCED STRENGTH
as a Super Soldier, Fantomex has a small strength boost, but it's not a whole lot. He can lift to the absolute peak of human ability, which is roughly about half a ton. He can bend steel, break apart chains, toss people through brick walls, and can lift the average person with only one arm and do it with ease. His limit is unknown, but don't expect him to toss cars around.

E.V.A.
Fantomex's 'mutation'. E.V.A is a techno-organic lifeform that has managed to 'grow' and exist in Fantomex's primary nervous system that exists both internally and externally. Serving as Fantomex's 'partner'. Thanks to E.V.A, Fantomex possesses not one, not two, but three brains; Each one fully capable of high-class processing and thought, which makes Fantomex an extremely efficient soldier.

E.V.A is like a benevolent parasite. It has a telepathic connection to Fantomex and he to it. They constantly 'speak' to one another. In times of trouble, E.V.A can 'detach' from Fantomex to work with him as a physically separate entity.

An ability known as Bioshock, E.V.A can 'eject' itself from Fantomex in the form of a bioelectric ball filled with painful volts of electricity. While not lethal at all, it's very useful in immobilizing, paralyzing, or knocking out those who he apparently wants to capture alive. Unfortunately, it cannot effect anyone with the right armor or defenses against electricity.

She can also eject herself and take on her own physical form to act independently from Fantomex, even though they would still be telepathically connected.

When separated, E.V.A can shapeshift. More specifically, she can turn herself into a rather moderately sized ship that's capable of aerodynamic flight, it's max speed being about 580 mph. It is not capable of space flight.

When Separated, E.V.A is capable of hacking into high tech computers, technically being an advanced computer itself.

In terms of Durability, E.V.A has the durability of a super soldier. She can be thrown through walls and remain standing and fall from tall heights and suffer very little damage. Being a techno-organic organism, her greatest weaknesses are electricity. While she can emit electricity through her bioshocks, she can still be overloaded to be taken out of the fray...and possibly even destroyed by it.

Being Fantomex's nervous system, if he separates from E.V.A and she is injured, he will be the one who feels the damage. and vice versa. If he is injured, E.V.A is the one who will feel it.

E.V.A is the direct source of all of Fantomex's mutant abilities.

HEALING FACTOR
Fantomex has a great deal of pride in his ability to come back from injuries that would most definitely be fatal for a human. He's survived being shot in the head and has effectively cheated death on so many occasions he can't count them all on both of his hands. Nevertheless, his healing factor has it's weaknesses, and it's not all powerful. For example, he can't regrow lost limbs and he can't regenerate internal organs that he's lost.

But what he -can- do is heal from minor wounds within a few minutes, moderate wounds in an hour, and severe wounds within a few days. More often than not, he's never down long.

IMMUNITY TO PAIN
Using E.V.A, he can shut himself off completely to pain. Get shot? not even a wince. Arm broken? Not even a shout of pain. It helps him shrug off most injuries, but not all. He can just keep on coming! However, he is getting hurt, but E.V.A is the one that feels it. Though he won't feel any pain, E.V.A will take it all on. his body will still shut down on him if he takes so much damage. For example, if he is shot in the heart, or a vital organ, he won't feel it...but he can still bleed out.

INODOROSITY
Fantomex's body does not produce any kind of toxins that would be noticeable by the nose. In short, he has no scent. No smell off of him that would be natural. Of course, he can still wear cologne, but naturally? There is nothing.

MISDIRECTION
A form of telepathy. Using the combined consciousness of his three brains as well as with E.V.A, Fantomex is able to perform extremely realistic, complex, and convincing Illusions. It's quite helpful to aid his case if he's lying or trying to manipulate someone. He's so good with illusions that even high-class telepaths are often left aghast and wondering if he's lying or not. However, this power works on most, but not all. Those who are extremely skilled with illusions or perception may be able to see through his own illusions. This power has very little or no effect on godlike beings.

SUPERHUMAN AGILITY
Fantomex's body is incredibly agile thanks to a heightened sense of balance. He can easily make it as an Olympic-level gymnast, more than capable of performing acrobatic feats with relative ease. He's extremely good at parkour and using flips and spins in combat to throw off his opponent.

SUPERHUMAN DURABILITY
He has the endurance and durability of a Super Soldier. He's been thrown through walls, taken beatings all the day long, fallen from tall heights, and he's been able to get back up to finish the mission. He can take a licking and keep on ticking, as they say. Though don't expect him to get up nearly as fast from being walloped full throttle by someone like Superman.

ACROBATICS
Specifically trained in line with his masterful agility, Fantomex is proficient in acrobatics. So much so that he could probably win the gold if he participated in the Olympics.

BODY READING
Fantomex is extremely skilled at reading the body language of others. In a social setting, this helps him 'feel' out the room and judge true intentions, especially if it's behind a smile or a grimace. Subsequently, it aids him greatly with his skill in manipulation.

In combat, he can anticipate attacks before they strike. Think of it as a game of chess. Where normally the average player may think one or two steps ahead, he can think about 5 or 7 steps ahead. As such, it makes him extremely effective in combat and able to change his tactics and stances on the fly. But...it's not a catch all. It's just what he -thinks- is coming, so unpredictable actions can throw him off completely.

