Sara Pezzini was just a normal New York police detective when a fateful encounter changed her life. Now, the current host of the Witchblade, she not only tries to do her job as normal, but she also fights for control of the Witchblade's violent nature as well as fights against people trying to take the Witchblade from her for their own nefarious purposes.

Description:

By straight looks, Sara Pezzini doesn't look like a detective. She looks more like a model, though not the waifs that so often walk runways now. More like the pin-ups of WWII or the silver screen stars of the 1960s. And yet, there's something in the way she carries herself that suggests she can more than take care of herself and has no time for nonsense.

She's relatively tall for a woman at 5'9", built with curves that take work to keep in check, legs long and waist trim. Her features give testament to her Italian heritage, with dusky skin, full lips, high cheekbones, and a sharp, strong jawline. Auburn brown hair falls mostly straight to mid-back, matching large, slightly tilted eyes of a rich golden brown.

She dresses comfortably and purposefully, in slacks and a button down on duty or jeans and a t-shirt when she's off. Regardless of work, she's usually wearing practical boots and a jacket, and always wearing a silver bracelet on her right wrist, set with a large red cabochon and a smaller blue one.

History:

Sara Pazzini was a typical New York City detective. She was good at her job, and she even had a partner to work with. One call at the docks, however, would completely change her life. A bust of organized crime went bad, and she was involved in a shoot out. Her partner was badly wounded, and so was she. However, when she was shot, she crashed into a container containing the Witchblade. It decided to become a part of Sara and it regenerated her wounds. A few days later, when she woke up, it surprised her that she did. She didn't know how, but she knew something was strange. her partner was still in a coma, and she went to find the people responsible. That was when she realized that she had the Witchblade. Now, she's trying to find out more information about it, as well as remain in control.

Personality:

Sara Pezzini has a pretty black and white view of the world, due to her work in the police department. However, despite her black and white view, she does try to be mature about it. THose she considers friends, she protects as best she can, even if it means protecting them using the Witchblade. And she will kill to protect them.

Abilities

Blades:
The Witchblade is able to create bladed weapons and edged limbs for Sara when she needs them. This includes along her forearm and extra appendages from her back.

Enhanced Strength:
The Witchblade allows Sara to lift Over 500 pounds, but less than 1000 pounds.

Extra Limbs:
If need be, the Witchblade can create extra limbs, with blades, to protect Sara in case she is fighting more than one opponent, or needs to fend off a much faster attacker.

Flight:
In times of great need, The Witchblade is able to give Sara a pair of wings to fly. She won't break the sound barrier, but she CAN fly decently fast.

Healing Factor:
The Witchblade grants Sara an unbelieveable healing factor. Able to regenerate bullet wounds and cuts almost instantaeneously. She almost has the ability to regenerate limbs, but it's not quite that strong.

Mystic Sense:
While Sara, herself, doesn't have this ability, the Witchblade symbiote DOES. When it's able to detect something, it lets Sara know through it's connection to her. She generally gets a sense of threat level, whether she's in immediate danger, and power from the connection with the Witchblade. In a manner of speaking, The Witchblade has an Aura Sense power, but has to relay the information to Sara, whom, having almost no magical power other than the Witchblade, has to have it 'described' to her...and that takes time.

Pyrokineses:
The Witchblade is able to create fire, as well as lob fireballs and create gouts of flame. the witchblade is also to create showy effects, such as create a fire dragon from flame, make flame turn into people and such as that. it's also able to lessen actual flames, as well as increase flames.

Witchblade Armor:

When it becomes active, The Witchblade envelopes Sara's body in a sleek metal armor that's reminiscent of the medieval armor of old.

Sara is only passively knowledgeable of using anything with a blade, such as knives. However, due to her use of the Witchblade, she is slowly learning.

Criminologist:
Sara is a Detective, first and foremost. So she can see criminal behavior and predict it sometimes.

Sara is an Expert with various forms of firearms, mostly pistols though.

Witchblade:

The Witchblade is a symbiote that chooses it's host. It's a intelligent symbiote that is known throughout the mystical community, and has a very high danger level, even to the most powerful of mages. It's considered an artifact that only chooses female hosts.

It's known throughout the mystical community as an artifact of considerable power, and it tends to be very very aggressive, with a penchant for destruction. Only the most strong willed or closely bonded are able to keep it calm during a fight, but once the 'host' has been KO-ed....the Witchblade takes control and....No one is safe.

It's favored element is fire, and it has a penchant for having a flame aura around it, to where only the host is safe from it and it is also living steel. It can create blades and armor that can mimic vibranium at times, but ONLY if the Witchblade wills it.

Adversaries:
The Witchblade has 12 other 'weapons' like it, and it is an anti-weapon to them. So if there is another in the area, it becomes hostile immediately.

Mortal:
Sara Pezzini, on her own, is very much mortal. Without the Witchblade to protect her, she's quite vulnerable to suffocation, sickness, getting shot, being hurt, and much more.

Symbiotic Relationship:

The Witchblade is a type of symbiote. It feeds upon Sara's reactions and tries to keep her alive as it's host. It also tries to gain control of her at certain times, so at times when her body is weakened, it may take control. Which is bad since the Witchblade is VERY violent.
