Born the heir to the isolationist, but super advanced African nation of Wakanda, he was raised to be strong, wise, and just. After events robbed him of his father, T'Challa was blessed by the goddess Bast, the Panther Goddess, and was granted the mantle of The Black Panther. Now, he is not only Wakanda's King, he is also it's protector. A man of honor, integrity and charity, T'Challa now leads his nation and his people into the future with an eye to the past.

This man looks like he is in his mid 20's, lithe and even predatory.. Stong defined cheekbones and chin define his face, chocolate skin, is flawless. Mild brown eyes that bely both a wisdom and a ferocity if pressed. Short shaven hair and few days of growth on his cheeks give him a rugged but distinguished look.

He is wearing a jet black armored bodysuit, very nearly skin tight. But it's not spandex. If you look close you can see the mesh of the material. The mans thick and strong muscles tighten and flex as he moves. A 'necklace' of teeth inlaid in a silvery material sits around his neck, but it appears to be just a pattern. A similar pattern encircles his forearms.

His hands are encased in armored gauntlets, the fingertips a little thicker than one might expect from simple gloves. There is no belt and the rest of the bodysuit appears plain. But the helmet he carries is stylized like a panthers face. Jet black like the rest, feline ears molded into the material on either side. The eyes are a silvery material and there is no mouth.

T'Challa was the first biological son of T'Chaka, King of the African Nation of Wakanda. His mother, N'Yami, died while giving birth and his adopted older brother, Hunter, blamed him for her death. His second mother, Ramonda, left the family when T'Challa was only eight. T'Chaka believed Ramonda had run away with another man, and so decreed that no one would speak of her in his presence again. Only decades later did T'Challa learn Ramonda had been kidnapped and brought back to her native South Africa.

T'challa trained hard every day with various masters and tutors flown in from across the globe. Honing the boy into a weapon and a scholar simultaneously. One day, he was invited to sit with his father at a conference. The Bilderberg Conference invited T'Chaka to sit at their table in order to negotiate use of Wakandan goods. As T'Chaka rejected their offers, criticizing their materialistic and selfish ideology, they let their agent, Klaw, take a hit on the Wakandan family. Killing T'Chaka and intending to slay the entire family, Klaw was forced to retreat by the young T'Challa.

As a young man, T'Challa traveled to America and Europe for school. B'Tumba, his childhood friend, was sent by his father N'Baza to study alongside him. While in the US T'Challa used the alias "Luke Charles" to remain incognito. when he turned 17 he applied for and got into Oxford university, where he gained a Ph.D. in Physics.

After his schooling he came back to perform his duties in his tribe to become a man to lead the country. He was sent to find the sacred Heart-Shaped Herb, whilst searching he was captured by A.I.M.

B'Tumba, his childhood friend who had grown sour and bitter from being constantly in T'challa's shadow was ordered to execute his friend, but since he couldn't do it, he freed T'Challa and joined him in battling the A.I.M. soldiers. During the combat, B'Tumba was fatally wounded, and after A.I.M. retreated, he apologized to Black Panther before dying.

After beating the then current Black Panther and taking a Heart-Shaped Herb to link him to Bast, the Panther God, the herb also enhanced him which made him almost superhuman as T'Challa became the new Black Panther, leader of the Panther Clan, and King of Wakanda.

That was 5 years ago, and since then T'challa has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of his countrymen. To defend his borders from those seeking his countries vast wealth, and to aid the heros of the world where they need it.

T'challa is a King. In every sense of the word. He was groomed from birth for the role. Trained and educated and tutored by the finest teachers money can buy to be the best there is for what his country needs. From birth he was fed the ideal of 'Wakanda comes first' and he lives that Ideal. Every battle he fights, every move he makes.. in some way or another.. benefit Wakanda.

That being said, he really does have a good heart. He wants to help his fello man, and actively tries to. His country funds several charities that actively seek peace in warzones, aid the victims of warcrimes. He wants to make the world a better place.

BAST'S FORTITUDE
T'Challa's skin, bone, and muscle tissues are augmented to levels that are considerably stronger and harder than human and the tissues are impervious to injury to an extraordinary extent. He's not bulletproof or injury proof by any means, but he is harder to hurt than most.

BAST'S GRACE
T'Challa's agility, balance, flexibility, dexterity, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of an Olympic gold medalist. He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. Not quite Spiderman, but still impressive.

BAST'S REFLEXES
T'Challa's reaction time is superior to that of any Olympic athlete that has ever competed. His reflexes are so efficient that he can dodge and deflect point blank gun fire, dodge bullets from machine guns and sniper rifles.

