Reed Richards was a child prodigy. He holds numerous degrees and is a Nobel Laureate many times over. He helped found the Fantastic Four and has represented humanity on other worlds. It could be argued that he is the most famous human who has ever lived. His fame extends far beyond his home planet of Earth. He is a scientist at heart, but circumstance has made him a hero. He is often treated as the de facto leader of the World's Great Heroes, the Fantastic Four, although that is a title he would prefer to ascribe to his wife, Sue Richards. He is respected throughout time and space. Despite claims to the contrary, he does not bear responsibility for the disfigurement of Doctor Doom's face. He does however bear full responsibility for the current state of his best friend, Ben Grimm.

HYPER INTELLIGENCE

Reed Richards was already a super genius before he was bombarded by cosmic rays. In addition to the physical changes in his body's makeup, his intelligence was even further enhanced to superhuman levels. Not only is Reed Richards arguably the most intelligent man on Earth (something Dr. Doom would challenge), he has demonstrated he is even superior to numerous alien intelligences, even those from much older and more advanced alien civilizations. He has shown himself to be superhumanly gifted in every scientific field on Earth and beyond, and has used his many patents to support the Fantastic Four as well as his own research and philanthropy.

MEMORY

Reed Richards has a impressive memory, and is able to recall a wide range of designs, topics, and other data, bringing them to mind almost immediately. It's rare that he can't simply spout off facts and figures about subjects he knows without having to research or even consult his notes, and he often give talks off the cuff, letting them flow organically rather than preparing them in advance.

PLASTICITY

His exposure to cosmic rays altered Reed Richard's biochemistry, allowing him to to alter his body at will to exhibit fantastic elasticity and durability. In this state, his body systems appear to function normally despite his transformed state, including respiratory, circulatory, etc.. This transformation can take place at will and is near instantaneous. His body is extremely dense in this form and almost impossible to penetrate or lacerate unless he deliberately chooses to relax and let it happen. This ability is reflexive, happening instantaneously even if Reed is unaware of the attack. He has demonstrated the ability to avoid damage from projectiles and even the ability to redirect them, as well as being able to surround and absorb even massive explosions or impacts. He has the ability to elongate his body at very long distances, up to 1500 feet, though the longer he stretches the more uncomfortable and even painful it becomes. He can use this ability to restrain opponents while winding his body around them, and can use this extension of his body to move himself very quickly, well beyond human speeds. He also has demonstrated incredible malleability, allowing him to change his shape into a wide variety of forms: a parachute, a glider, a cushion, a sling shot, a bouncing ball, or a variety of geometric shapes. He can also modify parts of his body specificallly, turning his hands into weapons, or changing parts of his body into tools, like fans or a lockpick. He has even demonstrated the ability to flatten down to a a near two-dimensional state to slide under doors or other thin entrances, or even to achieve a semi-liquid state to flow through small holes or mesh, giving him the ability to infiltrate into otherwise impregnable locations. While he's no stronger than a normal man of his age and fitness, but can increase the power of his strikes through a combination of resdistributing his mass, forming apendages into weapons, and elongation to make the best use of physics. Finally, he can use fine manipulations of his body to imitate other people, even growing or shrinking in size and bulk; however, he cannot modify attributes like skin tone, or hair or eye color without additional cosmetic disguises.

CHARISMA

Reed Richards is a very charismatic man, though he tends to convince people to his side through reasoned debate and appeals to their better sides than through appeals to raw emotion and demagoguery. He believes that verifiable facts are better for swaying opinions, as it lets people their own decisions based on those facts. He often can convince even criminals to behave better, even outside of pure self interest, at least in the short term.

ENGINEERING

Reed Richards has personally constructed a wide range of inventions, vehicles, robots, and other devices. He is equally adept mechanically jury-rigging existing machinery to constructing a new device entirely from scratch, including the tools and advanced materials needed. This extends to understanding and adapting alien or extra-dimensional technologies, though an entirely new device may take him a little bit of time to grasp how it works and how he could make use of it.

MATHEMATICS

Reed Richards is capable of solving incredibly advanced mathematical problems and equations in support of the many scientific endeavors he pursues. He is a master of all branches of mathematics, from trigonometry and geometry to calclus and differential equations.