HAND TO HAND
Fantomex is an extremely skilled hand to hand combatant. He's trained in multiple martial arts, courtesy of the Weapon Plus program, including Karate, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Doe, Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing, Capoeira, Krav Maga, and likely others. But those are the ones known. This, Coupled with his ability to read his opponents, make him a dangerous man to fight against in close quarters combat.

MANIPULATION
Fantomex is extremely good at manipulating people. Using this in direct conjunction with his ability with E.V.A to craft illusions, he's able to craft his words very carefully. A powerful silver tongue, he can word things delicately enough to change someone's mind on something, or even affect emotions. He's normally very good at getting what he wants with words alone and is even better at tricking people.

MARKSMANSHIP
Fantomex is extraordinarily skilled in a multitude of weapons. but even more so than that, his aim is impeccable. Rarely does he miss. As an aside, he can also be extremely creative with his aim. Able to ricochet bullets off of walls at best.

MULTILINGUAL
Thanks to his Weapon Plus training, Fantomex is fluent in more than a few languages, including: English, French, German, and Russian.

SPYCRAFT
Assassinations, sabotage, hiding in plain sight, disguise, alibis....Fantomex is highly skilled in all of it. He wears a mask most of the time anyways, so people have a harder time knowing who he is. This is his -job- and profession. This is his life.

THIEF
Fantomex is a skilled Thief, having been a professional at acquisitioning that which doesn't belong to him for quite a few years. He blackmails millionaires on a daily basis, he steals priceless works of art from high-security museums and buildings. He's a skilled Thief, perhaps one of the best in the world.

ARMOR
Fantomex's armor is meant to be both a defense against physical attacks as well as against psychic assaults. His body armor is made out of a special ceramic. It includes a utility belt and multiple straps and pockets to place grenades, ammunition, pocket knives, big knives, etc.

His mask is also made out of the same material as his armor, though with an added kick of heavy psi-shielding to prevent him from being attacked psychically or mind controlled by a powerful telepath.

FILTHY RICH
Through unknown means (most likely by stealing it or from his money as a mercenary), Fantomex has acquired for himself an immense fortune. He's been an off and on member of the Hellfire Club as a result. He has about 40 million dollars, give or take. Needless to say, he can afford really anything he needs.

GUNS
Fantomex uses ceramic weapons with special Ceramic bullets that allow him to get through metal detectors and the like completely undetected. Though his ceramic guns can fire normal bullets as well. He has plenty of weapons of the same ceramic design and make: Sniper rifles, assault rifles, shotguns, rifles, handguns, revolvers...and of course more normal weapons like rocket launchers, grenades, and the like.

ARROGANT
Fantomex is fearless and he's arrogant, knowing full well that he's damn good at what he does. He sometimes just makes plans up on the fly when he heads into the fray, and that...is honestly the source of his greatest mistakes right there. Do the math.

HEALING PROBLEMS
While having a healing factor is great, his healing isn't all powerful. More than likely, he's not going to get back up if he's torn to pieces or decapitated. Or at least...people don't think so. It's a solid way to take him out of the game permanently.

INSUFFERABLE
Fantomex is....generally not a nice guy. Or rather he is, he just -loves- to mess with people. For example, he's not -actually- French, but he talks with a strong French accent and sneaks in a few French words to act like he is....then proceeds to talk like that just because he -knows- it annoys people.

His sarcasm and targeted humor often make him targets for people wanting to kill him out of the sole reason of safety for their sanity. He's gained many an enemy because he doesn't know when to SHUT UP.

MANIPULATION BACKFIRE
Despite how calculating and specific he is about manipulating others to suit his own ends, it's when they grow a brain and realize that he's been duping them does things often turn against his favor. At the worst times, it's turned even his strongest allies against him. Some of them still hate and/or don't trust him to this very day.

SENSORY OVERLOAD
Enhanced senses provide Fantomex with some awesome perception, yes, but it can also be overloaded. His hearing, specifically. Because his ears are so sensitive to sound, a sonic attack or high pitched -extremely loud sound- could overwhelm Fantomex into unconsciousness or stun him long enough to put a beating on him.

SHARED LINK
E.V.A is Fantomex's primary nervous system. With that in mind, if they separate, while Fantomex is completely unable to feel any kind of pain, if E.V.A is damaged in any way, he -will- feel it. Their relationship is heavily symbiotic.

Also, because of this, when Fantomex works to focus on his internal nervous system to shut out negative feedback from E.V.A depending on what the situation is, Fantomex will be color blind, only able to see his environment in black and white.

THREE BRAINS
...three ways this can go horribly wrong. At times, there is a malfunction between the communications of his brain. It can make him argue with himself, it can give him brief periods of mania, or it can give him a temporary new personality trait. For example, one malfunction made him want to be the best at literally -everything-, making him almost suicidal in his attempts to do so. It can also lead to moments of indecision or a 'lapse' in thought. While it's all Fantomex up there...sometimes it can get a little bit jumbled and make Fantomex just a wee bit different each time it happens.

WEAPON PLUS
Fantomex is Weapon XIII. A 'failed experiment', they would tell you, despite that they successfully created an extremely efficient soldier. They would like nothing more than to get Fantomex back and either dispose of him, or use him as a basis for others like him. Fantomex avoids Weapon Plus like the plague.
