Founded by Lex Luthor in 2026 in secret as a direct adaptation against S.H.I.E.L.D. and the organised 'champions' of stagnation that call themselves heroes, this democratic shadow council styles itself as members of the enlightened amongst humankind. Meant to consolidate control behind the scenes, the Light seeks to bring their vision of progress to a world they consider theirs to lead.