SCIENCE

Reed Richards has mastered a wide range of scientic subjects, having attended top schools all over the world, including Caltech, Harvard, M.I.T, and the University of Vienna in Austria. His knowledge includes, but is not limited to: Aeronatical Engineering, Astronomy, Biology, Biochemistry, Communications, Computer Engineering and Programing, Cybernetics, Engineering, Energy Generation, Extradimensional Physics, Forensic Science, High Energy Physics, Holography, Nanotechnology, Metahuman Biology, Physics, Robotics, Spectral Analysis, Starship Construction, Time Travel, and Xenology. AERO-SUB

One of Reed's earlier inventions, the Aero-Sub can function as a jet aircraft, or retract its wings to function as a submersible. It was constructed originally out of parts of some of Reed's earlier aircraft, the U-Car and the Fantasti-Jet, both of which had since been replaced by more advanced aerial vehicles. Like most of Reed's inventions, it is unarmed, depending on those inside for defense, and has often been lent to allied heroes for use.

FAME

Reed Richard and the Fantastic Four are known by people all over the world and even out into the wider galaxy. He has close ties with a wide variety of other superhero, government, and philanthropic organizations and can often call on them for assistance.

FANTASTICAR

The Fantasticar is a flying vehicle that can carry several passengers and can break into up to four independently powered modules for individual flight. 

FANTASTI-FLARE

Reed Richards has developed a flare gun that when fired, creates a fiery numerical "4" symbol in the atmosphere, which is large enough to be seen from any of the five boroughs of New York, and will last for up to several hours. 

FOLD SHIP

Reed Richards has crafted a wide variety of spacecraft, from the original ship that was responsible for the accident that created the Fantastic Four, to his most recent, the Fold Ship. Reed has used the many new technologies and principles he has discovered in his interactions with advanced alien technologies and built them into the most recent design. The Fold Ship is designed to fold the fabric of space itself through technological principles, allowing for instantaneous travel. While it is designed to launch vertically from its hangar, it includes vernier jets that allow for it to hover and to land horizontally if needed, and includes an extendable ladder for disembarking over terrain too rough to land on. It often incorporates various additional devices and inventions that make space travel and exploration easier, most notably high tech life support bracelets that allow the wearer to survive comfortably in the vaccumn of space. The ship is heavily reinforced and incorporates multiple redundancies to ensure it can return from even the most dangerous encounters in space with its crew alive and its systems intact.

FOUR FREEDOM PLAZA

After the Fantastic Four relocated from the Baxter Building, Mr. Fantastic designed this new, much larger base. In addition to the living quarters for his family and friends, it contains a wide variety of individual laboratories, manufacturing areas, hangars, and other research facilities. It also contains a variety of areas open to the public, including a science museum, library, and zoo, as well as the various public offices that interact with the public on a regular basis. It even has a gift shop. The building stands at the corner of 42nd Street and Madison Avenue, New York, New York, in the United States of America.

HYPERWAVE

Reed Richards has combined his research into communication technology into a quantum-entangled communicator that allows for true instantaneous conversations across the vastness of space, via linked headsets. He often provides said headsets to those who can travel under their own power in space, but who might have problems actually communication while doing so.

PIER FOUR

Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four have a secondary installation called Pier Four, which is located in Gravesend, Brooklyn. It has many of the same amenities of Four Freedoms Plaza, but in a more efficient, and much smaller, package. 

REDUCTA-CRAFT

This vehicle is the product of a rare collaboration with Dr. Henry Pym, aka Ant Man. It uses a generator incorporating Pym particles to allow it to shrink down to microscopic size, even to where it can enter into the Microverse. The craft itself is unarmed, essentially a cockpit that can seat several people in front of an engine module containing the engines and the Pym particle generator. Mr. Fantastic has modified the generator to self destruct if meddled with, in respect for Dr. Pym's desire to keep his technology out of the wrong hands.

S.T.A.N.

The Space/Time Analyzer/Navigator was invented by Dr. Richard originally to assist in traveling through the Negative Zone, but has since been enhanced and improved to help him with his dimensional research and exploration. It was originally designed with a harness for the Thing to wear, in order to carry it and to be propelled through the odd dimension. It is capable, as its name suggests, of analyzing and providing navigation for other dimensions, though it does take a bit of time to adapt to each new dimension it encounters.