BAST'S SPEED
T'Challa is able to run and move at speeds superior to those of any Olympic athlete, and is capable of reaching speeds of 40 mph. He has the ability to attack faster than the eye can follow. His combat speed seems more enhanced then anything else, as he has frequently kept up with other enemies in combat, and blitzed people before they pull the trigger.

BAST'S STRENGTH
T'Challa has received a blessing from the Panther Goddess Bast, which elevated his strength to superhuman levels. His physical strength is somewhere between 800 lbs. and 2 tons although the full limits aren't known.

BAST'S ENDURANCE
T'Challa's body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles and his musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina, exceptional endurance, and lung capacity; in all physical activities.

His lung capacity is at peak human level enabling him to hold breath for 9 minutes underwater, making his lungs as healthy as human's lungs can get. He can physically exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue toxins begin to impair him.

BLACK PANTHER LINEAGE
T'challa has been gifted the mantle of the Black Panther. The title of the protector of the African nation of Wakanda. It is taken by right of combat from the previous holder, allowing the winner to consume the Heart Shaped Herb a plant that only blooms in one place, deep in the heart of Wakanda, and it comes with certain benefits.

BLESSINGS OF BAST
The mantle holder of Black Panther receives multiple blessings from the goddess Bast, the goddess of Cats and patron deity of the Wakandan nation for millennia. In addition to the many physical blessings and enhancements, he can focus and call on the spirits of every previous Black Panther before him, calling on warrior skills, survival and tracking, diplomacy.. He can call on millennia of wisdom to aid his efforts. When he is in doubt on anything.. he has a hotline to his ancestors.

LICK YOUR WOUNDS
T'Challa is able to regenerate injured tissue and brain cells to an extraordinary degree, heal broken bones, torn muscles, but is unable to regenerate missing limbs or organs. Is immune to all Earthly diseases, infections and disorders, he's highly resistant to gas attacks, poisons, and nerve-toxins.

PANTHER SENSES
T'Challa can see with far greater clarity and greater distances than an ordinary human. His eyes have developed tapetum lucidum after eating the Heart Shaped Herb, allowing him to see in near-total darkness and retain the same level of clarity.

T'Challa's hearing is similarly enhanced, enabling him to detect sounds normal humans can't (ultrasound, low frequency, and heartbeats included) and sounds they ordinarily could but at much greater distances.

T'Challa can memorize tens of thousands of scents. His heightened sense of smell enables him to recognize people/objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent and track them to the exact location, can smell fear, and detect if someone is lying by change in body odor(normally by perspiration).

T'Challa's sense of taste is sensitive to the point that he is able to taste the exact ingredients of any particular food he is eating.

ACROBAT
In addition to his powers, T'challa actually trained as an acrobat and gymnast. He could be an Olympian if he chooses. But he has a higher calling.

GENIUS
While not quite a skill, a carefully maintained eugenics 'program' within Wakanda and the surrounding nations has resulted in a more perfect human. T'challa possesses a genius intellect, comparable to any of the greatest minds in the world. Hand in hand with this, he possesses a true Eidetic memory (photographic) which means he can recall information acurately after only a glance.

MASTER MARKSMAN
T'challa has been trained with all manner of ranged weaponry as well, Throwing knives and axes, pistols of all sizes, rifles of all sizes, military hardware included.. He is lethal from 2000 Meters.

MASTER MARTIAL ARTIST
Owed in part to his physical blessings, T'challa has been groomed to be a warrior from his birth. Groomed to take over the mantle of Black Panther. An expert in practically all forms of armed and unarmed combat, and a master of all martial arts including African, Israeli, South African and Chinese. He is a master of stealth, disguise etc.

MULTI-LINGUAL
T'challa has been taught and picked up many languages, He is fluent and can read and write Bantu(his native tongue), English, Swahili, French, German, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Portuguese, and half a dozen more dialects and subsets of these.

PHYSICS
T'challa has been formally educated in Physics at Oxford University, obtaining a Ph.D . He would be a welcome addition to any research team.

TACTICIAN
T'Challa is a genius tactician, strategist, and leader who is practically peerless. He was taught tactics and strategies in his youth by his father who encouraged him to always think two steps ahead of his enemies and three steps ahead of his friends.

TRACKER
Even without his superhuman senses, he is a master tracker and hunter. He can read the land and follow the signs with relative ease. Even in Urban jungles he can follow his prey.

WEAPONS MASTER

In accordance with his grooming as a warrior, T'challa has been extensively trained on all Melee Weapons from all nationalities, swords, spears, flails, maces, hammers.. and exotic weaponry as well.