STIMULATOR

This bulky rifle-shaped device is designed to enhance or restore the energies of those affected by cosmic energies, such as the Fantastic Four themselves, or mutates. It has on previous occasions been used to restore the Fantastic Four's powers after they had been drained by Dr. Doom, or to restore a weakened harbinger of Galactus to full power.

UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR

Due to often ending up in alien worlds or other dimensions, Reed has often found the need for some way to decipher and translate alien languages quickly and efficiently. He's constructed a device that can do so, which is capable of not only translating into English or other Earth languages, but translated Earth languages back into an alien language. It's not perfect, as much of language is culture, but it adapts quickly the more it is exposed to a new language.

UNSTABLE MOLECULES

Reed Richards has invented a type of cloth that is made out of unstable molecules that he has used to create uniforms for himself, the rest of the Fantastic Four, and other heroes in need of the material. These uniforms adapt to the superhuman powers being used by their wearers: for Mr. Fantastic, his costume can cling like a second skin and stretch with his body, while Johnny Storm can burst into flame without destroying his uniform, or turning invisible along with Sue Storm when she uses her abilities. This material is also extraordinarily durable, generally preventing wardrobe accidents, though it can be damaged. Each uniform incorporates molecular circuitry and data processing elements that create a network between aligned uniforms that transmit the wearer's physical condition,and location to all team members. This includes the ability to scan the wearer's surroundings and match it to a database as to the local environmental conditions, even to what planet or dimension the wearer currently is visiting. Each suit is also capable of displaying information via touch controls and a small screen that appears on the forearm of the uniform when in use. Reed can use this molecular circuitry along with his own powers to link into almost any computer system, as long as it has some sort of data port.

WEALTH

Reed Richards, and by extension, the Fantastic Four, are multi-billionaires thanks to the numerous patent they hold in various scientific innovations.

ENEMIES

Reed Richards has acquired many enemies over the years. Not only do they know who he is, and where he is, but they also know about his friends and family. 

FANTASTIC FOUR

While mostly a strength, Reed Richard's feelings towards the rest of his team and extended family are deep, and tie him to them. This extends to Sue and his children Franklin and Valeria, but also to his brother-in-law Johnny Storm; his oldest friend, Ben Grimm; and other teriary but longterm associates, such as She Hulk or Crystal. People who want to get at Reed can often do so by targeting his extended family, and Reed often takes chances he would normally consider unsafe or just questionable in order to aid his family.

GUILT

Reed Richards holds himself responsible for what happened to his family on their risky flight into space that got them bathed in cosmic energy. He feels especially guilty for his best friend Ben Grimm's transformation into the Thing, and has often attempted experiments to try and transform Ben back, or at least into a more comfortable form. He likewise takes full responsibility for his mistakes and the effects of his various inventions and experiments, unintended or not, and will do all he can to fix or at least make up for the issues they create. This means people generally know exactly who to blame if something goes wrong.

MAGIC-

Reed Richards does not believe in magic, at least in the supernatural sense. Rather, he views all magic as simply forms of energy manipulation or physics intruding from other dimensions, and often tries to construct a scientific model that explains the reality of the magic he encounters. Because magic often defines the laws of this universe, he can be taken by surprise by magical spells and effects directed at him.

OBSESSIVE

Reed Richards can become very obsessive when conducting experiments and researching whatever project has most recently caught his interest. This causes him to be very distracted and to block out outside interruptions and distractions, to the point where he can seem cold and emotionless. It often has caused strife with family and friends when he forgets to arrive at meetings, to do tasks they'd asked him to do, or to show up for important events. It's not that he's just absent-minded..it's that he tends to dismiss anything that directly having to do with his current research in order to best focus on it. He's often apologetic when he comes out of these periods of intense investigation.

PUBLIC IDENTITY

Reed Richards is well known throughout the planet and beyond, even on alien worlds, or in far distant galaxies and dimensions, as Mr. Fantastic and part of the Fantastic Four. His home address at Four Freedoms Plaza is well known, he has a phone number the public can reach, and he generally makes no effort to hide his public activities from the world. This makes him a target for those out to harm him or those close to him.