BLACK PANTHER SUIT
As chieftain of the Wakandan Panther Clan, the ruler is crowned with a ceremonial regalia in the form of a Vibranium laced panther habit. T'Challa received this crown-like garb after being judged by the Panther Goddess. The appearance of the suit has changed over time, but has retained its abilities. Over time the technologically advanced Wakandan nation has upgraded it. The suit is designed specifically to augment, and never hinder the wearer. The suit features:

Sensory Enhancers: Specialty lenses in the helmet grant the wearer vision into the infrared, as well as tracking EM energies. Recently, a reactive heads up display has been added, giving him situational advantage.

Vibranium Microweave Mesh: The microweave robs incoming objects of their kinetic energy; bullets do not ricochet off, but simply fall to the ground when they come in contact with the weave. Likewise, the Panther cannot be stabbed, however, the costume (and Panther) can be cut if the attacker slashes along the uniform's grain.

Anti-Metal Claws: Retractable claws in the gloves are made of Antarctic Vibranium-based "Anti-Metal" that can break down nearly all metals at the molecular level, allowing him to shear through most metals with relative ease.

Energy-Dampening Boots: Energy regulators create varying fields from the Vibranium in the molded soles of the boots, enabling Panther to survive a fall of several stories and land like a cat. He can run at full speed in absolute silence.

Given enough momentum, the Panther can also scale walls or skim across water. The field can be also used offensively to shatter or weaken objects, or defensively to rob incoming objects of their momentum as shown when he stopped a car thrown by the Hulk from crushing him by using the Vibranium in his boots.

Cloaking Technology: The entire costume can be covered allowing it to pass as normal street clothes or render T'Challa completely invisible, by bending light around him.

CONNECTIONS
As king of Wakanda, the Panther has access to a vast collection of magical artifacts, technological and military hardware, as well as the support of his nation's wide array of scientists, adventurers, and superheroes.

DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY
As the leader of a sovereign nation, He often visits the United States or the United Nations for political reasons. He enjoys diplomatic immunity during these trips, and his embassy is considered foreign soil.

DORA MILAJE
When in Wakanda, T'Challa is always heavily guarded by the Dora Milaje. When travelling the world, T'Challa is still well-guarded with anywhere from 1-5 Dora Milaje agents close and ready to come to their King's aid. The Dora Milaje are a sworn group of faithful women warriors who are well trained and would give their life in a heartbeat for their King.

WAKANDA
T'challa is the rightful ruler of the Isolated African nation of Wakanda.

In the distant past, a massive meteorite made up of the sound-absorbing mineral vibranium crashed in Wakanda, and it's unique radiation began shaping it's people and flora.

Due to its isolation and intentional isolationism, Wakandan technology has, until recently, developed entirely independently of that of the rest of the world. As such, the design philosophies and methodologies are different, and often incompatible, with conventional equipment. In some areas, Wakanda is ahead of the rest of the world. For example, Wakandan computer technology is much more powerful than that of the rest of the world, and is completely immune to outside hacking, as it is not based on binary electronics; it can, however, emulate the behavior of such electronics at hugely enhanced efficiencies, allowing it to easily hack almost any conventional system.

Being the only reliable source of the incredible metal Vibranium (a few small scattered meteors from Antarctica making up the rest.) His nation has sold trace amounts of this metal over the years for enormous sums of money, resulting in Wakanda being one of the wealthiest nations on the planet.

WAKANDAN WEALTH

The nation of Wakanda has amassed immense wealth over the years and T'challa is king. He can, and has.. treated the Wakandan treasury as a bank account. He, through his country, is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. His wealth is near limitless.

ARROGANCE
T'challa has led a charmed life. Groomed from birth to be King, to be a peerless warrior. He has never wanted for anything, has had the best education in the world. His nation is one of the most advanced in the world, both technologically and societally.. his nation is a utopia. These things leave T'challa feeling a certain pity towards the rest of the world.. and sometimes he doesn't bother to hide it.

MARKED
One of the most basic rules of humanity.. some will covet what others have. Wakanda has a lot. And others want it. This leaves a target on T'challa's back.

OVERWHELMED
For all of T'challa's blessings and gifts, his considerable senses can be overwhelmed. Unexpected loud sounds, or lights or other stimuli directed against him can overwhelm his senses and leave him in a state of confusion and disorientation.

WAKANDA PRIDE

The King and protector of Wakanda will do anything to protect his nation. Anything at all. First and foremost, his nation comes first.. even above acting to save others as a hero.
